Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent food in terms of variety and quality, beautiful but not sufficiently well-kept beach. The refreshment points (Bars) are clean but with the drinks never properly cold and sometimes missing. The town of Madhia allows evening outings in total tranquility with affordable prices. The population is welcoming but non-intrusive was the real happy note, unfortunately the cleanliness of the city is almost non-existent

Fantastic Veratour! A special thank you to the entertainment team, starting from the head entertainment Mirko, a great professional, actor, singer and dancer, who really made this holiday special with such kindness, spontaneity and energy! A huge thank you also to the rest of the team. Pietro, a very good dancer, who involved us in water aerobics, stretching, GAG and group dancing. Very nice Alessandro, a worthy opponent in team games (never managed to win in two weeks...). Yetafer super tournament player, between beach volleyball, bowls, beach tennis and darts we didn't miss anything! And again thank you thank you thank you to the SuperMiniClub girls! Jessica, very good manager, Alessandra, Giady, Giada and Sofia always very sweet, smiling and available! The MiniClub service is superb, from 9.30am to 6pm (including lunch if desired), with lots of games and activities. My almost 10 year old daughter was practically always with them, and when it was time to leave she was crying like a fountain! Thanks also to Ondina and Alessio for their assistance and availability. The evening entertainment shows are a real icing on the cake, lots of laughter in the cabaret, and beautiful musicals!

As for the structure, acceptable cleanliness, very convenient beach towel service and friendly staff. The all-inclusive format was excellent (even though I really missed the good old Spritz hahaha), the food was acceptable even if I ate better elsewhere. The Blue restaurant on the beach is definitely better than the central one, especially in the evening because it is reserved for Italian guests only. Very kind waiters and restaurant manager (we were 3 groups of friends, all with children and every lunch/dinner we found a table for 10 people set for us). Unfortunately, the international guests had a tendency to hoard food, loading up on their plates and then having a lot left over, it was sad to see all that food wasted. Not to mention the rudeness of some international guests, and the total inability to stay in line (I thought that we Italians were the worst at this, but instead...). We didn't particularly frequent the pool area, preferring to stay by the sea and in the "Italian" area where we could participate in the Veratour entertainment activities.

In summary: TOP Veratour, STELLAR entertainment, beautiful beach and sea (thanks also to the lifeguard Sofienne for her availability!), so-so food but it suits us!

Tip: bring lactic ferments, avoid ice, ask for a room on the internal side (on the Veratour amphitheater side there is a nearby disco that plays loud music until 4 in the morning and many guests on holiday with us were unable to sleep due to the noise)...and bring cash because they don't know what a POS is, you can't pay almost anything by credit card (only the internal minimarket allows it, although I've never tried).

A hug to the Veratour guys from Bianca, Fix, Vittoria and Berto!

I found myself in this hotel because veraclub manages a wing of this huge complex that I would consider old-fashioned as a construction and as general plant engineering. It seems that the Italians manage this space enough and make efforts sometimes even big that everything goes for the best with their entertainment and with their restaurant even if of little Italian, the cleanliness of the rooms even if large and comfortable leaves something to be desired as indeed everything. The staff makes efforts to please the guests, but with little success because it is their way of doing things, and they are all under stress too many hours of work. The beach and the sea are beautiful, but it leaves to be desired the management not to mention the towels they made available nothing short of scandalous. However beyond all expectations I can say that everything went well thanks to Iris the animator Manuel in charge of boat rental and all the staff of the bar and restaurant who was always kind.

Myself and my partner travelled here last week and I would definitely not recommend. On entering the hotel it looks lovely but the reception staff are not very welcoming at all. We had to pay tax and the hotel would not accept card payments or Bank of Ireland, Bank of Scotland notes nor would the bank inside the hotel so if travelling check your notes before you go. The bedrooms in the main hotel are very basic and probably about 2*. The cleaners do clean the rooms every day but on day 2 I killed a couple of bugs on the bathroom floor and they lay there until the end of the holiday.
The beach is just at the back of the hotel and it relatively clean outside the hotel but as you walk up the beach it is very unkept in areas.
The bar staff are quite pleasant as long S you tip them at the start of the holiday although their English is very limited.
The food was ok and we managed to at least get something to eat each day but the flies are everywhere.
You do get pestered quite alot in the resort to buy excursions, we did the camel rides, quad bikes, pirate ship and photoshoot. We felt that the pirate ship was not really worth the money for us but may be for others. The photoshoot in the gardens and on the beech was worth the money and you can buy as many photos as you need . Outside the hotel there is nothing to do as it is mostly derelict buildings and very run down so a taxi is required. It was a nice break away but definitely wouldn’t be back in a hurry.

I was hoping for a vacation but found myself living a nightmare. Never have I wanted to go home so badly. The surprises, negative of course, start immediately after paying the amount for the stay: the return is no longer in Salerno from Monastir, but you have to get to Tunis and from there to Rome where by bus you will transfer us to our destination. I accept the change hoping it was worth it, although reading the reviews I have some doubts but the agency that sold me the stay reassures me: it is a four star! I'm leaving quietly. Arrival in an old structure not renovated. Approximate room cleaning; I had to ask on one occasion to have the two towels cleaned and on another the shower shampoo. Dilapidated beach service with 90% old and broken sunbeds and ridiculously large and dirty beach towels. Kitchen not suitable for international users with approximate hygiene. Dirty dishes despite having been recently washed. Frantic and superficial room service with tables often without napkins to be found alone if not finished. Young waiters makeshift and more careful to address compliments to my daughter, than to take care of their work. Threatening episode from a bartender to a guest. The only positive element of the stay remains the Veratur animation with guys available, always kind and capable. Poor and approximate Veratur organization for transfers. The return journey began with an alarm clock at 4:00 in the morning to reach Tunis by bus at 8:30 and learn, only once arrived, that the flight to Rome had been moved from 10:00 to 15:30. In fact we had already been diverted to Rome and then transferred by bus to Salerno with an additional 2 hour trip! Strange that the Veratur managers did not receive any pre-emptive e-mail regarding the delay, because I was shown one by a passenger, who had nothing to do with Veratur and who had not read the e-mail that arrived at 23:00 the day before. In summary I left the village at 4:00 in the morning and arrived home at 22:00. Thank you Veratur! I strongly advise against staying at this property and would pay close attention to the management of transfers organized by Veratur, perhaps more attentive to savings than to the satisfaction of its users.

We stayed at Veraclub El Mehdi for two weeks from 12 to 26 August 2024 and it was a wonderful holiday: beautiful sea and beach, very good food with a very varied menu offering a wide choice of dishes, fantastic entertainment and a wonderful room with a spectacular sea view and with perfect cleanliness!
We had a great time thanks to the Assistant Veratour Alessio who explained us with precision and competence all the excursions, was always available, courteous, professional and attentive to our every need and always helped us and satisfied for all our requests!
We also thank Assistant Noemi, the Tunisian Reception, Cleaning and Restaurant staff for their professionalism, courtesy and availability!
Veratour for us is a guarantee, in fact this was our 39th stay at the Veraclub Villages and certainly in the future we will continue to Trips with Veratour because every time we return from our holidays we are always happy and satisfied with our trips!
Thanks Veratour from Stefania and Giuseppe!

This is my review of my 10-night stay at this Inn.
Cons:
*Cleanliness of rooms: The rooms were dirty, with a flagrant lack of regular maintenance. One housekeeper for a floor with more than 100 rooms, making proper cleaning impossible.

*Service at reception: Reception staff are rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional. No hello, and an unpleasant attitude.
*Comfort of the rooms
: The beds are uncomfortable, with two single beds glued instead of a double bed, which causes back pain. In addition, the air conditioning emits a bad smell.
*Paid services: Many services such as the indoor swimming pool, the gym (€3/h) and the football stadium are subject to a fee, which was not clearly stated at Check-out. Even the safes in the rooms seem to require relying on the unconscious for their safety.
*Wi-Fi connection: Wi-Fi is not working properly.
*Animation: Animation is repetitive and lacks diversity.
*Safety for children: Lack of security at both the pool and the beach. The number of mentors is insufficient compared to the number of children in the entertainment club.
*Treatment of clients: Feeling that Italians are privileged over other guests, which is disappointing for a stay in Tunisia.
Pros:
*Swimming pools: The pools and beach are the Pension's highlight, well maintained and pleasant.
*Restoration: The food is good and the restaurant staff are friendly, welcoming and serious.

*Conclusion: This Inn is not recommended. The service does not meet expectations, the promises made on arrival are not kept, and the comfort is far from there. In addition, there is a lack of safety for children and a visible preference for some customers, which leaves a bad overall Impression. Even for the safety of the property in the vaults, it seems we must rely on the unconscious, which is unacceptable for a 4-star Inn. Frankly, he deserves less.

Arrived here on 29th April and stayed for 10 days. Was greeted by friendly reception staff, check in was easy and stress free.
I did feel the only let down was the bathroom in my room, very dated and definitely needs updated ! Rest of the room absolutely fine with a lovely sea view.
The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and the staff are a real credit to the hotel.
Now on to the food. Well all I can say is amazing !! I looked forward to every breakfast, lunch and dinner ! The restaurant staff take real pride in keeping the guests happy. The food was traditional Tunisian food, lots of choice and all very tasty !
The bar area was nice and the bar staff very helpful. The beer is good too !
The pool areas and gardens are well kept, keep your eye out for the lifeguards, they will assist you with a mattress for your chosen sun lounger, either by the pool, in the gardens or on the beach.
WI-FI isnt very good, only available in lobby, then if busy its very slow.
All in all a lovely 10 days - Thank you to all the staff

I left with my family for this holiday and for the first time with Veratour, not knowing what I would see, try and know. We stayed a week there. Well organized hotel, clean, the staff always very helpful, pizzaiolo do Hotel sometimes a little nervous, maybe the reason was the line that was always very long to get pizza. The Italian chef always very attentive to small details and very kind. A beautiful sea, the pools spotless. Franco Mahdia's guide, strong in his work, was very nice to everyone, took our little one for a camel ride and gave him an ice cream.
I reported to both of us Alessio della Veratour, what happened with our 6-year-old son and that made us uncomfortable, S. the manager of the Mini club had already reported something about the behavior of our son in a single day, which according to her punished him immediately, not enough needed to send a not-so-kind message to my husband's cell phone, I'm really sorry for the fact that she, the animator forgot to report in the message that our son was without drinking water for a long time, indeed he drank a lot of salt water according to him from the rough sea in the Tuesday morning, in the afternoon they forgot to bring him his armrests remained in the Miniclub house and since there was no one who could go and get them he could not play on the pool slides, all this made him agitated and nervous, which is why my husband decided to take him only to the baby dance.
As a suggestion I would say, if an animator chooses families who have children to sit at the table to eat, try to change tables so that no child feels excluded or instead privileged.

This hotel isnt for the British or black British to come hear the English Is very poor i struggling understand them. I arrived Monday morning at 4 am. Theres no wifi in the rooms only main reception.yoy have to buy data.
There it is over crowded and has one little shop that sell a little bit of drinks ice cream, sweets, chocolate, clothes and gifts. 5 pools. They water down the coke in small glasses.
There nothing to do apart from exertion. Outside the hotel is so busy with the locals. Everything you need is so hard to get you need to get a taxi to where you want to go.
My room hasn't being cleaned since I got hear the walk past and said 10 mins but don't come. Once they empty the bins and didn't put a bin bag in the bin or change bedding or sweep the flood.
This hotel is for the European and locals not for the British/black British the people are rude they stear they make comments in their language get called african not English.
This Arabic woman put her hand on my daughter head while she was playing on the beach. The lifeguard couldn't or won't explain the situation they said ok no problem.
Yesterday I had a swin and I went to pick up my baggage and a German woman was getting mad telling me to go away.we have not enjoy this place one bit.
When going to get a drink or going to the shop they serve the European first.

Hi Trina We were there several weeks after the museum shooting. There was an unarmed security guard who kept an eye on the beach area but since we were there early in the season, there weren't many people on the beach since the water was still too cool and it could get quite windy and cool even during the day. Having said that, we never felt unsafe while we were there, for what that's worth. The only time we saw armed police were on the streets at the roundabouts when we drove to and from the hotel. I don't know what country you're from or what you're used to in terms of security but I don't know if having an armed security guard on the beach would make me feel any safer. I saw this once when I was a kid at a hotel in the Dominican and it actually made me more scared since I wasn't used to seeing people with guns. I don't come from a country where everyone walks around with a gun so it's unusual for me. We had a great trip to Tunisia. The hotel staff were all very nice and as horrible as the two attacks there have been, I don't see how these 2 events should impact the entire country with a permanent stain especially considering how many shootings (for whatever reason) occur in countries like the US on a regular and ongoing basis.
