The hotel is very tight at full or near full occupancy. It stank of cigarette smoke everywhere. On July 21-23 it was impossible to pass through reception as it smelled so bad. There were tons of Turkish families these days who paid no attention to other tourists. Children jumping into the pools all the time made it impossible to use it. According to the offer in the superior room there was supposed to be wine, fruit basket and massage - nothing like that! refilling the mini bar with only two small waters a day is a joke. On arrival, there were two tiny juices out of the water - it's not worth paying extra for that. The room was cleaned very badly. In 7 days, my towel was only changed once! the foot towel was not changed even once. Rooms are not swept, bathroom dirty. There is long black hair left in the bathroom and balcony which is horrible. Pros are good food, snack bar, waiters in the cafeteria (except one who was offended for not giving him my phone number). It's good that there is help with umbrellas on the beach, because they are in such a bad condition that it is impossible to deal with it. A very pushy masseuse was also tiring. she accosted her everyday and it was necessary to run away from her. Close to the center. The water in the sea is clear. Entering the sea only in water shoes, otherwise you may injure your feet. I rate the hotel with a maximum of 3 stars.

I was changed to this hotel at relatively short notice and was not best pleased but decided to go ahead with the holiday anyway. Remember, it's just short of 3 hours transfer by coach to Alanya from Antalya airport. On arrival, as another review mentioned, your suitcases were sanitised (although, strangely, not my backpack). I was on the 5th floor, with a nice view of the beach, just across the road. The room was adequately sized with bottled water replenished daily and tea & coffee making facilities (I bought my own decaf coffee). There were 2 single beds which were very comfortable - and I'm fussy when it comes to beds - with what felt like new mattresses. Indeed I saw the supply of new mattresses stored on the stairwell to the floor above. Everything had been sanitised in the room (although I still wiped everything down with antibac wipes) The bathroom was smallish but perfectly adequate and there was a small balcony with the facility to hang items out to dry. There was a flatscreen TV with limited channels and a small fridge with freezer unit, as well as a safe. It was all inclusive. As a veggie it was a rocky start for a couple of days as the servers didn't seem to understand (the food had labels above) until one young lady whose name I can't remember kindly stepped in and I was set fair. The selection was perfectly acceptable and the waiters were pleasant. There's a snack bar (OK if you fancy burgers and chips but only fruit and salad for veggies) and an ice-cream parlour. There are 2 small pools with, understandably, reduced seating and plentiful sunbeds across the road on the hotel's section of the beach. The town is a pleasant 1.8km walk away or an even more pleasant bike ride (there's a paved boardwalk that stretches for 40 or more km) and the hotel allowed me to keep the bike in a secure area as I hired it for several days). On reflection, I'm happy I had the holiday and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and would recommend it.

A fab two week stay at the Monart City Hotel. On arrival, the anti Covid protection system was excellent, ensuring the hotel guests and staff remain as safe as possible. This included spraying of luggage prior to entering the premises and there were anti bac hand washes throughout the hotel including communal areas like lifts, stairways, bar areas and restaurants. Our temperature was taken three 3 a day. Check-in was effortless and help was at hand to transport our luggage to the room. Remote controls for TV and Air-con were sealed in new plastic bags ready for our use. We stayed in block 1 (above reception) perfect! Recently refurbished with large flat screen TV and bespoke lighting throughout. The bathroom was quite big with a power shower. The king size bed was super comfortable. The balcony overlooked the sea and the sunset above the harbour to the right was a sight to behold, perfect. The Hotel beach offers a bar too. The Hotel is immaculate, clean and very well maintained. The food is really good offering various meats, fresh fish, and vegetarian options. Soup of the day, salad bar/desserts/fresh fruit. Drinks include beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, juice, tea & coffee. We wanted to express in our review that the staff are all exceptional. From reception, bar, house keeping & Restaurant, all totally professional and very personable. Nothing was too much for them and everything was carried out perfectly. Thank you for a perfect stay Joan & Hughie Campbell
