Soviva Resort is celebrated by many for its vibrant atmosphere and family-friendly amenities, including a popular pool area that keeps guests entertained. However, while the reception is often described as welcoming, with beautiful music enhancing the vibe, there are mixed feelings about room quality; some find the accommodations clean and spacious, others describe them as run-down.
Service experiences also vary, with staff receiving both commendations for their friendliness and critiques for unprofessional behavior. Although cleanliness generally garners positive comments, opinions on the resort's overall value are decidedly split.

Pillows are softer. Very comfortable bedding. It was impossible to sleep the first night since the room gives directly to the nightclub, so unbearable noise until 3am, air conditioning absent on June 10 and yet it would be 37°, The food is good, not too varied, The pool is clean, slide 1/3 working, my little one took full advantage. As for the animators, a very good job makes it either for children or adults, they harden their work fully, special bravo for the daughter Mériem I think
Unresponsive reception following my request to change rooms, except Mr RIADH who was listening and made hands and feet so we could sleep away from the nightclub.
For 35€ the double room with 1 child, half board formula, I find it very correct.

Me and my friend visited 5th-10th October, we booked through Sunshine holidays for a ludicrously cheap price, we were both very sceptical reading the reviews, the flight was great, the transfer service to and from the resort was flawless. The food was pretty darn good, we didn't get upset stomachs the kitchen staff were all very friendly and helpful. and yes they do have pizza/chips/chicken nuggets for those uncultured among you. The room was decent with a balcony with a shower and toilet, literally all a room needs is a bed, plug sockets and shower so job done. If you are going take some extra cash as they do paid excursions from the resort which we weren't aware of, they have a shop on the complex and a jewellery store too. The drink is very limited, but its a Muslim state so what did you expect? they have a locally produced beer on tap, vodka, rum, gin, whisky and mixers included and bottled water ( get this at the bar not the shop) The one thing this place is lacking is decent WiFi, you have to go down to the lobby/bar to get an ok connection. Those who have complained about "uncleanliness" must have stayed somewhere else, as every day we saw the whole place being cleaned, toilets, lobby, the rooms are cleaned every day to a decent standard. One thing they don't tell you is there is a beach about 100m walk from the complex, its the same bar as the hotel so everything is free, beware of people coming up to you though trying to flog wares. I was super dubious about the reviews, but honestly i had a great time, would recommend overall 7/10

Good Points: The staff! They go above and beyond to make you welcome and help out whenever it is needed. The hotel rooms are spacious and kept well clean. The food is VERY repetitive but there is always something you can find to eat, however not once did I see any chips, which would have helped bulk a meal out. The buffet is very catered for towards other cultures and not English people and the food is very spicy. My advice would be to English people to go for food Atleast an hour + after the dining hall has opened! The hotel is in a good location with a very short walk to the main road where there are a few shops and bars - all very cheap. The highlight for us was the Hard Rock Cafe ( 10 min walk ), it was heaven to go there and have a proper drink and decent food - very very reasonably priced too. The biggest mention needs to go to the animation team, they work tirelessly for 14-15hrs a day to keep the guests entertained and happy, Mio, Tempa and Tigra you all do an amazing job!
Bad Points: The majority of the hotel is very outdated and in need of significant repair, the Covid pandemic and lack of visitors/income has most likely caused this though. The dining hall resembles a zoo on most days!! I was absolutely appalled at how other cultures hog the food and set up plates upon plates of food at their tables, and even more disgusted that half of this is wasted and left splattered all over tables and the floor. The utter disrespect and rudeness to all hotel staff from some guests was appalling to witness. Lack of awareness for queuing was a major issue with people just pushing in and demanding to be served, the poor staff were harassed to death. The choice of all inclusive alcohol is very poor, I’m pleased I bought some duty free alcohol en route!
There was a huge safety incident whilst I was there, I am not sure that the blame should be solely on the hotel for this, it was in the early evening when most people had started eating so understandably lifeguards are not on duty at this time. There were a lot of children, some very young left to their own devices esp from differing cultures..
I would consider going back here if the hotel injected some money into it to repair and update but also if they start catering food wise for all cultures and not just their own.

I do not recommend. You received your meal after standing for several dozen minutes. Food distributed by staff and served on a plate by them. As much as the staff deemed appropriate. You also have to queue for fruit. The only choices were watermelon, grapes and apples. Dirt, ants, cockroaches. Drinks poured by staff into plastic cups which were collected and washed! Despite purchasing all inclusive, the restaurant is open only three times a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No snacks. Towels and bed linen not changed throughout the week.

Hotel: A plus for a nice swimming pool and slides, moderate animations, the boys tried their best, some water aerobics, evening dance shows for children or dancing in the water. It's also nice that there are hotel loungers on the beach for free (the beach is unfortunately crap). Unfortunately, there are more disadvantages: the hotel is too far from the center of Sousse, you can only get there by taxi or "louagem" (it's a Unisian bus, something between a bus and a taxi - cheap, but it's a challenge). Unfortunately, the hotel surroundings do not encourage evening walks. The hotel is full of ants, and for those sleeping in beds against the wall it's a disaster because the ants are crawling all over you all night long. The food was ok, BUT there were too few bain marie and places to sit. Generally, for the last three days (despite the all inclusive program) we ate in pubs outside the hotel, because there was simply no option to sit down. On days when we managed to get a seat, we have to be prepared for the fact that we have to wait for each dish, so much so that the main attractions of the day, such as the grill, require about an hour or an hour and a half. Frustration, I do not recommend. There is also a very important thing - it is a hotel mainly visited by non-Europeans, it is a different culture, i.e. littering, rude people pushing into queues, touching food with hands, filling the table to the brim with food, and then a lot of food is wasted, and others are standing in lines. Oh, and wifi - or rather the lack of it, only in the lobby, but good luck - in the morning you might be able to connect, then not anymore, you can't even check your email, there's no way to send photos, you have to buy a Tunisian SIM card, it's always an additional cost. I do not recommend the hotel, we will not return and we will advise against it.

Hello, We were at Hotel Sovia from 02/09/2024 to 05/09/2024, and we booked 2 rooms and it was the worst hotel experience we had. On arrival in the rooms the air conditioning did not work, there was a lot of humidity, even the beds were wet. The hotel was extremely full and you had to queue for breakfast, lunch and dinner. People were fighting for a table and cutlery. We had never seen this: people lined up outside the restaurant before it opened to reserve a table and be among the first to serve themselves. On the flat side, the choice was limited and the quality was not there. The outdoor pool was dirty. Our rooms were on the ground floor and the patio doors could not close because the blockade was damaged. And on the day of our departure, we went for an early swim and when we returned at 9:00 am the housekeeper had already started to empty our rooms, she removed all the bed sheets and collected all the towels, I put pictures of them because for us it was the drop too much. To summarize this hotel is not for you, run away!

Once settled in we noticed the air con not working with it being 4 am we left it till 8 am. The air con was supposedly fixed shortly later we arrived back to the room to find the air con not working back to reception who sent someone to fix it again. The next day we woke up to find the air con not working properly we went to breakfast and arrived back at the room to be told we needed to change rooms as the air con had blown. Went to the new room air con was dripping water onto the floor again apparently repaired. A few hours later arrive at the room to find a huge puddle of water on the floor from the air-con. Complained and told to go away by male reception staff. The Air con now not working and leaking water all over the bedroom floor. The next morning cleaner complained to reception who sent someone to fix it. Again still leaking water all over the floor resulting in me slipping and hurting my back. Another fix and air-con still dripping water resulting in us leaving towels down at all times. Toilet leaking water in bathroom resulting to flooding. Water not working when people below us using the water source. Spa and mini golf never open. One onsite Restaurant which did not have enough food on offer often ran out leaving guests hungry and queuing for a plate for 20 minutes. Music blared till 2 am every night making it impossible to sleep even with doors closed. No snacks were available throughout the stay outside room filthy dirty. No children menu ants in wardrobes and beds. Complete disaster of a holiday and ruined our while stay.
Now fighting love holidays for a refund who have closed the case and not interested.

Worst hotel I have ever been, please do not waste ur money, rundown extra cost for everything, turds floating in the pool, no WiFi anywhere you need to buy a sim, food disgusting and burned, no drinks available, pay extra for so called cocktail, even if you want a cab of coke you need to pay. Spa is bad, offered human jacuzzi and massage, bought package and suddenly jacuzzi and indoor pool is not working, rooms are bad, no safety deposit box,, u able to look doors, ants everywhere. And Aircon forget about it. Please pay a bit more for a decent hotel. We are on the airport now and never been more happy to END our holiday

We have just returned from 1 weeks holiday and really had the best time.
From the minute we arrived the staff couldn’t do anymore. Like every hotel you can have teething problems but the staff went above and beyond to make us happy and rectify any problems we had.
The management and reception staff were very welcoming and helpful through out our stay.
The bar staff were amazing and very friendly.
The kitchen chef’s and staff went out of there way to accommodate my fussy 6 year olds eating habits, for that I’m very very grateful.
The pool was clean with a lined floor I would recommend swim shoes.
Plenty of activities throughout the day.
The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, the hotel is getting ready for the busy season so work is being done to make customers as happy as possible. The carpets are being cleaned and the hallways refurbished so hopefully customers will respect.
The animation team made our holiday, the time they take to make happy memories was amazing. Mar your mini disco’s are hugely missed by Libby & Harrison.
And Thankyou to Ouss and team you truly go out of your way to make everyone’s holiday a special one.
Ouss I truly hope that you stay doing what you love working at the Palmyra Aqua park, as they are very lucky to have you. And we will definitely return.
Thankyou again to all staff, management, cleaners we really did have a lovely holiday and can’t wait to see you all soon. XX
