The reception clerk was pleasant enough until I asked that he not photocopy my passport but instead just copy my name, country and passport number. The Turkish Central Government has recently issued a regulation makinging it unlawful for a hotel to photocopy passports, due to abuse. The hotel clerk became belligerent and said unless we agreed to have our passports... More

We stayed here for one night in July 2015. We arrived around midnight and the reception man ran out to our car to help us in with our bags. Our two rooms were of average size but we found them to be very clean, the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms recently updated. There have been comments about the hot... More

The only good thing about the nur hotel is that it is cheap. Very tired dated room. A/C didn't work very well, shower leaked hot water random. My room was not cleaned all week. I had a room at the front so very noisy and not private. Door to Patio didn't lock or open very easily. I could go on.

Not a great hotel. The rooms were big, but the hot water was non existent, the wifi too weak to work in our room, it's a big steep walk to the beach and the breakfast was boring. No Turkish coffee, only instant. Try somewhere closer to the beach, and with hot water!

We stayed at Nur Hotel in July 2013. My wife wasn't feeling well so we just stopped at the first hotel we came to from the bus station not knowing where other hotels were or local prices. What a mistake. We paid 150 lira for a room only to discover that the aircon didn't work, (it was very hot) and... More

Myself and my partner stayed at the Nur Apartments: http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/turkeyb/TK383.htm as we were going to a wedding in Kalkan. Les was very helpful over email and arranged transfers etc. Fiona & Martyn who own the other apartments greeted us and were also very helpful when there. The apartments themselves are very clean and well looked after. Had everything we needed.... More

Nur Hotel, Kalkan We stayed at Nur Hotel just one night; the last night of our trip, which we spent near Kalkan but has no bus station for getting back conveniently towards Dalaman airport; whereas Nur Hotel is near Kalkan bus station and just a walk down to main Kalkan town etc (had stayed before for same reason). We made... More

In June 2012, we stayed at the privately owned apartments behind the Nur Hotel for the third time, and all that we love about the apartments still holds true - nice and airy, very good value for money, close to the village centre, great restaurants, supermarkets, banks, taxis etc, it is very quiet, and there is a lovely large pool... Reviews for this hotel can be confusing. There is an hotel with an apartment complex behind it, which appears to be more modern and has decent facilities and its own pool. The hotel itself was built about 17 years ago, and shows its age. We were allocated a suite, which comprised 2 rooms with 2 ensuite bathrooms. The bathrooms were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer B&B accommodation and SC Apartment (New) in our small & friendly hotel: fantastic location, good value and a welcoming atmosphere. The Hotel Nur was one of the first hotels in Kalkan and the owner, Baris, has seen many changes in the town during that time. But the one thing that never changes is the warmth of the local people... many of our guests return year after year, and have become personal friends of Baris and the staff. Stay at the Nur and you will probably join them. ... more   less
