Detailed Reviews
Rooms clean, we were lucky, room 531 had a sea view (we paid for that ahead) and was far from the pool disco. If you want to sleep peacefully, rooms 529-533 are ok. They will all probably be more expensive due to a view of the sea.
The food is very Italian, but you could always have fish, salads, fruit.
The beach is not right next to the pool, it is about 300 m through the park, about 50 m shallow, then deep. Towels for the pool were changed only twice a week (Wednesday and Friday), otherwise for a fee. The lady at the reception was not very guest oriented, the man was definitely better.

Very nice resort, would need more maintenance but we always found everything clean. Food not very varied and not very good, except the pasta that was managed by an Italian cook (luckily). The animators especially Roberto, Matteo and Jack super nice and cute, funny shows maybe a little 'too many dances would be better to add some comic sketch since those few they did were very funny. The cleaning ladies in the morning would enter the room without asking permission to take away the towels. Beautiful sea, maybe the beach should be raked because there are pieces of glass and plastic in the sand, but the water is spectacular. The beach restaurant very nice and we ate really well, the best probably. The spa very nice, the girls speak little Italian, but are very nice and professional. As for sea excursions, jet skis and parachutes super recommended, while shore excursions not recommended the souk tour in Midoun nothing big and take you to a shop where they advise you to buy that make you “a good price” which is not true, turning we found better. Overall we would go back for the sea and entertainment but definitely not for the food.

We stayed at this Valtur hotel two weeks in August 2024. While not loving holidays in villages we wanted to please our 13-year-old daughter and make the experience. The hotel, although a bit dated, is very comfortable and clean, the rooms simple but functional (we were in double superior), with air conditioning that worked well, with towel change and daily cleaning. The reception is always available to resolve any inconvenience with courtesy. The pool area is very pleasant and the pool very large to allow even swimming. The beach is very beautiful and "Caribbean", with white and soft sand. The sea is generally spotless, although it can happen that on some days the currents can bring algae. The beach service is basic, with a bar, a pizza oven, showers, umbrellas and sun loungers plus a nautical center with paid activities.
The hotel restaurant allows you to eat inside or on the outdoor terrace, where in the evening you can enjoy the background of the live music of the talented Matilda. The animation is professional, attentive, nice but at the same time discreet... that is, you participate in activities only if you feel like it and you are not forced to endure their presence if you do not feel like it. But the guys are very nice and good (a greeting to Giovanni, Giacomo, Roberto, Matteo, Elia, Andreja, Alice and Matteo) they know how to involve the youngest and those who are a little less so, and the evening shows are very nice (very good dancer / choreographer Eva Luna, along with Emanuele and Robert). Of course reading other comments you can always complain about something - a difficult window to open, placemats not spotless, little pizza on the beach or alcohol for a fee after 22.00 - but the courtesy of the local staff and entertainment Valtur made our holiday very pleasant, and I think this is worth much more than these details.

The beach/destination is incredible, an authentic paradise, we recommend this destination for holidays whether as a couple, alone, family or friends, it is spectacular.
But,
I completely advise against this hotel for Portuguese tourism
We travel quite frequently, sometimes for work and sometimes on vacation with the family, we had never had such a bad experience in a hotel.
It was the worst experience ever, at this specific hotel,
No matter how much understanding there is, there has come a point where understanding goes beyond the limits.
Some employees, especially those in bars, are extremely arrogant and unpleasant, often rude.
The hotel is completely dedicated to the Italian market/tourism, the other countries are completely ignored
In terms of cleanliness, hygiene is good, the cleaning staff are one of the few who are friendly and attentive regardless of our nationality.
The food has no variety, but that's not all in terms of presentation and quality, it leaves a lot to be desired, it's practically just Tunisian food, with little or no options for those who don't like it or can't eat it, because of the way it's prepared, very little fruit, of poor quality!!!
A positive point, attentive and friendly kitchen staff, one of our members is allergic to gluten, we spoke to the chef, who was very attentive and took care to always have gluten-free products available whenever requested by us.
False all inclusive
It's only "all inclusive" until 10pm, after that time everything is paid for with the exception of coffee and tea, but beware of the arrogance with which you are greeted when requesting coffee or tea after 10pm if you don't know the rules, these two products can try to be charged.
Snacks non-existent,...!!! there is only pizza
Water is not served in a bottle, but even here we understand if it is a way to avoid waste and rubbish, water only by glass and from 11pm onwards the remaining water dispensers, which are at the pool bar, are removed to force us to buying bottles of water, or being careful and filling bottles before removing the water dispensers, It doesn't make any sense, we are talking about water, after removing the water dispensers it doesn't matter if it was a child or an adult who did it. Requesting a glass of water is met in a very arrogant and cold manner. The answer is that you have to buy... It's not the value of the bottle that's at stake, but attitudes...
Supposedly we bought an all-inclusive package,
But if we pay attention, Italians have some perks...
By the third day, of course, we already spoke Italian with a good accent and those who didn't know us yet treated us in a friendly way...
The animation is weak and practically ignores other nationalities, it is practically dedicated to Italians, there is still a lot to learn from the large hotel chains that exist on the market.
"I don't understand we paid the same or even more. Very unpleasant"
I don't know if these situations only happen in this specific hotel in the Valtur group, but after this experience, it is very unlikely that we will stay in hotels in the Valtur group again. Before booking, we always check which group it belongs to...

Not recommended for those with small children!
There was supposed to be a baby food corner in the resort, we arrive on Monday and they tell us that the catalog probably needs to be updated and there isn't even a microwave for milk! (It magically appeared on Thursday evening together with two bottle warmers), they couldn't wash our bottles with dish soap, we had to get the unpackaged yogurt for the baby and cheese in the morning for the evening otherwise we couldn't have them. Thank goodness we had ready-made mellin soups for lunch, but at dinner they had to prepare us a soup which we always looked forward to and after almost all the adults in the room had now been served! The pasta then magically ended and we were left without it, we made do with some soup found in the room! We had included this "valtur baby card" to receive these freebies we had to go to the office 3 times including the email sent by our travel agent! All inclusive of almost nothing, from 10pm onwards no alcohol or drinks, only payment, bartenders who invented new prices every day to pocket! Example spritz that went from €7 to €10 depending on who you found, almost everything was paid for, especially a cot €5 per day, or a dirty camping cot, for which on the second day they demanded to receive payment immediately (at home I usually always pay everything together for the last few days, forgetting... left it outside the room, we brought it in ourselves, and it was ready only 2 hours after our arrival! After 2 hours one from the reception "ah but they have the child so they have priority" ... pool towels with a deposit of €30 x 3, only €20 seen back because they forgot to mark one!
One day we find ourselves without even a towel!!! Not even one! We ran to the reception and were told to wait half an hour (me and the baby in the tub after the shower waiting) in the end we dried ourselves after half an hour with the sheets and ran to the reception again where they told us that it is normal to stay up until at 4pm without towels (never happened!!) raised my voice reminding them that we have priority over everyone as we have a newborn and then after 1 hour they appeared, leaving aside the surprise that when we arrived in the room at 11pm the beds had no sheets and we had we had to do it!
No 'Sorry' ever received, and speaking with several present we were not the only ones who were dissatisfied!

Very nice Resort, conveniently located in Djerba, very close to the golf course , beautiful beach, close to the Casino and the best local restaurants.
The property has been renovated in some parts, the lobby is very nice and well maintained. The services are good even if the all inclusive has some incomprehensible limit, they should not be on the hard all inclusive. For example, water in the room is charged with the exception of the first welcome bottle, alcohol after 10 pm is all charged... In short, this revisable aspect ..
The rooms... some are recently renovated and very well maintained, others feel the weight of time and would need a renovation. starting from the bathrooms, I eliminate the old and dangerous bathtubs in favor of the most comfortable and modern showers.
The activities of the village are very good and the excursions interesting and well managed. beware of the sellers of beach activities, take only those proposed and guaranteed by the hotel.
The events inside the structure are very engaging and the guys of Valtour very good. Apart from the heat of July I would suggest this property. Almost all speak Italian and the Owner, Tunisian, has lived many years in Rome, so you can easily compare.

Very good experience.
The animation guys are all great, professional.
Shows very well built, well directed and well executed, with remarkable costumes
The animation head Giovanni, soundtrack "Bambola", present but not intrusive
Great Giacomo, engaging dancer and contact man able to bring anyone to the track.
Beautiful choreography by Eva Luna.
Elijah of the tribe present and attentive.
Tireless and patient Valtur Land girls.
Catering that lives up to expectations. Every lunch and dinner with freshly cooked and sautéed pasta. Embers of meat and fish every day and trays never empty.
The guys who serve drinks at the restaurant tables efficient and polite, even under waves of users who evidently do not understand what type of structure they are in.
Director always present and attentive.
If we really want to find a mole, there is the guy who makes pizzas at the snack corner on the beach who has excessively long production times. Prepare and bake one pizza at a time. Too slow!
Beautiful beach. Beautiful sea in the morning when the tide goes out, less sl afternoon.
Another drawback, the nautical base offers little or nothing as a free service for guests. Cais, the attendant, in the week we stayed at the Resort only hunted a canoe once, making excuses such as rough seas, which however did not prevent him from selling all other rentals for a fee.
Another applause to the guys in the bars, especially that of the pool.
Week, still ongoing, that I would do again serenely.

We have just returned after a lovely week spent in this property with an all-inclusive treatment in a superior room.
Premise no. 1. We are on an island which, despite being invaded by accommodation facilities of all kinds, still remains an island located in the southern part of Tunisia, the desert, poor, with scarcity of water resources, etc.
Premise no. 2, read the contract conditions carefully before leaving.
Premise no. 3, make a quote with the same characteristics in an Italian three-star hotel and compare the prices...
Premise no. 4, with 800 euros per person, last of August all inclusive, you cannot expect all inclusive with lobsters grilled at the moment on the beach or the mojto co a fogietta de menta at every lap of the pool... Premise n. 5, if the entertainment guys (always present, never intrusive) urge people over and over again not to occupy the sunbeds at 5 in the morning and then show up on the beach at 11, to remove the towels when you go to lunch, but people don't give a damn and continue, what fault does Valtour have? if 200 dromedaries and horses pass by the water's edge every day and perhaps there is a few cockatoos on the beach that the owner of the dromedary/horse "forgot" to remove and the village staff didn't have time to remove, what fault does it have? village and/or Valtour.
But do 4/5 very calm, docile dogs that don't even come close to you even wanting to give you a caress bother you?
We had a great time, from all points of view.
Strengths: the sea which when there is no wind and in the morning is truly remarkable. TOP entertainment, for children and teenagers and also for adults... professionals! Food (yes, just food...), we found it excellent and varied.
Things to improve: the rooms need a general tidy up, not that they are in bad shape but at least the doors and bathrooms should be redone. The tub re-enamelled with enamel brushed on, you can't see :-).

We stayed for a week and I assure you we were very disappointed.
The complex is not bad at all but cleanliness is not their strong point.
The dining room staff is very friendly, while the staff at the various bars in the hotel are rude and unfriendly.
The all-inclusive formula is a joke, after 10pm you have to pay for alcohol (7 euros per drink), after 12pm you won't find ANYTHING even to pay for.
The service on the beach is insufficient, places are very limited, the same thing for the swimming pool. The beach towels are changed twice a week and they end up promptly.
The food for lunch and dinner is always the same, little variety, terrible cleanliness of the dishes.
I strongly advise against the excursions offered by the center, since once the package is sold they abandon you completely.

Great animation. Above average food (great pasta). Wine and bottled water at the table! Lunch better inside, dinner outside is wonderful (with piano bar). Comfortable and clean rooms. The cooks were so cute, especially a girl who worked to pay for her studies. Free espresso good at restaurant (there is 1 machine that gives a great coffee). Wonderful sea. Recommendation to take 1 or 2 rows to the sea in full periods, to always have an umbrella available. Bring a towel that on bail of 10 euros gives you 1 to change only on Thursday (@##). Great tribe! Beats the 5* of sharm! Remember that the 5 min djerba is equivalent to half an hour Italian! Great infirmary service with Italian speaking staff. Great holiday!
