Main restaurant ran out of food regularly and you had to put up with people pushing in queues and people on half board pilling their plates and putting food in their bags when the waiters were not watching. Food was warmish when you manage to get some. The Margherita restaurant (a la carte) was far better, Waiters were very good in both restaurant, Kommal looked after us for breakfast in the main restaurant. We had Italian night food twice, Tunisian night and fish night, all was very tasty and good. Drinks in the pool bar were in small polystyrene cups, however if your face fits you were given glasses, we witnessed 3 girls with drinks in glasses by the pool. The main indoor bar served in plastic cups sometimes when glasses ran out. Food debris was left behind the snack bar all night and only cleaned next morning. The evening entertainment was average but all chairs and tables and taken very early. We didn't bother staying as we could see from our room but meant you couldn't relax with a drink and watch. A lot of the English people we spoke with all said they felt the hotel at the time of vacation was not suited for Europeans and other guests were given priorities. Plenty of sun lounges, you have to pay 2 dinar per mattress a day if you want a mattress. The pool man works hard every morning cleaning the pool. Often found cigarette ends around the pool and glasses from the previous evening until late morning when the cleaners come out. Rooms are cleaned daily. The transfer from airport to hotel was a shambles, had to change coaches and some guests had an additional hour on the coach. Guests were dropped off at an hotel, other guests hotel was next door but the driver drove past this. Yasmin , guest experience manager was pleasant and came over to all new guests in the a la carte restaurant and can be found at reception.

Once again, I chose to take my usual summer holidays in a hotel in Monastir. My travel agent gas suggested I would go to a new place instead of the usual hotels I stayed in, for the past years. The hotel selected by my agent is the El Mouradi Skanes Beach. The duration of my stay was 8 nights from 18 to 26 June. It was a good choice since the hotel was only roughly at 30% of its 1500 beds capacity.
From the very first day, I could feel the care and joviality and professionalism of the people working there. There was fun and plenty of activities suiting most tastes and interests: games, sports activities, sauna relaxation room, swimming pool gymnastics… As shown in the attached pictures and videos, food was more than plenty to fill in the bellies of all: lots of varieties satisfying all tastes. My wife could even enjoy many gluten-free meals and pastries. All the staff of the reception area, restaurant, swimming pool bar, animation team, room cleaners were very caring and always ready to help.
May be, I was lucky to have a room where I could enjoy free internet though it is sometimes difficult to use the hotel WIFI. I also had a small minibar and a flat screen TV with French, Arabic, polish and Russian channels. There was also the BBC news channel... I heard that a full program to extend WIFI to all areas in the hotel (beach, main hall, restaurant, swimming pool and common areas) is underway and will be shortly operational.
It is a pity that sea erosion has decreased the beach area but it is a common phenomenon to most Mediterranean beaches.
Speaking about the old aged furniture, it is still in excellent condition. Room was cleaned daily and towels and bed sheets changed every day. My deepest respect to the lady cleaners who are doing a great job.
On the overall, my wife and myself really enjoyed our stay and are even planning to come back again next year.

The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and very welcoming. The food is lovely if your willing to experiment with it, but there is always something to eat. The fresh fruit, salad and veg is out of this world and the cake well beautiful...
Entertainment, very poor.. Kids Club is still going on at 22.00 and for myself and my husband listening to baby shark at 21.50 is not really entertainment for us. Love the fact you cater for the children, but walking through the disco tonight even the rep looked bored and that wasn't including the other guests.
It's the same songs every night, and it does get very boring. We had karaoke last night and that didn't start until very late either.
Also I went to toilet opposite the restaurant tonight and walked straight back out, lights didn't work and I won't get started as you what was all over the floor. I ended up having to go up to my room to use those facilities instead.
The people that work within the hotel are outstanding and will go above and beyond for you, there are a couple that stood out that we shall be thanking on the day we leave ourselves.
Apart from that we are 3 days into our honeymoon and looking forward to the next couple.

This is my second winter I spend here (2 months) and it's my second home in the meantime. The staff is extraordinary friendly and try everything to let you feel comfortable and cozy. Actually it's time for a general renovation but since they got a new manager last month it's going forward. There's a huge choice on the buffet, the rooms are spacious and the location is great for visiting monastir and sousse since there is a bus station in front of the hotel charging less than 30 cents and transfer is 25 minutes. Close to the airport but no noise. Guests are mixed German Tunesian Danish French Dutch Russian which makes it easy to get in touch without one overwhelming group. There are two huge pools plus indoor so it's not overcrowded and a private beach. The restaurant is newly renovated in Feb 2020.the prices are reasonable and you get a lot for the money. The golf course is opposite the street, huge selection of alcoholic and softdrinks, huge quality buffet at lunch n dinner so you actually find always something. There are many returning customers. I'll come back for sure!

We have been to Tunisia 7 times, I booked for a month holiday, meeting up with family (two other families) at this hotel.
i emailed the hotel twice before we arrived but got no replies, i thought that as the hotel is not told until a week before we arrived that we were coming that was OK.
as soon as we got there 26 sept 22 for a 4 week stay, we were being told that the hotel was closing at the end of the month, then told the 7 Oct , then the 15 Oct, and finally told it was closing on the 17 Oct and we and my other parties were to be moved to another hotel within the group.
the hotel which did not open this year until the 1st June,
the receptions staff told us very little,
here are some points that no one is saying
I would not recommend this to anyone
one of the pools was closed before we got there, the one with the slides.
ice cream was stopped being served after our first day.
Meal in the main dining area were very bland as well warm/cold at times and at times did not or could nor even supply eggs for breakfast. food was regularly reheated,
guest were allowed two slices of pizza at a time from the snack bar, unless you were local then you were allowed a whole one
Nice bars in the evening. but they allow smoking inside the enclosed bar area that leads into the corridor rooms
We did like the al a cart, only used once due to the hotel closing the al a cart in our first week of 4 weeks, this was only open two days a week when it was open.
Drinks very OK, NO water in room, in fact water was something you had to buy 2TD a bottle. and you were not allowed to fill bottles from the water dispenser. sometimes there was a bottle of water on your table at mealtimes
a daily charge for the safe key was 5TD the safe was in the room, free sunbed but you had to pay 2TD if you wanted a mattress,
Air con could have been better, had it checked 5 times by maintained staff.
Staff could be more helpful, and tipping every drink helped
Sea was full of bricks and broken tiles, beach very narrow and sea shallow.
on the 1st Oct we were told be the bar staff the hotel would be closing on the 17th i went to reception as two of out party had only just arrived and was flying back on the 21st. the reception staff kept saying they know nothing but clearly, they knew what was going on.
we did get moved after involvement from ONTHE BEACH and SUNSHINE rep in the resort. we moved to another hotel on Monday 3rd, to enjoy the rest of our holiday
it was clear to me and my party the hotel was being rundown ready for closing. and guests were still be booked in after we left.
not suitable for disabled guests and there is no ramp from reception to the first landing/floor where the lift is

What an awful dump of a hotel defo not 4 star more like 1.
Temps in the 40s hardly any aircon.
Hotel over full with Tunisians .
Food hall packed with no where to sit.
Greedy Tunisians helping themselves to much more food than they could eat using their hands instead of serving utensils. Throwing food back after trying it , totally totally disgusting and unacceptable.
Pushing , skipping in queues.
Just nothing left by the time us civilised ppl got to the front of the never ending queues.
The same when the snacks pizza bar opened then same again when the pancakes came out. We got nothing.
Hotel needs organising when it comes to meal times.
I could not wait to come home and I've never ever said that before on holiday.
Nothing around the hotel just a dump.
On the good side some very lovely staff that is not including reception they were not very helpful at all.
The Al la cart restaurant repeats every 3 days....the only place we could eat as the Tunisians must pay lower rates thank god or I think I would have starved.
Drinks are awful.
Cleaners from the rooms constantly want tipping.
Our cleaner day b4 we left said she was on holiday so we wud not see her,...but guess who was still there on our last day again constantly knocking on our door even thou a do not disturb notice was on the door.
The most horrible hotel you will ever stay.
Take my advice don't waste your money or ruin your holiday by staying here.

Lovely hotel with fantastic facilities from multiple bars to two pools. Right on a small private beach. The entertainment in the evening was different every night and quite enjoyable. The lobby is clean with again it’s own bar and staff are very helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard with new towels every time however a ‘do not disturb sign’ isn’t available in every room and probably should be as there were a few times we were still asleep when the maids came in however they were extremely friendly and happy to come back later/next day. The rooms are slightly outdated but this wasn’t an issue at all. The restaurant has a variety of food and is a decent size the only slight issue is there is a bit of queuing required for popular items such as meat, pizza etc. pools are maintained to a goo standard with multiple life guards and they each have their own snack bar which was a pleasant addition alongside many sun beds. The pools were also used a source of entertainment as activities such as Zumba, water polo/volleyball were often taking place. The Wi-Fi only works in certain places but this was expected as the hotel is a significantly large building. The staff have been absolutely excellent and have really surprised us they are genuinely such a lovely bunch of people who are happy to help and go the extra mile. All in all a very lovely holiday down to the staff and facilities. Would definitely recommend

Jist back form a break in Tunisia
We booked El Mouradi Skanes for 4 nights as we stayed a week somewhere else.
I'm glad to be back to see my friends
I really did enjoy every minute I stayed in the hotel
We arrived at lunch time we've been greeted by Moez Reception manager who took our passports and fill our registration form out for us and we've been told that we are upgraded free of charge to a Sea view room (much appriciated)and Abed el Wahed the billboy get our cases up to the room as the room was ready
We head to restaurant for lunch where we meet our friends (waiters) down there who are glad to see us again and been seated in a nice table next to the window facing swimming pool
Next morning I meet my Best friend Atef (receptionist) who was happy to see us as we are always in contact via email he make sure we are settling ok and everything is alright with the room, in the afternoon after being back from a wee run with the car in the city we meet Fayçal (receptionist) and he welcomed as warmly and he was glad to see us
We meet as well Hadj & Sahbi,Yassin, Ammar,Imen...
Overall it was a nice stay
A big improvement at all levels especially the food, rooms are a bit dated but we heard that refurbishment is planned in near future
Thank you El Mouradi Skanes
We definitely be back.

Don’t believe the good reviews, I honestly believe they must be made up.
The pool is great though you have to pay for sunbed mattress, small and I mean small bit of private beach, couldn’t walk along it as jam packed with sunbeds and I can’t say enough how tiny it is
The animation team are always busy, but if you’re not interested they don’t hassle you.
The rooms are basic, with cupboard doors hanging off and moth holes in curtains, the bath plughole is covered in rust.
Basic selection of alcohol, what you would expect in a dry country but all has a whisky taste.
Reception staff struggle with basic English so instructions are as clear as mud. Trips and facilities in hotel are plentiful, but boy do you get hassled. We ended up being so rude to quad guy after constantly being followed and harassed.
Now the food…..always something to eat, if you get to eat. We walked out of dining room as I have never experienced anything like it despite being to several countries, take school dinners and multiply by 1000 and you still aren’t close. No matter what time you go at it’s CHAOS. Queues 150 people long, barging into you and the arrogance and rudeness is appalling. We walked out, went to the shop and bought crisps as there isn’t other options to eat out locally.
We aren’t posh and realise you get what you pay for but if we could’ve flown home believe me we would have.
All we expect is a clean basic room, better weather than the UK and food and drink (if you are all inclusive) and so far the only one that’s there is the weather.
Please don’t waste your hard earned cash coming here.
