Ruined vacation

As for the rooms and cleaning, there is nothing to complain about, the hotel is clean, pleasant and tidy. Unfortunately, there is NO GOOD FOOD at the hotel. Some foods smell rotten: meat but also vegetables. They leave the food on the counter until they eat it, they give it back calmly and cold the next day. After their food, I have indigestion the whole vacation. We have purchased All inclusive, but eating food on this is a health gamble. If you are choosing a hotel for your vacation, I really DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. We went through the reviews of the hotel before we bought the tour and they have an excellent rating, unfortunately, not for me.

Hotel's Favorite

Outstanding!

I stayed here for 35 nights, April/May 2022. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach. A bus to the centre of Alanya/Red Tower/harbour takes about 15 minutes and costs 50 pence (9 Lira). A taxi costs 50 Lira (about £2.50). The quality of service is excellent. All staff are more than willing to help you. The focus on customer service clearly comes from the hotel manager who keeps a low profile but watches what is happening at his hotel. As an example, I needed a smal blob of glue for an ornament. The manager heard my request, led me to his office, laid out some paper on a desk for me to work on and handed me a tube of glue. He was genuinely interested in my visit to turkey asking appropriate questions in good English. I was impressed with his management style, how he managed his staff and seemed to very much have his finger on the pulse on the day to day business. The food is acceptable and similar to other all inclusive hotels that I have stayed at. In fact last year I stayed at a 5* all inclusive in Alanya (Diamond Hill Resort). I consider my stay at Oba Time to be much better; The hotel is smaller and there is a sense of family between the staff and guests. The pool area is ideal, although the sun beds are uncomfortable - I went out and bought a sunlounger cushion from B & Q (Koctas) which is a 5 minute walk away - google B&Q alanya to get directions! A few other guests did the same. The room was airy, cleaned daily and bed was comfortable.The room has a small fridge, kettle and balcony. I agree with some of the comments made by Katie H who I met at the hotel. The entertainment man is a thoroughly nice and helpful chap, but he occasionally plays inappropriate music. For example, after lunch people are reclining in the sun by the pool. The music changes every day from a recording of Radio Soft to loud pop music with him using the microphone trying to get people to dance. My advice is play chilling, soft background music at a volume level where people can chat and relax during the day and save any party music until after dark! After 35 nights if all I can find requiring change is the music aftre lunch and sun beds, that is a demonstration of the quality of my stay and experience. There is no question that I would (WILL) stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend going there.…

Not up to scratch

This hotel was very nice and so was the people especially our cleaning who was the only one that could communicate a little English she always went out off her way to keep it clean …the beach is. It attached private to the hotel you had to walk arrived 7 mins to reach it however the beach hut team was amazing and so was the food …I have to put it out there the food in the hotel was always cold and the same dishes morning noon and night…there was no snack bars through out the day …myself and my partner had a bad stomach and not only us many other people who was also staying in the hotel …The location off the hotel was good and are in reach of shuttles , beach shopping and some amazing restaurants which serve great food …the entertainment is not the best however the do smiley was amazing when he did his nights in …as a whole staff lovely food disgusting and cold we won’t be visiting there again…

Good price-performance ratio

I bought a stay at this hotel through a travel card for a super last minute price and I was quite satisfied with it. I chose the hotel based on the rating and location in the city. The hotel is of a smaller type. Very nice and pleasant appearance of the reception and entrance hall. Overall, the hotel is decently equipped, rather nice design of the rooms. I do not deal with minor defects and "professional" repairs, that is common in these countries and price category. The cleanliness of the room on arrival was fine, the daily cleaning took place rather quickly. Comfortable high bed mattress. The room had a well-functioning air conditioner, relatively new, it just needed to be cleaned better. Water in the fridge on arrival. Electronic control at the room door for "do not disturb" and "room cleaning" mode. My room had a good balcony, but unfortunately it was just a few meters opposite another one, so I didn't use it. The hotel staff seemed mostly nice. A nice smaller pool that was part of the hotel. The drink offer at the Allinclusive bar was rather basic, but the beer wasn't bad at all. When looking for a hotel, I also read about the good food in this hotel in the reviews on the website, but I honestly don't understand the reviews of these people. The food was the biggest disappointment for me. A smaller selection due to the size of the hotel is understandable, but the food on some days was downright bad, not tasty, or downright not fresh. Some days the situation was better. I always love hotel breakfasts, but here they were really weak and I didn't enjoy them. The people who praised the food here must have some low standard. I also heard dissatisfaction with the food from other guests, some preferred to go out to eat in restaurants, I myself have been several times. Hotel beach nearby, free sunbeds and umbrellas, no problem, pity the beach bar was not included in the Allinclusive price. The beach is sandy, with small pebbles, sometimes rocky ground in the sea, water shoes suitable. The beach promenade and bus stop are just as far from the hotel as the beach, where you can get to the center by almost every bus for a few crowns. But overall, the hotel in the given price category is very good. There are plenty of attractions and tourist destinations in the area of Alanya. The transfer from the airport in Antalya to the hotel was crazy, it took about 3 hours! Wifi at the hotel is classically very slow, good at most for a messenger, but forget about e.g. backing up photos to the Cloud. Near the hotel car rental with a good rating. There are plenty of quality restaurants and cafes in the center of Alanya. The hotel has some minuses but overall I was quite satisfied and can recommend it if you do not insist on a high level of the Allinclusive program and food in general.…

We won't be back to Oba :(

We stayed at this hotel at the end of September, the staff were lovely, the bed was very comfy, its cosey and the pool area is nice and always clean, DJ smiley especially is very friendly and gets to know the guests personally. Unfortunately that is the positives for us. We knew that we had booked a cheap week away for some sun and realise that somethings wouldn't be to our taste, however many basic things need looking at, at oba time. The bathroom smelt of sewage all the time, we were going to ask to move rooms but many other guests said the same. The fridge in the room actually gives off warm air and isn't cold at all. The air con is inadequate , it cools the room at night but during the day at 30'c, there is no point having it on, meaning the room is unbearably hot. The food as noted in other comments is not great, always the same, never warm. Anyone with allergies/dietary requirements i would avoid this hotel, nothing is labelled in the restaurant at all and if it is, its wrong. Not necessarily down to the hotel as we ate on a trip which we booked at the hotel but we actually ended up very sick for the last few days of our holiday and we are still sick now, unable to return to work yet :( …

Bad food

This hotel has a nice feel to it, it's clean, pleasant, and housekeeping was fine. We stayed at this hotel for 12 days and the rooms were cleaned every day. Unfortunately, there is a big problem with the food. The hotel serves spoiled, old food. Meat that smelled rotten, vegetables rancid. They didn't mind serving people old dry cheeses for breakfast. The spaghetti they gave for lunch was also spoiled, the chefs took it off the counter only when several people started complaining. I had digestive problems the whole vacation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel!!!.

Great stay

Stayed in Oba time hotel for 13 nights,was a really nice and relaxing stay,the staff,cleaners was brilliant and all very friendly,food at hotel was also really good,very healthy,fresh always.Thanks to all staff for making my stay great!

We loved Oba Time Hotel!

We have been in Oba Time for 5 nights and we enjoyed every second, hotel staff were very nice and caring, the room was clean and smelled very nice. We picked all inclusive packet and it realy met our expectations. Also we loved evening entertainment, we had a live band, a lot games, miss Oba Time competition, karaoke evening and ect. Talking about the beach, hotel also has it’s own beach with sunbeds and umbrellas which are free. All in all we want to thank Oba Time Hotel for making our first vacation in Alanya very memorable. We will definitely come back next august!

Nice time

The intimate hotel with very nice and friendly atmosphere. Reception staff willing to help. Every day the cleaning ladies are doing their best to keep the hotel clean and fresh. Dj smiley always knows how to make everyone around smile. Amazing and interesting night shows. He plays music from different countries, which makes everyone have a great time ;)))
