we visited this hotel for the second time. The first time was 9 years ago and we had a similar experience both times. This is a good basic Turkish hotel for a good price. On arrival we had a disastrous transfer so did not arrive at the hotel until 2am and after reading reviews I was worried that we would have problems but we were checked in really quickly and efficiently by a really friendly gentleman. We were booked into a room on first floor with a side sea view. The room is basic with a TV, wardrobe and we had twin beds but that was fine we just pushed them together. We had a balcony with seating and also air-con. The room is clean and tidy and we had no problems. The bathroom is tiny and a little dated. A lot of patchwork where problems have occurred before and the shower is very temperamental with water temperature but to us its just a room and was clean enough. Breakfast is served 0800-1000 and I will say it is very much aimed at European market ( I think we were the only English there). I basically had Egg and Tomato sandwiches every morning. There was a selection of salads and meats but nothing to identify what the dishes actually were. Lunch was between 1230-1400 and again was aimed at European and not English. We could not identify what any dishes were and basically has rice and sauce with salad most days - my husband is a little more adventurous and tried the main dishes and said they were tasty. Dinner is 1900-2100 (but some days was available at 1830). Dinner was very much the same as lunch with nothing to identify what you were eating. The restaurant has an amazing view of the beach so is a nice environment and as mentioned in other reviews there are cats wondering around but we noticed no smell and they don't bother you. Staff in the restaurant and bar are friendly and its clean so no problems. We had the all inclusive package and had coffee, teas, Turkish tea and juices and water on tap. Beer and wine was available whenever between 11-11 but I don't know about other drinks because we didn't have any. The big selling point for this place is the beach, Step out the back door and you are on a beautiful beach with loungers and umbrellas free of charge. It is quiet and the location is great - it is an easy ish walk into town if you're up to it or there is a bus stop just across the street. There is wifi but you have to pay for it and you can only use it on one device.…
I stayed at a hotel with friends. The water in the toilet could not be let out. Towels were told to change every third day 😬 The room was not cleaned at all and the rest of the hotel looked dirty. The food is disgusting, tasteless. We also didn't like the service. The only good thing about the hotel is the beach and nothing more.
I would like to write thank you to night ship receptionist Mehmet, which one was very helpfull for us during our vacation in July. Hotel was nice locaed to near beautiful beach. Service was good depends of stars level.
Hotel is right on the beach and the sunbeds and parasols are free. Room are clean, air-conditioned and comfortable. Unfortunately refrigerator was not useful and there was no safe box in the room. We had to pay for Internet. Food is avarage but well prepared. Sunbeds and parasols are free, and reception guy is very kind always ready to give you a useful information and to tell you interesting things about place, and almost everything you need. Very friendly! Some small problems were solved immediately after talking with him. Great guy Mehmet! The same thing is with the guy who take care about beach. Persons in the restaurant could be more kind. Smile does not cost anything.
the hotel is in a very good location and has its own beach where deck chairs are free. warm recommendations for all those who go on vacation with exceptional staff, especially a man at the reception called Mehmet who will tell you in a very cordial and kind way everything you are interested in about Alanya as well as solve all problems if they arise. I would like to mention once again that the hotel is in an extremely good location very close to the center and you will definitely make your vacation better with all the wonderful people who work in it.
We are a British couple and booked in May 2019 to have our holiday here in October 2019. We'll start with the good points. Right on the beach and fantastic weather. Now for the bad points! We arrived at the hotel at 02:30 - no room available!! Refused to move to alternative hotel which was located in the city centre. After 2.5 hours wait and a phonecall from On the Beach we were given a room. Rude and unfriendly staff. Food was absolutely disgusting and inedible. Shabby, dirty and rundown hotel. Blocked fire escapes. Damaged and insecure pool ladders. Undrinkable red and white wine. All-inclusive drinks which did not include brandy, whiskey or rum. No cocktails. We have had numerous holidays in Turkey over the years with no problems until we came here. Warning! Do not book this hotel!!! It is of an appalling, shoddy, shabby standard. If you have already booked, there is a restaurant called 'Reggae Bar' 300m towards the town centre which serves excellent and reasonably priced food.…
On arrival at 4.30 we were told NO ROOM...this seems to the norm at this hotel! We were shipped of to another hotel for the night only to be told next day still no room and had to stay there another night!! Manager from Muz was a really pleasant guy and compd us a boat trip. Finally at the Muz it is clean superb views and a fantastic location right in the beach. All inclusive...food is basic but well prepared and tasty. Drinks are VERY basic not even a slice of lemon and very limited choice. Gin vodka raki beer and awful wine. The staff are some of the most miserable people I've ever been served by. I dont think EVERYONE has to speak good English when I am in their country but a smile is universal and the staff cant seem to manage that!! Except the guy who looks after you on the beach!! And the on site turkish bath staff they were fantastic!! All in all we enjoyed our stay more due to the location than anything else if your from UK this hotel does not cater well for you. The cats are awesome!! Be prepared to wait hours and hours for your room on arrival.…
Was very bad. Such a bad hotel was lost. Receptionists are liars, not gentle. People book trips and are told there are no rooms. In the rooms the fan is not working and does not clean it. Afound is dirty everywhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
We were travelling as a couple to join a family holiday. The family arrived a few days earlier (group of around 17people) and were told they had no rooms for them and took them to a hotel that is god knows where and is WORSE than this (you really have to try hard to top that). They managed to get their rooms the next day only because they kept arguing with the guy at the reception. So knowing this we arrived at the hotel a couple days later and surprise surprise - they did not have a room for us either. He kept saying hotel was full. We decided we will not leave to go to the other hotel as the reception guy tried to get us to do, but instead try and squeeze into one of the family rooms with the family for one night instead because we didn’t have much time with them as it was and didn’t want to waste any of it. So the hotel got one night for free on us - I guess this is how they work??? After arguing at the reception A LOT with the very rude reception guy, he agreed to give us a full sea view instead of side sea view the next morning. He said you can come at 8am and I will give you a room. Low and behold at that time the next day there was still no room for us, but after arguing AGAIN, we got a room a couple hours later, with two single beds instead of double. Nevermind we said, we got a room. But anything you ask for at the reception, like a safe, you have to ask a few times because they will not give it to you unless you demand it, as it is always excuse after excuse. The room did have a full sea view, but the air conditioning was making horrible noise, sounded like there was works going on outside. The fridge was not working. The shower was FILTHY! There was mold everywhere! And it wasn’t just a little here and there - it was everywhere. The shower probably hasn’t seen bleach for a good few years it was that bad! The food was always the same. Always some sort of eggs for breakfast, same fruits. Lunch was always chicken chicken chicken, in a different way each day. You get sick of it after a while. Fruits always the same for lunch too. Soup was good most of the time. Bread was fresh. Can’t even remember what used to be served for dinner as it was that unremarkable. Leftover food we noticed was used to make something else later the same day. God forbid you are a single girl at this hotel as the staff at the cafeteria and bar are hitting on you every chance they get if you are alone. The only good thing about this place is that it is right on the beach and the sunbeds and parasols are free.…
WiFi doesn’t work, food is pretty limited and not very nice, drinks were disgusting, almost everything you’d expect is a “paid extra” and the hotels cleanliness and overall attention to detail was poor. But ... we did pay a very small price for a week long break in almost peak season. So you get what you pay for. The hotel itself is actually on the beach so the only walking it through the hotel itself. Turkey is fortunate enough to be beautiful enough to redeem this poor hotel, however I’m 100% sure there are worse hotels out there. Staff are friendly enough, there is a built in shop in reception which was convenient but obviously more expensive. And it’s relatively well located to Alanya being only a mile or two from the town centre. If you plan to be out and about all the time and your hotel doesn’t matter much to you then yes sure go to Muz, but if you’re wanting the whole holiday experience then I’d recommend somewhere nicer. …
