We have just got back from our stay at the oba time hotel, we did not have high expectations before we arrived in Turkey, having been before to bodrom and swore never again but the price to visit Turkey right now is so low we couldn't resist,

Ok first the positives, oba time is smart little hotel on a street a few roads back from the beach, they are a few reasonably priced bars and restaurants around it, the hotel is clean and beds very very comfortable with huge pillows and luxurious bedding, the rooms are small and you really want pool facing as the ones I'm the middle are facing the hotels next door so get zero sun on the balconies, the road facing rooms are the same size as pool facing but the road, school and market setting up can be noisy,

The hotel is immaculately clean, the restaurant, bar and pool area are clean and comfortable, Sezgin hosts the bar and has plans for restaurant, he's a nice personable guy, most of the bar staff are great, the young lads like the girls and tend to ignore the rest of us if there's pretty girls needing serving buy I suppose that's being young for you!

The negatives
The food isn't great, its ok you can find somthing to eat but it's not the best, we made excuses like the low price and the time of year but its just not ok, most days it was fried fish ( fish heads 2 days) and a chicken stew, with lunch being the same with chicken legs some times, breakfast wasn't worth getting up for its just eggs really, they do offer various salad options and that was ok but we ( and most other guests it seemed) didn't want just salad every night, we were told the menu was geared towards the Scandinavian and Russian guests which leads me to another point, apart from Sezjin and the hotel manager no one speaks English, and it is true the Russians and Scandinavians do seem to get preferential treatment, the nicer rooms and menu, I put this partly down to the language as the staff all speak Russian and some German etc, but partly because I just don't think Britain's are a priority. That may be controversial and I'm not sure why but that's the vibe.

All in all for price, location, experience I'd say boom this you won't regret it, but manage your expectations and take enough money to eat out

I stayed here for 35 nights, April/May 2022. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach. A bus to the centre of Alanya/Red Tower/harbour takes about 15 minutes and costs 50 pence (9 Lira). A taxi costs 50 Lira (about £2.50).
The quality of service is excellent. All staff are more than willing to help you. The focus on customer service clearly comes from the hotel manager who keeps a low profile but watches what is happening at his hotel. As an example, I needed a smal blob of glue for an ornament. The manager heard my request, led me to his office, laid out some paper on a desk for me to work on and handed me a tube of glue. He was genuinely interested in my visit to turkey asking appropriate questions in good English. I was impressed with his management style, how he managed his staff and seemed to very much have his finger on the pulse on the day to day business.
The food is acceptable and similar to other all inclusive hotels that I have stayed at. In fact last year I stayed at a 5* all inclusive in Alanya (Diamond Hill Resort). I consider my stay at Oba Time to be much better; The hotel is smaller and there is a sense of family between the staff and guests. The pool area is ideal, although the sun beds are uncomfortable - I went out and bought a sunlounger cushion from B & Q (Koctas) which is a 5 minute walk away - google B&Q alanya to get directions! A few other guests did the same.
The room was airy, cleaned daily and bed was comfortable. The room has a small fridge, kettle and balcony.
I agree with some of the comments made by Katie H who I met at the hotel. The entertainment man is a thoroughly nice and helpful chap, but he occasionally plays inappropriate music. For example, after lunch people are reclining in the sun by the pool. The music changes every day from a recording of Radio Soft to loud pop music with him using the microphone trying to get people to dance. My advice is play chilling, soft background music at a volume level where people can chat and relax during the day and save any party music until after dark!
After 35 nights if all I can find requiring change is the music aftre lunch and sun beds, that is a demonstration of the quality of my stay and experience.
There is no question that I would (WILL) stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend going there.

Me and my wife are currently staying here.
The staff are very friendly and always happy to answer your questions.
The food is OK you can always find something to eat.
I'd say give the local dishes a try you might be surprised. You do see the fussy eaters just eating chips but they're missing out.
The drinks are perfectly acceptable and they'll keep topping you up.
I haven't been to Turkey for 15 years or so and a few things have changed. You don't get pestered into buying things anymore and walking around is a more pleasant experience for it.
I would definitely come back here lovely clean comfortable rooms with very good staff.
The manager hear is well on point he dines in the restaurant and he is constantly looking out for things that fall under the high standards he sets.

Booked this hotel through on the Beach and the reviews looked great so we booked it. Its a 2.5 hour ride from Atalia airport which is tiring after a 4 hour flight from the UK .. so bear this in mind. We arrived at 6.30am, the night receptionist was very polite and spoke resonable English he changed our room to a twin without much fuss.
First impressions the Hotel and rooms are very nice and clean, the staff on the whole are pleasant and curtious but most speak lttle English, the pool and bar facilities are generally good if a little small . The beach is just an 8 minute walk and supplies free sunbeds on beach 35, the hotel provides free towels for a 5 pound deposit. There is masive market outside on Monday so you can get your souvenirs early, The deserts, tea , coffee and soft drinks are very good. Generally the Hotel itself is realy good. BUT ..
The Bad Points: The Hotel caters 95% for Russians and Germans who are rude and curt at the best of times and make the stay horrid, they hog the lift and barge around like they own the place. The food is awfull it caters for Russian and German taste only .. chips for breakfast ? very limited choice of hot dishes no cold meat or cheese so if your a fussy eater avoid or youll eat out, we ate mainly salad, bread and cake . The bar is OK the orange juice tastes like over diluted squash, Gin Vodka or Raki are the only spirits and local larger, bar closes at 11.00 which is ridiculous for a Hotel. To sum up would I come to Alanya again Yes .. I probably would. Would I stop at this hotel again no I would not . It is not set up for the English clientele.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of September, the staff were lovely, the bed was very comfy, its cosey and the pool area is nice and always clean, DJ smiley especially is very friendly and gets to know the guests personally.
Unfortunately that is the positives for us. We knew that we had booked a cheap week away for some sun and realise that somethings wouldn't be to our taste, however many basic things need looking at, at oba time.
The bathroom smelt of sewage all the time, we were going to ask to move rooms but many other guests said the same. The fridge in the room actually gives off warm air and isn't cold at all. The air con is inadequate , it cools the room at night but during the day at 30'c, there is no point having it on, meaning the room is unbearably hot. The food as noted in other comments is not great, always the same, never warm. Anyone with allergies/dietary requirements i would avoid this hotel, nothing is labelled in the restaurant at all and if it is, its wrong. Not necessarily down to the hotel as we ate on a trip which we booked at the hotel but we actually ended up very sick for the last few days of our holiday and we are still sick now, unable to return to work yet :(

Very disappointed with Oba Time hotel. We came away for a relaxing week , however we weren't aware that there is a building site right next door, which our balcony overlooked so we couldn't use it, plus the noise of saws and grinders while we were relaxing. Only 16 sunbeds are available at the hotel pool, to cater for a 90 room hotel. If you walk to the beach there are no all inclusive food and drink facilities. We would recommend taking beach shoes to access the sea to get across all the stones. There is a distinct lack of hotel entertainment as claimed on the website, and no daytime animation as claimed, only low key music by the pool, and a low budget 'show' in the evening. Food is often left to go cold and is uninspired, salads are repeated every lunchtime and evening. We saw management eating takeaway pizzas for dinner while we were picking through recycled food from lunchtime. A shortage of cutlery and glasses available. The bathrooms smell really bad all the time. We witnessed lots of glasses being smashed poolside, and resulted in one holiday maker cutting his foot open. On a positive note, the maid service in the rooms was really good and thorough, and the staff around the bar were very friendly, along with the DJ. We didn't go away with many expectations, but we still came away feeling let down by the hotel.

We have just returned from a week here as a family of four. It was a lovely stay and gives good value for money. The service here is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful. Special mentions go to DJ Smiley who provides the entertainment, Ahmed and Renata who provide the best spa experiences and to Sibel who cleaned our room during the week. They are wonderful people.
The hotel is clean. Our room was quite small for the four of us but it had everything we needed for the week. The pool area is great and our children had the best time.
The only downside was the food. We did struggle with it at times especially with our youngest child but she is fussy with everything.
Thank you to everyone and we hope to return again.

As for the rooms and cleaning, there is nothing to complain about, the hotel is clean, pleasant and tidy. Unfortunately, there is NO GOOD FOOD at the hotel. Some foods smell rotten: meat but also vegetables. They leave the food on the counter until they eat it, they give it back calmly and cold the next day. After their food, I have indigestion the whole vacation. We have purchased All inclusive, but eating food on this is a health gamble. If you are choosing a hotel for your vacation, I really DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. We went through the reviews of the hotel before we bought the tour and they have an excellent rating, unfortunately, not for me.

We as a family of 6 have just spent 2 weeks at this hotel. We have made the best memories and all had a really good time.
The hotel is in a really good location in Oba which is a bustling town with lots going on.
All the staff work so hard and are extremely helpful and friendly.
Our rooms were cleaned everyday and nothing was too much trouble.
What can I say about the entertainment, Smilie you are absolutely fantastic and go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time and a laugh .
All the staff help you as much as they can, the hotel is very clean and well kept.
One of our rooms over looked the pool, a small room but we didn’t need anything bigger. The view was perfect.
The food is very traditional and probably would not suit all tastes . My youngest son did struggle with meal times but with so many cafes and restaurants near by we managed.
There is a bizarre on every Monday and this is set up right outside the hotel and goes right the way up the road . It is also covered which makes it much cooler.
The pool area never really gets too over crowded and sometimes we had the pool to ourselves.
In the evening it was still very hot and the atmosphere was always really good. I do think that maybe some fans were needed outside whilst watching the entertainment as it did get very hard to stay out for long periods of time.
Overall we loved our holiday . Thank you Oba Time staff for making our experience a happy one.

Where to start? The staff are attentive and friendly, go out of their way to make your holiday perfect. Bar staff are funny and helpful, no waiting around for refills. Cleaning staff are amazing, The hotel is immaculate, fresh towels and bed linen. Smiley the DJ is next level, speaks 5 languages gets everyone involved. 5 mins to the beach, where the sun loungers are always available as well as loungers on the pier. If you want authentic style meze food, you will get it here, in spades huge selection scratch prepared, you won’t find burgers etc if that’s what you are looking for. It was predominately non English speaking guest while we were there, but everyone was relaxed and happy to try and talk to each other
