Pleasantly surprised with The Mirage given the mixed reviews. The resort is sprawling and clean, the service was good. The reviews that say you are included in less activities if you are not French are correct, but this suited us well as we were a group of 6 adults and 1 baby therefore we made our own fun! We ensured that we tipped the housekeeping team as well as the restaurant staff and I feel like our service improved accordingly. Sassi in the restaurant was the most attentive, lovely server and made our visit special.

Myself, my partner and our three young children stayed here for 2 weeks in September to October. The hotel is lovely, modern and very family friendly. Our room was great. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a large living room and a balcony overlooking the grounds. It's a few minutes walk to the beach where you'll find dozens of sunloungers available. The pools are fantastic. One deep pool for the strong swimmers, one that's around a metre deep and a shallow kids pool. There is a shop on sight that's not too expensive if you don't want to venture to the markets. The restaurants a great but very busy at times. There's a lot of local cuisines to choose from or if you don't want these there is always pizzas, chicken kebabs, chips etc. The staff were all so friendly and sincerely happy to help or advise you. There were two members of the restaurant staff who were especially fantastic. They were so helpful, funny and basically became our 'go to' staff. Sassy and Anwar, you are amazing, thank you. There was one member of staff who made our visit so unbelievably unforgettable. She worked in the kids club and the entertainment team. She made time for us, sat with us on a night, became friends with us. We still have contact with her now. She was devastated when we were leaving and this made us feel so special. She is a credit to this hotel or anywhere she works in the future. Her name is Sameh and we can't thank her enough.

Don’t be fooled thinking Tunisia is a muslim country, this place is not muslim friendly. There are huge signs displaying females are not allowed to wear Burkini (swimming costumes for muslim women) The Mirage hotel has 3 pools, they could have made 1 just for females and families wearing Burkini’s. I was told I am unable to wear what I want because it made the French guests feel uncomfortable these are the words of Shakib who is the hotel manager. Imagine going to a muslim country to be told you can not dress modestly and being told 80% of hotels in Tunisia are the same. I’ve always wanted to visit Tunisia, so we stayed at the Mirage resort and spa. Some staff were friendly and most were not. This hotel mainly had French guests which wouldn’t have been an issue until an issue was raised. We were sent an invitation to our villa inviting us to the dinner party at the beach, dress code being white. My partner & I went to the beach only to be told we can’t be there due to not being French these are the words of Papsi (Hotel staff). We both are British muslims, south-east asian heritage. We were both appalled by the way the staff treated us. I was extremely upset by the comments being made by the staff there. We complied and got up and left, feeling disheartened. The next day we went and spoke to Shakib (Hotel manager) Expressed our dissatisfaction, only to be told our dinner party invite was to the wrong villa room. The night before the entertainment staff Sama invited myself and my partner to the dinner party at the beach so when the invite came we both didn’t think twice and went along. My time and efforts were wasted. I will not visit this hotel again. The Madina Bazaar (small traditional market/shopping area) is like 5 minutes away by taxi. The bazaar area smelt of urine and faeces due to the horses in the area which you can take a horse and carriage ride on. The only good thing about this hotel is the hotel villa rooms were clean and bug free. There was indoor shisha area and Montashir was one of the nicest waiters/bar staff you will meet at this hotel. Shisha was roughly £6.

I usually study the TA reviews when selecting a destination, this time I didn't, FORTUNATELY, as there are some reviews that stink, and would certainly, have deterred me, and I would have missed one of the BEST HOLIDAYS of my LIFE. My personal requirements: Comfortable clean accommodation, Good Food, Good friendly service, truly All Inclusive I have no desire for Entertainment or Activities. This resort was ideal, We arrived at the end of a Half Term week, when apparently they were very busy, the week we stayed they were virtually empty. The "villa" was spacious with a large sitting room, with chairs a fridge and sofa, leading out at the rear to a sun terrace with chairs and a table. there was a spacious bedroom, with a massive bed and a wet room with excellent shower. The accommodation was serviced daily to a high standard with fresh bed linen, The sitting room and the bedroom were each air conditioned. We took all three meals in either the main restaurant or a few times in the a la carte, the food was always good, topped up frequently, and hot. The service was always good and fast, the waiters friendly and fast. Nothing was too much trouble. In Tunisia you are in a formerly French territory so the expectation of the staff is that any North Europeans are French so that is how they address you, but they always revert to English when you reply. The all inclusive was correct for us, apart from the Tourist Tax I spent absolutely nothing whatsoever, and we never left the hotel complex until the taxi collected us, on time, at the end of our wonderful stay, and yes, I would certainly go again, the sooner the better!

First of all the staff overall more accommodating to french people not anyone else. Other nationalities feel their rudeness and ignorance. Even my children felt their rude behaviour and attitude of the reception staff and the few waiters in restaurants. Two games tables in the resort has not got any notice that these do not belong to the resort people and from outsider so it keeps people money in whereas you cannot play the game. People spend many coins in the machine which kept money & when you asked staff they said its nothing to do with us. Also when you order the taxi from reception to yasmine hammamet or medina or maxi centre make sure taxi people got meter on otherwise they charge you more. With meter its only 6 or 7 tnd. But reception people say its 10 dinar. Reception people also try to con me with prices from resort to airport they said give us 70 euros or 190 tnd which is way too expensive. Its only 40 minute drive and should cost between 20 to 25usd. Which is about 20 pounds. We refused the amount and gt the price from taxi outside and he charged us 70 tunisian dinar which was only 18gbp. So the reception always tell u double the price. Because they know we were from uk. We hadanother family with us who said same thing that due to their language being only arabic or french they do not care about other nationalities where as we thought we should be all treated same and with respect. First 2 days they cleaned our rooms after that they never bothered which was bad again

The hotel is DEFINITELY NOT a 4 star. The hotel rooms were grubby, dirty and outdated and did not reflect the photos on the website whatsoever!! Whoever took the photos, photoshopped them to an inch of their lives!! Door handles broken, showers that leaked everywhere, windows that didn't shut, lights that flickered constantly, and a the bed was dirty, hard and generally uncomfortable! The food was absolutely awful. You couldn't tell what you were eating and the labelling of the food did not help. If you were a vegetarian, then forget it as you had potatoes, and occasionally rice to eat. Even the salads were covered in Tuna half the time ( may have been another animal but who knows?) so inedible for a veggie. The hygiene in the restaurant was to be highly desired leading to myself and my partner suffering from dysentery for the whole week!!! My partner could only eat a little bread most days as he suffered so badly, and us still suffering days after our return!! We complained but nothing was done. The staff were rude and only polite if there was a tip involved. The guy who helped with our luggage to the room questioned how little our tip was!! And asked for more, the cheeky git!! We'll never go there again. We are still having stomach issues so nearly 2k wasted and lots of bad memories!!

The hotel complex is massive, the whole area was always tidy. The pool was nice and cold but refreshing lol. The pool bar staff very helpful and friendly always. Adel the big guy was great. Entertainment staff were a great laugh well the ones that mingled in with us certain others were quite rude. But the guys of Neno Daly Aladdin Ousmane Lou to name but a few were good fun. We found the check in reception guy quite rude not very helpful we found out things about the hotel via fellow English guests. The excursion guys were good too. The food was nice but signage of what’s what was a let down as some of it was a guess. The restaurant in the bar, always check to what is the free night! Don’t get stung like we did on one night.

Amazing stay. Room was amazing and clean. Pool area and beach facilities were great. Entertainment team were amazing especially amine, he made the holiday. Shows every night were to a high standard and there was always something to do during the day and night. We went to the al a carte restaurant for an extra charge which was really nice and worth the extra bit of money. Already planning to come back next year.

We were initially a bit worried about all the bad reviews for this place but were pleasantly surprised and had a great two week stay. The staff are lovely and very attentive, we tipped for good service but we didn’t feel guilted into tipping which was nice. Sassi in the restaurant was the loveliest most hard working guy we met in there and Mariam on the animation team was so lovely and talented, she would always come over and make effort with us. The guy in the shop was great too, super friendly. The pool was stunning, always kept immaculately clean. Never had any issues with sun beds either. The beach was lovely, perfect sand and comfy loungers. The sea itself had a lot of seaweed and jellyfish piling up on the shore which put me off swimming in there lol! The food was ok for us, we always found something to eat but a lot of it was cold or slightly warm which wasn’t to our taste. The bar was good and the waiters were very attentive The rooms were lovely, great size and aircon. My only negative was no plugs near any mirrors to do your hair Overall we had a lovely stay and would return.

Great experience so far. Firstly after reading the negative reviews I was quite worried about how my experience would go, HOWEVER it had been amazing. Staff have been great and the room has been amazing. Big shout out to the entertainment team NINO. Amazing guy Al round, has definitely impacted our holiday positively. Secondly, our rooms are cleaned everyday. We come back to a very clean room. We chose the the villa/bungalows. The villa we got is a short walk out of everything, however if you love peace and quiet like us, this is the best options. It is spacious with a big bed and living room. Nothing better to ask for during a relaxing holiday. Thirdly, the service we have received from the bar staff and restaurant has been great. Always greeted by everyone. Food has been great, there seems to be a different selection of food everyday which is quite nice so never the same. 5/5 The location it’s self is a 10 minutes taxi to a local town which only 10 dinars which is not bad at all. The hotel is secure and has a private beach access with a bar too! There is also a little shop in the hotel. The shop keeper is very friendly, big shoutout to him too. Lastly, the are a few activities to chose from such as quads or camel riding. We’ve done the quads and it is definitely worth it. I could no recommend it enough. Once again, experience it yourself before trusting negative reviews as we have Completely been turned around positively by them! Thank you NINO and everyone
