Hotel for European pensioners, representatives of "Tagil" do nothing. I rested there in October 2010. Animation weak. Alcohol quality, but all the local beer "Carlsberg". The contingent of Germans, Poles, Dutch, but not more than 30% of the inhabitants of the CIS. In the evenings, live music, and sing through the night in a live worldwide hits. Beach front line, next 500 meters flows into the river, which is in line with the open gate in the morning, from this sea is getting colder by 5-7 degrees and cloudy. Rest for unpretentious tourists, not worth 5 stars, it is on a solid 4. On the first floor close to the pool I recommend not to settle, in the morning and wake charging near poison exhaust pipes of the kitchen, which is located opposite the door to the street. The hotel is convenient, 3 km from the street of discos in Alanya.

Indoors of the Hotel is hot as Oven, it does not matter how many times you tell them about the air conditioner they never fix it. General feeling is: You are not a homeless, you are in a hotel !!!! The Georgian and Persian ladies in the front desk are helpful and polit. No, I will never go back.

Positives: - Hotel staff - chairs and towels included - very good food and constantly replenished throughout the dispensing - spacious beach with a large pier - proximity of Alanya Negatives: - ugly room with noisy air conditioning - bad beer - it was disgusting (supposedly Carlsberg) - too many Russians - 95%, who wasted food and were very noisy - Russians will throw away your things from chairs and no problems this place has Summary: Nice hotel, but not more than 3 ***

We spent a great holiday in thih hotel in september 2012.Service, food, cleanliness, rooms, beach everithing was great. . The hotel is close to the Alanya Citiy, you have a bus every 10 minutes in front of the hotel. The staff was nice, except the reception did not understand english very well. 90 % of the guests are Russian and all the animations are in russian. So i f you are ready to cope with all these things, go there and enjoy ! All Recommendations for this hotel

We spent a great family holiday in this hotel in august 2012. As it was our 4th time in Turkey, we knew what to expect. The quality of the services was really expected and did not provide anything overwhelming for a 5 star hotel. You have to prepare for a long transfer from the airport - 2 - 3 hours depending on how many other hotels your bus goes to. The hotel overall is ok , the services provided are the same as in another 4 or 5 star hotel in Turkey. The rooms were very different quality but we paid extra and get a nice big room on the groundfloor. The food was ok, we always could find something to eat :-) during the whole day small snacks were served. The beach is absolutely not sandy ! but this we also expected. There is a nice "jetty" built from the beach so it makes the sea really accessible - better than walk on the stones.... There is a small swimming pool for the smallest kids directly on the beach - very good with salty water and also a small house - playground which provides some shadow where you can hide with the kids from the sun. The staff was nice, except the reception did not understand english very well. 90 % of the guests are Russian and all the animations are in russian. So i f you are ready to cope with all these things, go there and enjoy !

On arrival we were shown to our room which we found acceptable although uncomfortable due to the heat. It became clear by the second night that our rooms air conditioning was not working. I called the reception from the room phone and was was told during a visit from staff that we were to leave the windows open and someone from air control would come to fix it shortly. After a couple of hours waiting I called again and another visit from someone else from reception informed me that the hotel was on a central system and that there was nothing wrong, although I pointed out that the air condition control knob was just free-wheeling and not controlling anything at all. I was ignored and heard nothing more about it even though I continued to complain about it. I even questioned if it was on the same system everywhere why was it cooler everywhere else other than our room. The hotel offered various entertainment programs of which were cancelled and did not exist. On the first day at the hotel everyone found themselves shut in the hotel due to a storm but the hotel offered nothing to entertain the guests and there appeared to be a lot of people looking rather glum and disappointed with nothing to do. To us this appeared to be the start of the down hill slide of the rest of the week. We found that the hotel appeared to be running out of food and not replacing anything and we complained about this also we were told that the hotel was closing for the season and a lot of staff had been sent home. We attended the disco on one night only to find that the next night it also was to close for the season. All the boards outside had had the entertainment notices removed from them and over the course of the week the animation and hotel continued to close down as if no one was present. I feel very strongly against the fact that we have paid up front for a service and it has far from been provided. The food from about day two or three started to diminish rapidly and stupid ideas started to appear as replacements . Can you imagine how we felt one morning when we had a choice of rice pudding or Madeira cake as one of the few options presented to us. Near the end of our stay we were even presented with half pieces of meat just to spread the food further. We did see one nights entertainment of a singer performing at the pool bar but it was the only one we seen. There was supposed to be a theatre for live shows of which were non existent . This also goes for the mini club and childrens entertainment. The main reason we booked this hotel was for all promises of entertainment but it just did not exist. On the food front we also were appalled at the choice after day one and for the rest of the week. So much so that we would look what was to offer and if it was ridiculous we would all go and eat in Alanya which costed us a small fortune as an extra expense due to prices for five of us and also the transport to and fro. I can only comment that as far as we were concerned these people ruined what could have been an excellent holiday in a perfect resort. I feel they only provided us with somewhere to stay although it was uncomfortable because they would not repair the aircon in our room. I can also provide photos if necessary of staff putting tables into storage in their theatre if required and also show staff dismantling furniture.

Me and my boyfriend stayed her for a week 6-13th June on a last minute holiday in the sun. Was worried as no recent reviews but thought go for it anyway for the price. First off the transfer from the aiport is approx 2.5-3 hours depending on driver and how many drop offs you have. We got there at 7.20am after a delayed flight etc and started to think 'Hope the hotel is nice' etc and was a nice surprise when we got there. The lobby is lovely and clean. We were checked in with no problems and was quick, our bags were taken by a staff member and took us to the room. Once in the room he went through everything with us with regards to Mini Bar and how the aircon works etc. We went for a sleep for an hour and headed to the pool. No problem getting a sunbed which is always great. There is two pools but we stayed at the one next to the Bar/Restaurant and was very clean. Food was of good quality and fresh - always found something to eat for each meal with no problems. Entertainment is different every night - we werent fussed at all with that as just wanted to chill for the week. Overall would recommend this hotel - great value for money, clean and relaxing.

I booked to sunset beach in alanya turkey for one week with my 8 year old son, when we drove upto to sunset beach i thought oh my god from outside it looked awful but once inside i was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was immaculate, staff always cleaning, staff lovely but english was minimal, rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels, view of the pool, food was edible but same pasta, rice & salad but there was burger and chips as snacks. Majority of guests staying was russian or german and the staff english was minimal but i managed and we had a lovely lazy week soaking up the sun. Plenty of sunbeds no matter what time you went there was always a sunbed somewhere. For a cheap holiday it was perfect but the transfer time from airport is at least 4 hours.

I've been there in August 2008 and I will not go there any more. Why? Hotel is average, not a 5 star hotel definitely. I will say 4 star hotel and just because of all inclusive possibilities. Compeering with the hotels in Egypt (brand name hotels of course); this one will be 3 stars. Lobby is empty because it is useful. You can not seat there and enjoy, because it is designed totally stupid with a letter seats. They tried to look fine and wealthy with it, but it is hot, it is just empty and too hot. You can imagine air conditioner is not working from midnight to 10 am and you have to eat your breakfast totally wet from your sweat. If you try to eat outside, you can do that early in the morning, because after that, sun is so strong, and there are no shadows in front of the hotel. Not enough to be honest. First night they put us in the smelly room. It smells on mould so strong that I have to be out almost whole night. After that, after we strongly object to our travel agent we get a new room, but air condition in the room was not working. They need almost two days to repair. The beach was fine, but the see was terrible. Waves were big. See was muddy ... too much muddy with some strange things in it. I went there because of the see, not to be in the pool whole of the time. Food was fine, I can say very well. Hotel is clean, but the pool was with too much chlorine. That hotel needs more shadows trees or overhangs strong enough and than this will be pleasant place to stay.

If you're going to Turkey for your holiday, you could do no better than to stay at the Sunset Beach, it's warm, polite and friendly staff will welcome you as one of their family, the food, facilities and the setting are superb. From the moment that we arrived, the hotel excelled itself, we were efficiently checked-in, shown to a lovely clean room and then went for our dinner, every day, the food was hot, fresh and varied, the staff were great, we are even still in contact with some of them. At all of the bars, we were served, promptly and efficiently. The hotel's grounds were excellent, they had three great water slides, the only downside being the damage to our ribs, after we drank too much and went down head-first on our stomachs ! The small zoo was most entertaining and the beach, including the excellent pontoon, made for great swimming / diving. Even when a severe storm, damaged the pontoon, corpus and the restaurant, the staff repaired the damage quickly and with the minimum of disruption. We've been to many hotels all over the world, but the Sunset Beach ranks as about the best ! Would we return ? - Yes - We do so as often as possible. Would we recommend the Sunset Beach ? - Definately, for ANY holiday.
