We returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at Pasha Apartments at the end of August. I’m slightly reluctant to leave a glowing review as there’s only 9 apartments and the more fantastic reviews this place gets the more people will want to book and the more difficult it will then be to get in in future years! However Simon and Pauline who own/run the place deserve all the credit they get, they’ve got a gem on their hands! Pasha really did become a home from home even in the relatively short time we were there. We were made to feel unbelievably welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone who works at Pasha goes out of their way to make sure you’re having a good time. Simon was on site at some point pretty much every day and was a fountain of local knowledge always eager to pass on any tips and always keen to find out what you’d done the previous day. We had an issue with the shower on the first day and it was all fixed within 20 minutes or so. As for the hotel itself, our rooms were a good size and nicely decorated. Air con in the bedroom which spread into the rest of the apartment if you left the bedroom door open. There was also a fan in the apartment but we didn’t tend to use this very much. Wardrobe space for a family of 4 (who don’t travel light!) was a little scarce but not a major issue. A highlight for me was the cleanliness of the rooms. The maid who is lovely and always smiling really did an excellent job. There was Wi-fi available in both the bar area and pool area and this could sometimes also be used from our room. The pool area is beautiful. A nice sized pool for the number of guests and always sunbeds available and plenty of umbrellas. There’s a lovely shaded seating area aswell. At some times of the day we were often the only people round the pool so it was very much like having our own private villa but with a bar area close by aswell! Four or five resident tortoises also added to our girls daytime fun. In terms of location we felt you couldn’t get much better. Turn right out of the apartments and a slow 10-15 minute walk took you to the centre of Kalkan, with a couple of bars, shops and restaurants along the way; turn left up the hill and you have a number of superb restaurants along the Kalamar Road with the closest being just a couple of minutes walk and 4 or 5 others within 5 minutes. There are two supermarkets on your doorstep one being a large Migros store which we used regularly. Great choice of fresh fruit and veg, freshly baked bread and a good choice of alcohol including some IPAs which made a nice change from the Efes! My favourite thing about Pasha was probably the superb quirky little bar area run by the fantastic Rambo at night and the lovely Debbie during the day. It’s open to guests and non guests and always had a good atmosphere - we started every night out with one of two drinks before we left and often ended the night with one or two more on our return! Prices were a little bit cheaper than places in the centre which is never a bad thing! At the time of booking, Pasha didn’t serve food so we thought that we would have to order in when having lazy days around the pool. However luckily for us (and everyone else) the highly regarded Papatya Cafe has relocated this year from its previous location to use the bar space at Pasha between 10 and 4. And it is fantastic. Superb food, all freshly cooked. Really good prices too. Have a look at my separate review under the Papatya Cafe restaurant listing to see just how highly we rated it! I really have nothing bad to say about Pasha. There’s a few things to be aware of, like the windows in the rooms not being double glazed so you can sometimes hear dogs barking at night or loud vehicles passing and there are stray dogs that tend to roam around the front of the property, but these were minor issues and there’s definitely nothing that would spoil your stay. Although we were first time visitors to Pasha and Kalkan the majority of guests were return customers and it’s so easy to see why. Pretty sure we’ll be returning ourselves in the hopefully not too distant future. Couldn’t recommended this place more! Cheers to everyone at the Pasha for a superb stay. …
Kalkan is a beautiful, friendly, safe resort with a stunning coast line, amazing restaurants and tons to do. We went in August 2020 for the second time and went back to stay at Pasha. Simon and Pauline go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing holiday. Pasha is ideally located and a short walk into town. Simple and lovely apartments, beautiful pool and lovely chill out area with the best cocktails around. It is also incredibly good value. Great to go as a couple, with friends or family. It ticked all the boxes for us and could not recommend more highly.
Wow! What a little gem. Beautiful courtyard style bar and gardens with artworks on sale by the owner. Simple but thoughtful menu with some real comfort food choices and yummy breakfast options. I really like the “build your own breakfast” idea and it’s great to see Papatya’s new location. The perfect stop off for breakfast if you are a guest or not and be sure to try the cakes if you can! Looking forward to my next visit and trying a lunch I think....Thank you to Simon and all the team x
I don’t want to tell anyone about this place because it’s so special! I want to keep it to myself. Never have I visited the same place twice. These photos are from my 3rd year at Pasha. Kalkan is a special place and so is this hotel. Also best cocktails in town, an amazing English breakfast from Debbie (although the Turkish food around is amazing). Simon, Pauline and Rambo are so friendly but but tell anyone I told you!
We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful apart-hotel. Clean, well equipped rooms with a lovely pool side area complete with resident tortoise, only a short walk into town. The whole team can’t do enough for you and the bar area has a friendly, relaxed feel. Kalkan is a stunning small town with fabulous restaurants and beach clubs that have drawn us back year after year. First time at Pasha and we will be back for sure. Definitely recommended!
