It's been a long time since we last visited Kalkan and we decided to return to the Meldi for our holiday. Once again we were treated royally by the wonderful staff. Walkable from the town, it is the perfect location to enjoy the amenities in Kalkan. The pool is a great size, with a pool bar to relax and enjoy lunches and drinks. Nothing is a bother to the staff, you can't fail to love it.

We visited in July 2017 and have been meaning to write a review since. We had a great stay. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Fantastic pool area with bar. Set back from the main road, this hotel is very peaceful. Great food also! Comfortable and clean rooms. Thank you for a great stay!

What an amazing stay at the Meldi. This was our first time and we hope to be back very soon. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a large pool and lots of sunbeds, only a short walk into town. The rooms are clean and spacious with a small balcony thats great for relaxing on when you've had enough of the pool. The hotel is in a quiet area and very peaceful. Nothing is too much trouble for the whole team and they are the kindest, friendliest people your likely to meet. We spent lots of time at the bar in the evenings and a special thanks goes out to Fatih for his hospitality and patience! What a lovely send off at the end of our holiday with all the team outside to say bon voyage. A gem of a place. Highly recommend.

Have just returned from our second visit of 2018. Had a fabulous time. Having travelled extensively over many years, we now relish our time at the Meldi. It is like coming home. We have met some wonderful like-minded people here and hope to do so for some time to come. Thank you again to everyone at Meldi.

We have visited this hotel over a period of five or six years now and feel it's time I submitted my up to date review. The Meldi sits up on the side of the hills that surround the bay in Kalkan. It overlooks the bay and surrounding area's, the views are beautiful. Taxi's are very easily ordered and always readily available and very inexpensive. It takes about five or ten minutes to walk into town depending on how fast you want to walk. It's just far enough away to give you the peace and tranquility if that is what you are looking for. This is a family run "Turkish" hotel by turkish people and not by a holiday company nor part of a chain. We have been going to Turkey for many years now and stayed in different areas but Kalkan is where our heart is. Friends of ours have been visiting this hotel for about eighteen years as well as many other regular guests. If people keep booking and re-booking then something must be right, and they have got it right. Now, with my Trip Advisor head on , and I can speak with experience, this is not the Ritz, BUT, for comfort, service, friendly and helpful staff, food and surroundings in my opinion outstrip many others I have stayed in. The staff are, like many other people in Kalkan extremely friendly, helpful and very efficient at what they do. Staff at the hotel have been there since it opened and seems as though no body, but nobody ever leaves! That says something by it's own own right. If the staff and management are happy this equals happy guests and happy guests re-book, and trust me, they do. My person experience? We feel like we are returning a very large house in our favourite part of Turkey and visiting friends. You can't get any better than that. When you book with the Meldi you are dealing with people that know what they are doing and they do it very well. They will contact you generally via email requesting your flight details. Upon arrival at the airport you will find a friendly welcome from a man with your names on a board near the coach park who will take you to the hotel and not unusual presented with a bottle of chilled water. This service is included in the cost of your stay. From experience upon arrival at many hotels late at night you are checked in and expected to just go to bed. Not so at the Meldi. On so many occasions we have been greeted with a handshake, a smile and a request of "Can we get you something to eat"? Fantastic! Breakfast is great but Turkish/continental style. They have someone who sits there and cooks eggs on order and to an absolute turn. Poached, soft boiled? Perfect! The pool area is beautiful with a tranquil feel of peace and quiet with stunning foliage and, no loud music!!! By now you may have guest that it's not a Hotel for disco goers, nor does it profess to be. Evening meals can be ordered and will tell you that the chef really knows how to cook a steak or a lamb shank. Mid day snacks are always available and portions are not small ! Everything is served well and trust me if you have any requests they will do the utmost to please. Boat trips are a must and if you don't go you will miss out on a treat and can be easily organised. Everyone has an uncanny knack of remembering your name, and I don't know how they do it but trust me they do. I bought a pair of shoes from a small shop in the village and about six months later the lady came out and greeted us by name and invited us in for a Turkish tea! Not even a mention of would you like to buy another pair of shoes, just being friendly and we loved it. The Meldi has it all and made it our second home, we, like many others just love it and the staff. I have never stayed in a hotel where upon your taxi arrives to take you back to the airport (again, part of the service) staff and guests, now friends all assemble outside to shake hands big hugg's and a bon voyage and see you soon. Somehow I think I may be cutting my own safety line here by telling everyone how great this hotel is and hoping it doesn't get so busy they run out of room for us!!!
