Hotel itself is big and quite well maintained, however it’s hard to find for the local bus drivers. We were circling around for an hour or so before we hit the reception. Staff working at the reception doesn’t speak English well so it’s hard to communicate, however most of them show the effort. Food was nice, but prepare for the crowds at the restaurant. If you won’t hit the restaurant at the opening, some dishes are gone. People just don’t know how to behave and take as much as they can leaving the plates full. The restaurant staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were taking care of every request asap. Bar staff was nice, however there was no ice available at all, which was quite annoying if you want to enjoy a cold drink. Alcohol was local, so don’t expect much. Hotel isn’t beachfront located, but it’s 10 minutes walk and they have their own area with the bar available. Beach bar serves snacks, softs and beer, no spirits though. Sunbeds are extra paid, approximately €5 for two with an umbrella, but if you leave you have to pay again. One the most annoying thing was the WiFi not working in the hotel room. Only the common areas.…
I visited this hotel for the third time this year. I absolutely fell in love with it. The hotel room is completely adequate and satisfying. Fridge, air conditioning, perfect view (I recommend paying extra for a room in the main building)... They refill your room with water every day and the maids are very handy and always conjure up some surprise on your bed, for example a swan from a blanket :) The receptionists were always willing to help us with everything. There is a lot of cats around the hotel, which is a nice diversion. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, if you don't feel like walking, just get on the hotel bus that will take you directly to the beach. The all-inclusive meal was always excellent, weiters in the restaurant were always nice and prompt with cleaning. The hotel is usually fully occupied, so the only drawback in the hotel restaurant is the long queues for food, but it is nothing that cannot be survived. Genius animators will provide entertainment from morning to night! Love them. Overall, I rate this hotel as absolutely amazing and I hope I will return next year. My friend and I are so excited about this place that we decided to spend the whole summer in Alanya as animators, so we thank the hotel for the inspiration! Best place where to spend vacation.…
I like Alanya and we have been Blue Star Hotel first time. Staff very helpfull and kind. Food medium. Cleaning medium. Beach nice. Room not good and changed. We will come back. We love here We love Alanya
We arrived in the middle of the night, very tired. Despite the fact that the room should have been ready long ago, we waited in the lobby for more than an hour. No one even offered water. The room was not cleaned, sand on the floor. The beds are hard, very uncomfortable, the air conditioning is old, loud, it is impossible to sleep with it. Not enough sunbeds at the pool, you have to take a seat before breakfast. Dirty pool, cigarettes and broken glasses under the loungers. Food very good, but not enough service, queues for food and drinks. The bar lacked ice, we drank warm disgusting drinks. Even when they had ice they threw in one cube at a time, ridiculous. Evening animation only for half an hour, at 10 pm there was silence, no music. Animators did what they could, very friendly, but unfortunately boring hotel. I do not recommend the hotel, because of them I probably will not return to Alanya again.…
I don't know why this hotel has so many positive reviews. It definietly doesn't deserve it's 4 stars either. Room First when we came I felt horrible musty odour. Overall the room was old and ugly. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. They knew that 2 ppl booked this room, but there was only 1 blanket, after a call to reception they brought another one. The bathroom looked nice at first sight, but there was a big problem with sewers. After taking a shower the whole room and bathroom stinked like cesspool. That nasty smell was so intense it would wake me up at night. And we didn't take the "economy" room, but the one with higher standard. Food All in all the food was good. Quite big variety of meat, vegetables and bread. The dinner was almost the same as supper, except the live cooking by the pool. Sadly I got food poisoning in the middle of our stay. Luckily I was sick just for one day, but then I was afraid to eat anything. Drinks were ok, the bartenders poured everything you wanted. Pools and beach bar There's not enough sunbeds for this amount of ppl. If you won't come before breakfast you won't be able to find any free sunbed. People were leaving their towels on sunbeds for whole day, even when they weren't there. Beach bar was okay, good beer nad other drinks, there was always a free table to find. Staff Staff was okay, but very few ppl speak english. Besides it was really easy to see who was giving them tips and who wasn't. Girl at the blue bar was sending kisses and smiles to some german guy, and when me and my husband tried to order something her face just truned into poker face and she asked "what?!" (as what do we want). The other thing was that in our room, cleaning staff was supposed to leave water in minibar. Like everyday, we even paid more for that room for that. We were there 12 days and we got 5 bottles of water and we had to ask for it. Same was with toilet paper. Once we called reception if they could bring us water and toilet paper...and nobody came. We had to take toilet paper and water from staff's cart. Cleaning was also not very detailed. Overall I don't recomend this hotel and I won't go there anymore myself.…
I was a little apprehensive booking this hotel after reading the bad reviews. Well, they were right. This hotel is dirty. First of all I would like to say that our welcome was lovely. Slightly annoyed that we had to buy a drink as we got there just as all inclusive was closing. ( come on, offer your guests a cold drink). Lobby is lovely, first impressions were good. Room allocated to a bottom floor looking at a wall right opposite reception. ( old room) not as on pricture from tour operator website. Beds are hard, you can hear everything through walls and outside. Cleaner was ok. Can't complain there. Meal times were so busy, very boring food, with lots of queuing all the time. Entertainment were brilliant. They really did try hard to get everyone involved . Even us English . Shows were only half an hour. I did pull the entertainment guy up and told him people from the UK were in the hotel. Not just polish. Now let's describe the pool area. I've never ever seen a more disgusting, dirty pool area ever. Cat poo, glass, Ash trays that have been there for weeks. The whole duration we were there we never seen anyone clean under the beds or move them at all!. I've travelled a lot and was shocked at how the pool sunbed routeen was. Why not stack them up at night and clean the area, preventing people from sitting on them at night with glasses. ? I Spent 2 hours cleaning up glass around the pool, in the pool and by the sunbeds. Called a manger who then took a cup of glass and said someone was coming. No one came so a few of us made sure no children/adults got hurt. Second to last day there was an about of cat poo on the floor right by the steps, a woman put a tissue on it. I asked the bar staff for them to allocate the cleaner. No one came . I then asked a manager, who typed something in his phone and said someone was coming . 2 hours later, no one came, but the 3 managers were plating table tennis!!!. So I told the old life guard . He wasn't impressed, not his job to be honest, but he brushed it up in his pan n brush set. No washing of the floor. Yuk. The hand rail to the pool is broken 2 sides. I nearly went flying . So be careful. II was also amazed that even though we drank from 10am we never got drunk? But we seen other nationalities drunk and running around shouting at 4am most nights . How strange? Bar staff were lovely, could not fault then at all. I think the icing on the cake was when we were leaving and asked to weigh our cases . They wanted 2 euro . Wow!!. Would I come back to this hotel? No. It has so much potential . I am no snob or have to high expectations . The pool area let the place down. The fact everything was geared to the polish let it down. The noise at night let it down. Most of all the managers response to problems. My job is in tourism and unfortunately this hotel will not be recommended to any of my clients ect. This hotel Is not for English guests . …
It is wonderful place. Everyone are very nice. Foods are delicious. All employees are very open-minded. It's worth coming for the atmosphere itself. The activity is so fun and night show is very nice. Music is beautiful.
This is my second time here and it’s the same energy as it was before. Animators still doing amazing job here. Probably someday I will be back. I recommend this for everyone. For family’s, group of friends and a lot of people.
It was great time spent in Blue Star, two pools, one for party and second for relax is clever idea. Food is delicious and colorful, everyone can find something for themself, greetings for Mr. Musa :). Rooms are not exactly what is shown on the photos but they are cleaned everyday and comfortable.
unfortunately the hotel did not leave any fond memories.Despite the better room we bought we got a family room, where we had 4 separate beds. When we went to reception we heard they didn't have another room for us,the hotel staff was not concerned with the fact that we bought a better standard of the room. The manager with a silly smile on his face informed us that he could give us a room overlooking the parking lot and one bed, if we don't like the current room. After a few days of intervention, the hotel changed our room, Attention! to the same standard only less. the room was all wet, the armchair dirty and wet, the tap in the bathroom was placed so that when we thought our hands all the water was behind the washbasin, the beds were single again. We were supposed to have a view of the mountains, the sea, the city, and we had a hotel reception. the hotel did not feel to compensate us for the inconvenience. Our vacation was 7 days, 4 of which we spent asking to get our room which as a result we did not get anyway. We were disposed of every day. The hotel is definitely not 4 stars.…
