Spent a week at this hotel recently. First found the hotel in 2017 when staying elsewhere in Kalkan.
We have been going to Kalkan since 2005.
We booked a private pool room, 105 in 2018 and private pool room 106 in 2019.
This year I tried to book 106 again but it was booked so we booked delux private pool room 704 as it was a big birthday for me.

Arrived at the hotel and was taken to the room WOW is all I can say.
We had seen the pool on previous stays and it’s the largest private pool in the hotel, part of it has an infinity edge looking over the bay. The room itself is big with a huge walk in shower but the best thing is the view, floor to ceiling sliding doors all along the room which open out onto a huge balcony with glass barriers looking right out over the bay enabling you to see all along the bay. The view was the best we have ever had in a hotel. There was also another terrace at the side with the lovely padded sun beds and this is where you got into the pool.
The room also has its own private access so you don’t have to go into the hotel to get to the room.

What makes this hotel is special is the staff as well as the location.
Some changes of staff this year and the previous bar and restaurant manager, Muharram, is now the hotel manager. He is excellent and very attentive without being over obtrusive.
My partner has sweeteners in coffee and was told by one of the waiters that they didn’t have any. A few minutes later, Muharram appeared with 3 packets of sweetness and the next morning he came over with a box of them for my partner. This is an example of the excellent service you get here and demonstrates what a great manager he is. Simple things like that make a huge difference and makes it stand out from other hotels

The breakfast is good, adapted this year due to covid but everything still available as on previous years. Did not eat in the restaurant at night this year as they were only offering the lunch menu. Lunch remains excellent, very good value for money.

Some previous reviews mention “jobs” that need doing. I do agree with this as the hotel is around 6 years old now and some areas do need a bit of “ touching up”. Would not normally mention this but the hotel isn’t cheap so I think this does need to be looked at.

Looking forward to returning next year and I don’t think we would now stay anywhere else in Kalkan.

This was our first visit to Asfiya Sea View hotel and we were not disappointed. The hotel has the most amazing views across the bay and is perfectly located for walking down to the harbour and into town; there is a shady walk way with steps a short distance from the hotel, which takes approximately 10 minutes.
The rooms were spacious and bright, with ample hanging space and drawers. The shower was separate from the toilet and wash basin, which was convenient when two people are getting ready to go out in the evenings.
The ground floor rooms had direct access to the pool, the first and second floor rooms had a larger balcony with seating and a coffee table; all rooms had a sea or pool view.
Breakfast was good, there was plenty of fresh fruit, nuts, yoghurt, cheeses, cooked meat and bread, you could also order a freshly cooked omelette which my husband did most mornings.
We had lunch at the hotel a couple of times, which was beautifully presented and of a very high standard. The staff work hard keeping the hotel and its grounds clean and tidy, but most of all they are extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed going back to the hotel bar each night thanks to Selcuk, the bar and restaurant manager, he really was the life and soul of the hotel (and yes, he does look like a young George Clooney)! Sadly Selcuk had to leave suddenly before the end of our stay for personal reasons; it just wasn't the same without him there.
Kalkan is a fabulous place with cobbled streets, rooftop restuarants and cocktail bars galore, all of a very high standard. We hope to go back in 2024.

We have just returned from another amazing holiday at this hotel, this is the third time and we never repeat holidays. However everything about this hotel and all the incredible people that work there make it a relaxing and fantastic holiday. Muharram (the manager) is outstanding- he knows every guest by name, will make every aspect of your stay enjoyable. All the guys that work at the bar / restaurant all deserve medals for being attentive, polite and brilliantly efficient. The rooms are lovely, private pools an added bonus, pool area is clean and safe with ample beds (no awful towels on beds at 3am scenarios). I could go on and on about how great this place is- all I can say is please stay here you won’t be disappointed. Will def be back for a 4th trip. Highly recommended.

Recently returned from a 10 night stay at the hotel. Our 4th visit since 2018.
We stayed in room 704 again.
Have previously gave the hotel a 5 star review but also mentioned some maintenance issues on my last review.
Unfortunately I can’t give it 5 stars this time.
The maintenance issues have not been rectified and in fact these have got worse. For example there were part of the roof tiles missing at the side of the room this year. The glass on the balcony quite clearly had not been cleaned for a while on our arrival. It was covered in bird droppings etc. we had to ask them to clean it but this was only done on one side so didn’t really improve it.
The toilet roll holder/ toilet brush holder was completely rusty and the grouting in the floor tiles in the room needs re doing.

Some people may think I’m being picky but it’s quite pricey to stay here, particularly room 704 so I feel the standard needs to be maintained.

The management of the hotel has also changed this year and we did not recognise any staff from our previous visit in 2020. The ambiance of the place has changed we felt and feels less exclusive.

However despite this we had a great time again. The view from 704 is absolutely awesome. The food is outstanding at lunchtime but we didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening.
Breakfast is still good but not as much choice as in previous years as pastries and croissants not offered this time. The waiters, although different this year, were just as good and attentive.

I always said that since discovering the hotel in 2018, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. However I’m not so sure now as I feel the maintenance issues need to be looked at, particularly with the price they charge for the room. So come on Asfiya owners, get the above sorted to bring back the magic to the hotel.

If you are looking for the ultimate relaxing break in kalkan then look no further!! Me and my partner have just stayed here and had the most amazing holiday. The location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk into the town and harbour with stunning views all the way.
The room was perfect with everything you need. Spacious, comfortable bed, powerful shower and always cleaned every day and drinks station topped up. I suppose the swim up room made it that bit more special and the views are to die for!
As for the staff they were absolutely brilliant and nothing was ever a problem. I've never seen a hotel manager (Muharrem) be so friendly and work so hard. Would always find time for you and didn't mind rolling his sleeves up to help out his staff.
Thank you to everyone at the asfiya hotel for making our holiday sooo special and would definitely recommend you and wish you all the best for the future and hopefully we will see you next year!
Mike and Lauren.

4 Star?? no way. Rooms terrible, dated tired and not clean. Nothing in the room worked, dirty fridge with a broken door, recently been painted, painted all over glass screens, tiles on floor grubby, if the decor & design where classed as shabby chic it was definitely more shabby than chic. I could go on and on. Tried to change hotels but due to Turkey being one of the few places left to travel to because of covid everything was booked. On the plus side the food from the limited menu was good & the staff wonderful. Complete holiday ruined because of the condition of this shack. Mo your a great guy, get this place sorted it could be wonderful.

We booked very last minute for a week of bed and breakfast at the Asfiya Seaview Hotel , having visited some four years ago. We stayed in room 702 which was huge, had wonderful views of the bay and town of Kalkan and also its own small swimming pool. We had a fabulous time - staff are so friendly and its an easy walk into the town with plenty of shopping and restaurants to try. A perfect week away from it all and we look forward to returning soon.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here and love it. The hotel and their staff are wonderful, the location is 10/10 and the view is spectacular. A special shout out to Selcho (spelling wrong !!) who was the restaurant manager - he was utterly amazing. Always smiling, nothing was too much trouble and he largely carried that hotel management with his professional and friendly manner. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make our stay even better. Pool is quiet most of the time with very comfy sunbeds but I think the hotel should consider applying a minimum age limit (16+) for this hotel as the pool / area is too small for loud / boisterous youngsters. Other than that would highly recommend it.

Our biggest complaint is that the hotel is very poor value for money. We were paying four star prices for three star accommodation. The whole place is in need of repair and maintenance. The sunbeds were literally falling to pieces, the mattresses on the sun beds had holes in them, most of the sun umbrellas were tatty. Whilst we were there a step on the ladder into the pool came away. We raised several complaints about the lack of hot water. For the first week we were there we could not have a hot shower when we wanted. After complaining to reception several times we even tried sending an email to the manager but still got no response. We were told that the manager had tried to contact us but obviously not very hard, as we were in the hotel most of the day in question. One evening there was no hot water in the whole hotel. Again there was no response by way of an explanation or apology from the management. The swimming pool was very disappointing, one pool wall was covered in coarse pebble dash which you had to be aware of at all times, it was also not very deep for swimming in. We are definitely at a loss to understand the good reviews other guests give this hotel in view of the amount of refurbishment required to bring it up to a reasonable standard and to justify the rates charged.
The hotel has great potential being in an ideal location, with wonderful views, spacious rooms and lovely staff.
