We spent (family 2+2) 11 days in this hotel – it was July 2021. That was our 2nd time in Tunisia and again we were impressed. It wasn’t perfect but it was worth of every spent €. The Nour Palace: [before going there please note that this is a huge hotel - 70% of hotel guests are polite/nice Tunisians with families, 15% these are Poles, 15% other nations] 1. the strongest side of this hotel are the people (most of them) – I must highlight the Reception Desk (Mr. Haytham was the best receptionist we have ever met, 100% professionalism, always helpful and smiled, even if swarm of guests stands and shouts at him trying get what they need!), main restaurant waiters (at least 80% of them are really dedicated good people), salad – pizza – desserts – main courses chefs (special smiles & cheers to Ladies Chefs), also warm words goes to whole cleaning staff, ladies & gentlemen your work is perfect (I never seen such clean toilets in Africa!). Finally, the gardeners – especially Mr Gardner with leucoma eye disease – you are doing a great job in surroundings of the hotel, big thank you! Special thanks to one (only one) lifeguard who usually worked at the pool & water slides – only him understands how important is his work & he does it perfectly, thank you for that (I have noticed that he gets the toughest tasks connected with physical work – and the simply does it without complaints! Tunisia, Africa, Earth needs such people!) 2. good sides of the hotel are: -food, various, tasteful, fresh, in the most cases in the right amount, served quickly -hotel infrastructure – everything in the right place, well organized, clean and comfortable -the pool and fun areas (slides) – look great, are clean, works really well and gives a lot of pleasure, apart from some crazy guests actions at the slides all attractions are safe -beach – WOW, long, sandy, with clean water, beautiful sights – if the beach personnel would focus more on cleaning the beach area, I would give the highest rank of the beach I have seen in Africa, effectively I’m giving 4+ (max is 5) -location of the hotel – one hour trip from the airport, 10 minutes from Mahdia city center – not too close but also close enough to say – a very good point for traveling -rooms & view – they are very nice & comfortable, the view is amazing -hotel is decorated with very impressive paintings (especially that one at the main restaurant made me WOW – the charge of the Bedouins), mosaics and other Arabic tasteful works of art, all put together gives splendid effect of Maghreb wealthy 3. Things that should be improved: -bathrooms state – small investment and their state can be improved, currently they look as in 3* hotel -the pool bar staff at the open air restaurant – people who should work on good manners & improve performance -main pool staff and their activity in terms of sunbeds/mattress – there was not enough of sunbeds & mattress, pool service was bringing only part of the items – the effect was that a lot of guests had a problem with that. Also, why the mattress was hidden so early even from 17:30? It should be done not earlier than at 19! I was a witness of a few fights with the personnel when guest was asked for giving back the mattress on which they were sitting – this is crazy, especially that 5* hotel should serve 100% comfort to the guests. - The beach personnel (so called lifeguards), they are focused on what is going on…..with their flower displays on beach sand or internal discissions. They distribute small number of sunbeds at the beach, they completely don’t check is the beach clean in the morning, sometimes they make some cleaning but this is rather “special action”. What is not comfortable, that whatever they do for you it seems that it has to be extra paid – e.g., setting a sunbed -sometimes very long queues at the main restaurant, it refers to warm dishes - if you know (and the restaurant boss should know) what are the rush hours at the restaurant you should make some steps to eliminate 20 meters queues witnessed many times, if one dish has a big interest every day simply add one person who will double the work effort. This is simple & based only on the right observation. 4. the downsides – the beach bar personnel, two (sorry guys) lazy workers who simply don’t work, if they do this is only for extra dinars given by the guests – if you will give them money they will service you, if not forget about it. As a young person I was such beach boy and my 1st action was asking all guests at the beach do they want any drinks! Every guest had such service twice a day! These guys walk a lot without effects -the animation staff – besides one girl with long brown hair (she probably comes from Europe) who works very hard with the kids (we never left our kids with her, but after observation I can say that she does a very good work!) most of the animation team are “fallen stars from closed theatre”. They do something but that something if not done would be even better. I had a “pleasure” to talk with 3 of the animators and I must say that my core observation I had was gigantic self-confidence, egocentric which sometimes was simply rude…..I asked few other guests what they think about it and said, that they simply avoiding them. So dear Animation Staff please work on self-control, good manners & be more friendly than pushy! One important point – if the girl is not Muslim, please treat her also with full respect in other case be prepared for the right reaction from her or her husband! -the room air-condition – sorry this is not air-conditioning system but rather fan which blows the air to the room – such air-condition is approvable in 3* hotels -the ants problem – we had ants in our room at the 3rd floor with the view on beach/golf field, we have seen the aunts on many occasions in many places in the hotel (above the ground level) – hotel must fight with the ants! -kids pool – at the pictures of the hotel we can see a frog & small pink slide – all working. In fact, both are inactive and stand aside. Also, the fountain at this pool doesn’t work. Dear Hotel Manager please understand that the kids also are important guests and very painful for them is lack of these attractions – especially these very small kids who are afraid of using big slides. Please fix them or completely remove. Cheers. 4. Negatively shocking -never make the maintenance with the lacquer paint while you have the quests at the specific place of the hotel – during our stay the painter was painting the valves lockers on the whole floor, the smell was horrible, as it was standard paint. If you must paint, please do it at night and only with odorless paint. It wasn’t nice when you are coming back to the room (or going for the meal) and whole corridor smells horribly, especially when you are with the kids! This is crazy. Our general view on Nour Palace Resort: The place worth of visiting, after making a few adjustments this hotel can be the best one in Mahdia region. This is a great place both for families, couples & singles. In this place we have a synergy of professional staff (in most cases), good food, superb hotel attractions, beautiful beach & big opened spaces inside of the hotel perimeter. Adding to that small distance to Mahdia, and big shops in the neighborhood we are getting general score of strong 8/10. Definitely we recommend this hotel. It was amazing, i've had such a lovely vacation. The food was good but there are a lot of people, i didn't like the room Oddly enough there is no toilet hose. The animation team was energetic, cheerful. thanks for your amazing work ❤️❤️

We spent a week with friends it was such a intimate place, great service, fun animation team and such varied buffet… I would definitely come back next year nd i recommend everybody to visit it nd trust me u won’t regret it
