just finishing my Holiday and coming back from Nerolia hotel just I want to say to all the staff and management big thanks & big respect for making my holiday unforgettable generally speaking the hotel was so nice calm and clean .Rooms were correct and daily cleaned maid was helpful with a big smile every morning . The food was lovely specially the Tunisian meals . the weather was really so so so nice sunshine during all the holiday . Again many thanks to all of you wait for me.. coming back soon .

Don't know where to start with this hotel. The staff are 4 star, the accommodation and most of the guests are 1 star. We had the worst 10day holiday here, mostly caused by our holiday provider and the lack of high standards at this resort. We moved rooms 4 times. 1st room had 3 beds for 4 of us??? They offered to put my 11yr old son on a fold down bed for 10 nights in a room where a 4th bed didn't fit. 2nd room, kept awake until midnight due to very loud karaoke singing from entertainment and the fact the door didn't shut and block it out. 3rd room, we endured 3 nights in with no air con as it was faulty and it was blowing out 28c hot air. We had to sleep in another room at 2am due to the heat and woke to the room being flooded by leaking air con thru the ceiling. After repeatedly asking them to fix air con and them trying we were moved again. 4th room, cool and big enough, but outside balcony door didn't lock and toilet didn't flush until we took it apart. The food waste is extreme! Local Tunisians stay here and the amount of food they collect from the buffet and don't eat is offensive!! The positives, the staff are very friendly and will do anything to try and help, they too seem frustrated. The 1st entertainment team with bibo and Sam was great, really friendly and lots of activities. They disappeared half way thru holiday and were replaced by much lesser entertainment staff that didn't fill the day the same way. We discovered on the last day this was because the hotel was being bought by TUI magic and would be aimed at the French, English and German. No more local Tunisians would be going. This hotel is in serious need of investment and sadly we had to stay at it when they were trying to prove how much it was needed. I'm sure when money is ploughed into it and the people it appeals to change it can be a lovely hotel, but at the moments its standards are far too low!

The staff is rude and dismissive, the facilities have potential but are ruined through bad workmanship and the ALL INDCLUSIVE is a terrifying joke. I actually just got home from Nerolia and could not wait to set the record straight and warn people to stay away.
First off the Staff: Almost no one speaks English and the male staff will be "inappropriate" with the female guests.
The reception will ignore you, and when you finally get their attention, they tell you you're too late and to come back later. They will do this two or three more times before you get any help. E.g. When I checked in around noon, I was told I could not receive a key for the safety deposit box in my room until the next morning. The next morning I was told to come back later at around noon to receive the key! WARNING; demand, keep and double check all receipts!!!!!!!
The Bartenders/ Bar. The lines to the bars are very long, often half- to one hour, and what you get at the end of these lines is a very small cup, about 1 or 1.5 dl of what you want from a very limited selection of drinks. The Bartenders will bum smokes from you, and if you don't give them a cigarette, you will find the service can get worse.
The pool staff, lifeguards and entertainment crew. They seem to think that the pool is their own personal playground. They take the guests' personal belongings to play with, without asking and discard them wherever they like. They walk around splashing water buckets on unwilling guests especially women. Guests were saving children from drowning!!!!!!!!!!!
The buffet staff. The busboys are very slow, showing favoritism towards good looking females. Hygiene is way below any European standards. The bars are as mentioned before.
Spa and excursion sales. Expect to be ambushed by very persistent sales representatives who speak very poor or no English and do not have brochures written in English.
The facilities are great, but are completely ruined through shoddy workmanship and bad maintenance. The air conditioning in most rooms is so week that it has no effect. The grade around the pool sticks out and is a tripping hazard. My wife and daughter both cut their feet on the grade. The fridge in the room does very little to keep your drinks cold. The door to our first room's bathroom would not close. And the list goes on and on.
ALL INCLUCIVE. The main thing here is, that we all got sick with diarrhea, almost immediately after having eaten at the buffet. My wife got it worst of all, as she was sick 6 out of the 7 days we were there. But me and my wife are still sick. I think it is important to note that every one we spoke to at the hotel, had varying degrees of food poisoning. That coupled with the before mentioned bar service will force guests to eat and drink elsewhere, and of course the hotel has a separate bar and restaurant were you can eat and drink, for a price way above Tunisian prizes
It is my opinion that this is a deliberate way for the hotel to fleece their guests for all their worth, and DETOUR should be ashamed to be associated with them. I expect a full refund and an apology from Detour.

So been since monday its now thursday Comunication here is very hard work very poor english had a few issues so far fisrt time we used shower it flooded the whole toilet area and into the bedroom when phoning reception to tell them all we got was an ok and hung up the phome eventualy the technical guy arrived with screwdriver in hand dismantled the drain job done next the toilet flush had broke so he fixed that as well we also asked about air condition as dod not go cold he dismantled a light switch 🤣 and said was ok showed me to a service cupboard to show me water was cold so sasly still not vold we have just tried booking the ala cart resterant at customer relations she said you want resteraunt then asked if we spoke french we said no she waited a few minuits then took her room key out of her bag and disapeared sme of the staff try hard but mostly are rude guess were not russian 😡apart from that the hotel is nice and the food is hot unfortunatly the service is terrible running out of plates cups tables not cleared quickly and once they are cleared they are not reset for other guests to use the pool bar does not serve spirits so you have to get dressed and go into the lobby bar for a drink also overall not a lot of choice of drink no coctails either 2nd visit to tunosia probibly the last as firt time was just as bad but thought we would try again 🤣

Where to start??.. Good - Nice looking pool area Bad - I could go on forever… Room - not very clean at all, bathroom filthy - arrived to find blood on the bed sheets, safe does not work, tele didn’t work, ants throughout whole room. Staff - apart from Bebo Ben and 2 bar staff - every member of staff was rude arrogant and unhelpful. Food - unedible!!.. catered for everyone but English so we spent a week eating bread after my partner got food poisoning due to the chicken being served still clucking - red raw inside. After us complaining about the food - we were followed around like hawks by management and the head chef, this made us feel uneasy to say the least. The day before we were due to fly home 2 smart watches were stolen out of our room, when we approached the division manager to report this he was not bothered at all, said he was unwilling to help as alls we had done was complain - which we had a right to do considering the uncooked food that was being served. Due to them not wanting to assist us we had to go to the police to report the theft. Absolutely shocking hotel - will never return even if I was paid to go. This story will be reaching the papers. Hotel should be shut down. BE WARNED - DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS WE DID BY BOOKING THIS HOTEL!!
