I have been there for almost a week, it very nice hotel, the staff was very cooperative and nice to me; The management was helpful. If you need a hotel with inclusive service I recommend you to go there.
I have never written a travel review before and I am cautious that people will think that I am moaning for the sake of it as some reviews I think the same but here goes. I was really happy to get away from the UK for two weeks for a break and on arrival at Kaila Beach reception I thought wow this is the place. That's where it ended. Room looks great on first glance until you notice the smell coming from the bathroom and the wallpaper coming off the walls. Being on the sixth floor you're really repaint on lifts but there's only two serving the whole hotel so expect a long wait or a massive trek up the stairs. Commission guys are based in the hotel, 5 of them. They love the English therefore we are hassled day in day out. It doesn't matter to them that they wake me up on the pool sunbed as long as they get a sale. We are 11 days in and they have only just left us alone. This hotel is supposed to be an all inclusive but take this with a pinch of salt as snacks are restricted so if you have kids like me they will be disappointed. You can only have cakes at 4pm and ice cream at 5.30pm. You can have hamburgers and chips 12-4 but only if you go to the beach so if you want a pool day you will have to pay extra for hamburgers and chips or wait until lunch to go to the restaurant where swimwear is not allowed therefore you have to interrupt a day of fun at the pool with the kids to eat. Drinks. Alcohol is free at the pool bar but chargeable at the beach. This is definitely not all inclusive. I dont expect free snacks 24 hours a day but to restrict to this level is a joke. The food. If you dont mind eating the same thing day in day out then this will be fine for you. And no I'm not exaggerating the food really does not change. There is a really good pizza/cafe bar round the corner which is very reasonable price wise and the food is amazing. Its called Enberi and we have spent a lot of money in there on top of what we paid for the holiday as the food is that bad in the hotel. Breakfast. They have two drinks stations but only ever open one so expect to queue for a good 10 minutes to get your morning coffee. Again breakfast is exactly the same day in day out. Staff. Most reception staff are rude. Kaia speaks good English and is helpful, the rest of reception staff don't bother you won't get anywhere with them they don't care. Akhmed who looks after the kids pool is amazing, very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him, he will go out of his way to make you happy. Pascal is also another good member of staff,he is also extremely helpful and his English is very good. There are also two young members of staff at the main pool bar who are really good and offer good service like akhmed and pascal. Unsure if their names, one is called Beret I think! The older members of staff in the hotel who are rude could learn a lot from the younger and more helpful staff members. All in all, Akhmed has made our time bearable but we won't be returning even if we were paid to.…
We've had a lovely time at Kaila beech hotel in Alanya. The food is lovely, rooms are very modern and clean. The staff are excellent. We had an all inclusive package and have really enjoyed staying at the Hotel and Alanya. We felt safe and the covid measures are great here. Everyone is temperature checked at all meals before entering the restaurants. Special thanks to Nurallah and Pascal for looking after us and making our stay very memorable.☺😎
I am half way through my 12 day vacation at this 5 star hotel and my experience so far is far from the expectations. I was presented a completely remodeled hotel, with amazing food and staff that goes above and beyond for their guests. In reality, I’m staying in a room that has nothing to do with the pictures that they’ve posted online and served by the rudest staff ever (exceptions apply). It all started from day one at our check in. Apparently here 1% of the staff speaks English so it took 3 people to finally get our room. The guy at the front desk was even surprised how we didn’t speak Turkish or Russian. I mean, I didn’t know that I had to learn the language before I visited the country .. The food.. I get that during a global pandemic food safety is a must so it actually makes sense to have staff members serving it from the buffet. But!! It makes no sense to ask for a tomato and get a cucumber (one of the many examples), asking what something is and just get a vague look back. Once they had chicken nuggets labeled as potato croquettes (I’m a vegetarian). Most important, all of this would not have been so bad if it wasn’t for the staff. And this goes for the pool attendants - It’s common practice not to be served a drink when you ask for one. Today, me and my friend were the laugh of the day to the old people next to us because the server served all the people on the pool but refused to serve us. We didn’t even get a why.. Just a mumble.. Thank god the service at the beach and the attendants are the restaurant were much nicer. Bottom line is if you are expecting a five star service (as promoted) you are not going to get it. But you will get your money’s worth. Food quality might not be the greatest, but at least there is a lot. Simply don’t expect much. …
I need to firstly apologise for the long review but after reading so many bad reviews I wanted to add our side to the story. I was so worried about coming to the hotel after seeing all these negative comments that I nearly cancelled it but I really shouldn't have worried. So here it goes: On arrival our temperature was taken and our bags were sprayed with what I assume to be an antibacterial steam. I must say extremely good first impressions, the reception staff were very attentive and friendly making sure we filled in the forms correctly and we were happy. We initially had trouble connecting to the WiFi but with help from reception all was sorted! I did find I had to sign in a few times to their network but once signed in again there were no issues (possibly a time out clause). We were shown to our rooms and our bags taken for us, I hope I have his name right, by Berk, who was chatty and lovely. He showed us how the air con worked, our rooms (we had 2 adjoining) and the balcony. I see some comments mention there was a deposit for the air con remote but we didn't experience this, it was free of charge! Berk explained there weren't alcoholic drinks provided in the fridge (not sure if this is due to covid though) but they were so cheap in the next door supermarkets that we stored those in the fridge which the hotel didn't seem to mind. Also before heading out we'd get a couple of inclusive beers from the pool bar and this was lovely. With regards to the drinks please note the drinks are not watered down!!! The efes is as it should be, as are the local spirits - all really good. There were hot drinks too, we used to do a cheeky hot chocolate with a shot of baileys, it was delicious! We also came home late one night about 1am and they made us fresh hot chocolate (in recyclable cups which we could take to the room). So more about the room - I feel for the people who are complaining about the air con - ours was so good that I froze the first night and we had to turn it off. During the day though it was a godsend. Especially when returning from the beach. The rooms (2 linked) were a good size and plenty of cupboard/drawer space for 3. Bathroom was a good size too and good pressure for the shower (and good temperatures). As mentioned we had a big fridge with bottled water - which could be replenished with more water on request (and was done automatically on a daily basis as well when the rooms were cleaned). Our rooms were cleaned every day, by 2 lovely friendly ladies and they patiently waited for us to leave the room once when we were running late. They used to come about 11am so perfect timing usually (we'd just had a bit of a heavy night!). Whenever we saw them during the day, they'd always say hello and have a smile for us. We had new towels and new sheets every couple of days and this was plenty. You could get towels from the spa but we brought our own so didn't need to. Around the pool, you could get cakes every day from 4pm till 5.30pm and then there was ice-cream a little later by the second pool. Alcoholic drinks were served at the pool bar and never seemed to be too much of a queue. Sun beds did tend to fill up quite quickly round the pool so be aware, there are tables by the pool bar but obviously aren't for sunbathing. We used to go to the beach and never had a problem getting 3 beds together or an umbrella (end of August). Do mind there are no cushions on the sunbeds so some might find them a little hard but we were OK. I have read that people are complaining that the alcoholic drinks are charged for at the beach, this is correct but what you should also note though, is that soft drinks are free of charge and there is also a food bit where you can get burgers in buns and delicious chips (and salad!). Sorry to save the worst till last but I must agree with some of the restaurant comments. However I honestly think the lack of variety is because the hotel have tried to make the best of a bad situation (covid). They have set up several stations providing the same food to keep the queues down as much as possible, and they serve it to you, but as you can see from other photos, it wasn't always possible to socially distance. I had to remind a few people to step back! Which is unfortunately hard in the space there was but you can't blame the staff/hotel for this. The tables outside got filled very quickly so if you want one, you have to be early. The food I did have was very good, chips and kebab being my fave and the chocolate buns for breakfast!! I saw people which fat cheese and ham toasty sandwiches for breakfast but unfortunately I never got to try one. I would say if you expect fine dining, like your space in a restaurant, or you go for the variety of food, I hate to say it but this restaurant isn't for you (it was so cheap we ate out most evenings but we had our favourites we wanted to visit). On a plus though, everyone's temperature was taken when you came into the restaurant and all the staff were wearing masks (including at the pool bar and beach). As a conclusion, I would say the staff made this holiday for me, they were all friendly, chatty and working their absolute socks off, a huge thank you to them and they should be proud of what they are doing. So I hope I have done some reassuring for those visiting soon, I can see some more good reviews are popping up so I'm am glad the are filtering through now.…
