Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Initially I had expected a pretty poor hotel experience as I had only paid under 500GBP for a week AI but I was very pleasantly surprised.
I arrived at 03am in the morning and was greeted by a lovely gentleman who spoke perfect English who, before asking the bellboy to take my suitcase to the room, also offered me food which was a very nice touch.
The room was spacious with plenty of cupboard space in both the room and the bathroom and there was 2 big mirrors - 1 which was full length. The room came with nice fully pillows, a perfectly selected summer duvet and the balcony gave me a seaview. The room has a very odd blue light but you quickly got used to it. Unsure what the purpose is of this blue light? There is a free minibar with waters and a couple of beers and the shower pressure is better than ive ever had before even in 5 stars hotels. Another nice feature is that you can lock the door with added hinge - nice level of security. I really cannot complain at all about the rooms although its a shame that the security box is 12 euros per stay.
The breakfast is great for a smaller size hotel. Plenty of cheeses, cold cuts, cereal, bread rolls and toast, friend eggs, boiled eggs, omelettes, sausages, pancakes and fruit. Lunch was great for me too. A large variety of salads, meats, french fries and many hot dishes. Honestly you will not go hungry. I didnt have dinner here as we went out to eat every night.
The pool is small and very cold - im sure its warmer in high season however i would be worried about space when the hotel is full. When i was there it was pretty empty and there aren't that many spaces to sit or lie outside so i can imagine it gets packed pretty quickly. Works brilliantly in April though.
The bar is small but perfectly adequate and most known spirits are on offer. Again, staff speaks brilliantly English so this was never an issue for me.
With the hotel comes free access to beach number 8 where you can also use wifi. Drinks etc however are not free here.
The spa: charges 30 Euro for what other hotels charges 10 for. Would not come here again.
Overall, very happily surprised by the value for money here and the staff who works there. Would definitely return.

A hotel that deserves even more stars. I wanted to share our side of my current active business as a tourist and a supervisor at my wife’s catering company. First of all, I would like to make our first thank you from Istanbul when I called for booking the notification we met Mr. Efe, the kindness of hospitality and the kindness of welcoming us at the hotel was always a smile and of course, thanks to his hard work, I believe you will see many successful checks. Each department has an individual staff member and a friendly team. We entered our room clean every afternoon. My white bed linen and towels. Our floor is always clean. The entrance lobby part is the same as the sea entrance, but there’s a hotel smell of sparkling sparkling and moss that’s never been dirty with sand. Kitchen crew wonderful every dish will be nice soups both delicious and every day different kind of main dishes suitable for each palate a variety of desserts between heat and colds menu options are beautiful. Evidently, a tasty professional team set up. My wife thinks I’d walk if I bought this cast in Istanbul. Health to the chef and his team. There were always people in the lounge at the restaurant and I always said hello to each of them from the crew. The service restaurant crew are mostly young cast girls boys are always friendly courteously trained speakers. Our clean tables and our dirty platter stand 2 mins away, clean up immediately and open new shops. Despite the crowds, they don’t give up on their smile. A service department that serves every meal clean and with a sufficient team. The front desk attendants are always welcomed with warm attention so you are welcome to the entrance, the entrance valet is always friendly and always helpful when asking for ideas for the location. The location has a stunning stretch of sand with loungers 2-3 min wide to the sea. It’s walkable right in the middle of town. Congratulations and thanks to the hotel’s business.Management has created a superb cast. I also think the daily stay budget is quite reasonable for that standard. I hope the management of the property is consistent and this cast remains professional. Of course, the budget remains the standard. We’re at this hotel for 3 more days and I’m already making recommendations to my family and friends. Highly recommended to anyone who thinks. I actually wanted to write the review as a thank you to the hotel property management and team. Despite the very precious Efe sir’s density, I would like to thank you again and say that I can bring our family to my room after a day and have this beautiful experience. Grand Zaman Beach Hotel 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Cannot be faulted! Wonderful hotel, accommodation, staff, food and facilities! Sunbeds on the beach, endless supply of chilled water- a brilliant base to explore Alanya, staff work so hard, the hotel and grounds are immaculate, plentiful choice of food

The hotel is good but the F&B department is so terrible. The servise stuff are so spoilt rude that they can even make fun of guests while they are eating. There is no authority to tell them to be respectfull to the hotel guests. The f& b stuff turn their backs and laught at guests. It was the worst experience ive ever had...

The hotel is almost perfect, accommodation is excellent, restaurants and food are perfect, the staff is amiable and helpful, the location is perfect, 700m from the city center, the Internet connection is thought something that needs patience and work. This hotel makes the other 4* look like a camper, in other words, one of the best 4* hotels in Alanya. Well, almost perfect.
The hotel beach (beach 8) is something staff and management should and cannot be proud of. All of the front row sun beds are constantly "reserved" by either the same people or ghosts who place their towels on exactly the same sun beds and never show up during the day. Suddenly, even though the sun beds are free, the "beach guy" removes the towels for some paying guests who are not even guests at the hotel. The issue has been raised with the reception staff a few times, but absolutely nothing has been done to resolve the aforementioned issue. This is the only reason why I give it 1 star.

We just got home from a good and delicious week in Alanya. We stayed at Grand Zaman Beach and there was really nothing to put a finger on... and yet maybe just their WiFi - it was like not existing and we both had to use our data subscription throughout the trip. The food was nice, friendly staff - drinks were however to the spicy side, but we did not expect otherwise as it is quite normal in all inclusive hotels in Turkey.

Great location and helpful staff. However, the hot food was never hot, and the selection was poor. Salads and desserts were good, but something needs to be done about the the lukewarm/ cold food, it became a challenge every night to see if we could find anything vaguely hot. Lovely pool with loads of loungers. Clean room but with a perilous balcony overlooking the ocean. Bar/ reception was a bit soulless and the everchanging coloured lighting a bit more suited to a 90s nightclub than a hotel reception or restaurant.

On the plus side: Great location, good and varied food every single day. The surroundings were clean, neat and well-maintained (according to Turkish standard), lovely beach with comfortable loungers, friendly and welcoming staff. On the minus side: the beds were a bit hard, the drink selection was a bit boring - but we were fortunately able to order according to our own recipe, ice cream served only 2 hours a day, there was no noise from the air conditioning of the neighboring hotel in our room and no all-inclusive on the beach.
But overall we had a really good vacation in beautiful frameworks.

Reception staff is angry, the bathroom smelled bad and there is no emtertainmemt even in the evenings. The foods is ok but not much variation. Compared to european standard it would never achieve 4stars, but 3. The location is very good though, walking to everything. Not much Scandinavians, but much arabian, russian and turkish tourists
