I have to highlight the photographers who were very profesional and very friendly. They did amazing job of capturing those amazing moments we spent there. You didnt even noticed that somebody is there and then you have amazing photo for you family albums. Always smiling and very playful to kids.
We didnt participate in any animation program as we had our little one with us, but the animation program was rich and full of various activities thru the day. All the animators were very friendly.
Sadly sometimes there were some language barrier but nothing we could handle. Most common language is of course French, but I would expect English to be the second one. But may be due to the mix of visitors next language was russian.
That brings me to the mixture of guests. Mainly french, russian, arab and czech.
I hated to see the wasting of food during the bufet meals. But mainly arabs did that. Full tables of food that was left behind. Sad picture of a bad behaviour from people from the same country or at least culture. But most of guests just took what they were able to eat.
Nicely dissected accommodation so the noise from the main pool or night singing at reception or pool side shows was no problem for us as we were accommodated at block 15 which was in a quiet section with own relax pool. Perfect for our little one to be able to get her after lunch sleep.
Can recommend to any family with small children.
Good points :
Very large swimming pool
Meals that are good if you take fish or meat cooked daily on the grill, or Tunisian dishes
The wait is mainly for the grill, the fries and the pizzas, and again it all depends on when you eat, sometimes no wait to help yourself...
Daily entertainment with yoga classes, aquagym, darts, volleyball, zumba, oriental dance. A special mention for Bob who was the only one to introduce himself to us and who was always very smiling and energetic / to other of his colleagues
Massage for 1 hour for €25 at the spa, thanks to Houcine, very competent who works very well, I recommend him.
At the Da Mario restaurant, it was good table service and choice between 5 starters (pizza, seafood pasta or soup then 5 dishes including 3 meats and 2 fish)
Please note there is no possibility of having PASTA as a dish, be careful if you have children who expect that...
The Tunisian restaurant offers couscous as a single dish, the starters are either Bricks or Tunisian salad. Pretty good meal.
The beach is just a few steps from the pool and we always found space.
Negative points :
Pool edges that are not smooth so it can scratch.
The food tongs should be cleaned more regularly and above all the water for the accessory for making the ice cream balls must be changed...
In the morning the young "cook" who takes care of the pancakes is not pleasant and only serves 2 per person....
Block 7 on the ground floor we had cockroaches 😕and indeed even if it is harmless it is not pleasant to come face to face with these creatures. The reception gave us a very effective spray but despite this, even on the last evening we had rediscovered it...
Room poorly soundproofed whether for the occupants next door, from above or from the sound coming from the central swimming pool.
Not very thorough cleaning 😕
The sound is too loud in the evening, and the show is late when you have children (starts at 9:30 p.m. see 45)
Water in a carafe undrinkable for us in the main restaurant, we daily took the bottle of water provided free of charge in our room fridge.
We still enjoyed our stay but without the cockroaches it would have been better and I would have given it 4/5
Room mediocre we come to take the bath towels in the morning around 8:30 a.m. so you do without towels until the end of the afternoon when you don't have to go to reception to ask for them, lack of toilet paper, not very clean
The drinks are not great and lots of cardboard cups
No fresh juice in the morning
No fruit except super hard plums
Show inside... we want to be outside
The beach is dirty filled with cigarette butts
No alcoholic drinks at the beach bar
The best 👍 the swimming pool and friendliness of the staff
The promises made on the booking page turned out to be far from reality.
Upon arrival we were accompanied to the room and the surprises began: instead of finding the double bed as promised in the advert we found two single beds joined together in a bad way with a chasm in the middle. Despite my prompt complaint to the staff, the situation was not resolved in any way, their solution was to put a double sheet over the two single beds and a blanket in between to try to smooth out the hole, with little success .
The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. A superficial cleaning that left the floor completely wet when we arrived in the room, as the French window was left closed, the dust was never done. Changing towels was equally disconcerting, with used towels being taken away in the morning and new ones only given in the afternoon, preventing us from having a post-sea shower at midday.
The possibility of being able to eat in 4 different restaurants is passed off but the reality is very different, you can only access the common canteen for free while the other restaurants (which are actually 2) can only be used once for free and you have to pay for the subsequent ones, with waiting times to book them in the order of 5/6 days. The Tunisian restaurant (the palapa) has a fixed menu and gave me an intestinal problem which I am still dealing with, 10 days have passed.
The drinks in the open bar are of poor quality, undrinkable, the quality of the alcohol is poor and they are poorly dosed, it seemed like they were poorly made specifically to ensure that one could not use the service.
The buffet, although varied, often does not offer edible foods, forcing me to eat pizza for the entire stay. The staff were inexperienced, unprofessional and often rude, lacking attention towards customers.
The sea is beautiful but almost always unswimable as it is full of algae, which, moved together with the sand by the continuous passage of jet skis and motorboats a few meters from the shore, make the bathing experience unenjoyable. The pressure from local vendors to purchase "experiences" (camel rides, quad bikes, jet skis, island tours) at exorbitant prices and completely out of market for the location, only added annoyance to the overall experience.
The swimming pools are another problem, with the need to get up early to secure a place (even after 8 in the morning you risked not finding a place anymore). You have to rush to reserve two sunbeds and an umbrella, the ridiculous thing is that they are occupied with towels and left empty for hours. Overcrowding makes it impossible to relax, with poorly behaved children and uncaring parents who spend their time at the bar getting drunk on poor quality alcohol.
In summary, the Fiesta resort beach turned out to be very far from expectations and did not conform to the description on the site from which we booked it. I cannot recommend this resort to anyone in light of these issues.
Reception at reception very good, Honis very kind and always looking for a solution to your room problems.
The entertainment team, very good. There were 9 of them during the period, they do their best to entertain you. They do 1 different show out of 3 evenings. Lot of energy
They also have dancing evenings until midnight after the evening entertainment, not easy to get the retirees moving in May.
The rooms are clean and correct, a shower, a bathtub, a sink, the toilets are separate. The bedding is OK and the rooms are cleaned every day
There is a mini fridge and a safe (for a fee) BUT NO HAIR DRYER, just 10 on loan at reception....
The catering is very good, lots of choice at breakfast (pastries, breads, pancakes, cereals, omelettes, fruit sausages, etc.) lunches and dinners are also very good, lots of choice in starters, raw vegetables, hot dishes, main courses Tunisian, homemade pasta and pizza, rows of cakes, fruit and ice cream.
The catering, room and maintenance staff are always friendly
The swimming pools are clean and well laid out with a large number of deckchairs, there is also an indoor swimming pool.
The beach is very easy to access, deckchairs, very fine sand, clear water.
Take advantage of the excursions offered by Salim, he is from the hotel so no scam but no tui. He is very kind and very attentive. His carriage ride to the Midoune market is worth doing.
The spa is crowded with people, it is shared by two hotels, so if you take the 128€ package in advance you will not necessarily have the slots you want
It is also possible to have spa treatments on site.
Otherwise spa in front of the hotel
Please note that there are shops leaving the hotel opposite.
It's a very secure neighborhood.
Taxis to towns are €3-4 per trip (1-4 people)
Good stay with excellent value for money.
Although the wait to get my room upon arrival was a bit long, the service at the reception was very good, smiling, responsive and competent.
The same goes for the main restaurant where the waiters take great care to make you feel comfortable, find you a table or bring you your drink. The buffets are good, several typical dishes at each meal and lots of grilled fish. Although a little repetitive (and that's normal, you can't reinvent the wheel every time) you always find something to eat well and have fun.
At the different bars, fast and friendly service, we remember what you like and after a few days you no longer even need to order. Often a nice little word or a little touch of humor as a bonus.
Rooms are cleaned every day, sheets changed mid-stay, bottles of water always available.
Never a problem finding a lounge chair by the pool but it becomes much more complicated when there are several of us. At fault, people who already leave their things on the chairs since the evening to reserve in advance for the next morning. This is THE big downside I think and it should not be allowed. I was even advised to do this to be sure of getting a place. And it's the same at the beach. That aside, the atmosphere is quite good and it is easy to get to know each other, which is probably as much due to the customers as the staff. A smile leads to another smile etc.
The biggest strong point of the hotel is probably its entertainment team. I really appreciated that the whole team started the day by going around the deck chairs to greet customers, whether we were new or not. They are present, always smiling and available, without being intrusive, funny and attentive to people's well-being. And above all, most of them are superb dancers. The dancing evenings before and after the meal (a big thank you to the musician present every evening and who knows how to change his songs so that we never get bored!) are truly a pleasure. The team comes to invite everyone, without insisting, and it's a joy to dance a waltz, a tango or a chachacha with Tito, Major, Bob, Haymen or even Diego or Mario. The terrace is sometimes even too small to accommodate all the dancers.
The shows are very well staged, congratulations to the choreographer, and well danced. The only downside is that the music is sometimes a little too loud in the theater. Same at disco.
Overall, a very good stay that I will share next time with one or more friends!
The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. The housekeeping staff ensured that the rooms were cleaned daily, and the towels were replaced regularly.
The hotel offers a range of facilities, including swimming pool, spa, gym and restaurants. The dining options were excellent, with wide variety of food. The service throughout my stay was exceptional, most of the staff were very friendly, always smiling, and helpful. The weiters did a fantastic job, ensuring our comfort and well-stocked table. They were attentive and made dining a delightful experience.
Great work had been done by animators. Thank to them, were variety of attractions, both to adults and children. Also atmosphere they created made the whole stay enjoyable.
However, there were some drawbacks. The WiFi coverage in the hotel was inconsistent, with some areas having very weak signals or no WiFi at all.
Additionally, some staff members had limited English proficiency, which occasionally led to communication challenges. The cost of my stay was reasonable and not exorbitant, which was significant advantage. Additionally, the hotel offers an option for families of 2 adults and 3 children, which is huge plus for families traveling together.
Buffets are such a horror that there are people. One evening we even had to wait 20 minutes for a table to open and then wait in front of each dish to serve ourselves... There are many things that could be prepared in advance (pancakes/boiled eggs/ pizzas etc. ) but they prefer to see people waiting 30 minutes in line each time.
The pizza maker even waits for the pizza to come out of the oven to start preparing the next one.
The quality of the dishes is also to be reviewed.
At 8am no deckchairs available, people get up at 6am to reserve their seats. The waiters are almost all unpleasant. Most staff openly mock tourists.
Few activities for children.
If you are of Arab, black or Maghreb origin, no one from the animation will speak to you and all the services offered will be poor.
Finally, the cleaning man empties the ashtrays full of butts under the palm trees of the garden.
Large, comfortable room even for 1 person, free safe and refrigerator with cold drinks in the room unlike other hotels, and cleaning is done every day.
The catering is varied, the garden is magnificent and well maintained.
But above all a great team of entertainers: Kiko, Bob, Sam, Mario, Steeve etc. We never get bored at Fiesta and the evening shows are really successful.
The staff is very attentive and warm.
I recommend Nesrine at reception, so friendly and smiling, always ready to help and advise us, don't hesitate to go see her.
