The hotel was lovely! the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The entertainment staff were great, especially micheal, mimi and mohammed. There is lots of variety of foods with lots of local options. The evening entertainment was always good, the staff were all great with the children. I loved the micheal jackson performance. The hotel is clean and the pool areas are well maintained. There’s lots of activities to do at the hotel and excursions that are really reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend:))

Don’t believe all the bad reviews. Some people just like to pick fault. We stayed at Cooee President from 6th Sept for 11 nights. We asked for a quiet room and we’re given one overlooking one of the pools and the stage where the nightly entertainment took place. The room was huge and very comfortable. The food was plentiful and varied, with something to suit all tastes. Yes they ran out of plates at busy times but it was only a short wait till staff brought more. Our complaint was the greedy people who piled their plates high but only ate half! What a waste. The pools were great! They were cleaned everyday and the Pool areas were thoroughly cleaned too. Whoever said one was green and dirty, must’ve been at a different hotel. The staff were all lovely, especially the bar staff and the guys that brought your drinks while you soaked up the sun. Please reward the staff with a tip as their wages in Tunisia are very low. The beach is so close, also cleaned every day. The sea was like a warm bath. There are a few shops and restaurants outside the hotel too. All in all, we had a great time. One tip, if you like to read, bring your own books as the book exchange in the hotel had no English books. There were very few English people in the hotel. Mostly French or German. No newspapers or English tv either and as our Queen passed away, we would’ve liked to have seen some coverage. Would we come back? That’s a definite YES!

This is the most amazing trip I have ever been to. The animation team is really considerate, funny, amazing dancers - every single one od them. Michael is kind, dear, and he is probably the best Michael Jackson dancer I’ve ever watched. Zan is amazing with kids, they and their parents love him the same. When you see him smile you need to smile too. Mimi is beautiful, my 6 year old son fell in love with her. :D She’s so charming, kind and patient. All the love for them.

I never had this much fun with anyone. Michael is great as Michael Jackson, he constantly amazes me. Zan is probably the most charismatic person I have ever met, and it's a real joy dancing with all other members of the team!

These guys are awesome! Always kind, ready to talk and explain, constantly making you laugh. Michael has an amazing energy and he's making sure you feel good all the time. Plus: he is amazing dancer, you don't get tired looking at him. Zan is funny, you're constantly laughing when you are next to him. He was born to do this job. Mimi is kind, sharing her attention to everyone. I never had this amazing time with any other animation team. I will bring the best memories from this trip. 1000 🌟 for Michael, Zan and Mimi.

This Hotel is NOT 4 star! If your English be prepared to be ignored or spoken to rudely! The place is full of flies and rooms are dirty with dirty linen and towels which they basically leave in room and won't replace? Yet they have a sign in room to say you will be charged for soiling linen! What a joke it's already filthy! The food is another joke there is same repetitive food and flies all over . No staff are helpful in this dining hall. Food gets cold due to mass queues. No plates or cutlery. Horrible options. Nothing is labelled correctly you don't know what is what and there is no Veg options if your vegetarian, 1 person was in our group I mean its 2022 and if your a so called 4 star hotel? The food was horrendous. The entertainment staff are over friendly.....as they are selling or promoting things to make money for Hotel. There is no bar at pool. The waiters only serve who they want. If you’re English count yourself out. The Rep came on 2nds day and was so rude to people who raised contact he told one women to shut it? He again was just selling excursions he didn't care about anyone. The excursions and massage staff harass daily to buy deals for days out or massage! They won't leave you alone Save your £ for better place and that is actually 5 star ! I won't be returning to Tunisia or Cooee President ever . Safe to say I was running out the place. Next trip will be Greece, nicer people and the 2 star hotels there are better than this place with better food , staff and facilities as well as welcoming people

Me and my family got back on the 6th of September 2022 we was there for 10 days the food was TERRIBLE no hot water, no towel, no toilet paper, no WI-FI "only in the reception area". The staff was great Zan aladin & Neena. The pool area was dirty and dangerous infact I felt few times very slippery my towels and my kids arm bands got stolen we reported it to the reception we got told they was going to investigate and replace them but was forgotten! The beach bar was a shed no alchahol only water and coke and was warm as there wasn't no fridge in it! If you want to lose weight go to COOEE PRESIDENT IS AMAZING FOR WEIGHT LOST!!

Myself and my family have returned today from this terrible place. We spent a week in this hotel and have very few good things to say about it. We arrived mid day and upon arrival reception staff spoke very little English and gave us little to none information about our room, facilities etc. after spending a few hours at the hotel we complained to reception and requested a hotel transfer which was not an option and we were moved rooms despite paying for a bungalow room we weren’t even given the option to view one. Food/drinks The food at this hotel was basically inedible. No options for English guests other than fries that were surrounded by flies. There were more flies within the restaurant than there were outside. We ate out of the hotel every day we spend there after viewing the food they had to offer each day. The bar nine/ten just a two minute walk from the hotel had beautiful food and would highly recommend. The drinks menu within the hotel consisted of about 8 different drinks of which 3 were actually drinkable. Rooms The first room we were shown was an accessible room which was dirty and bathroom facilities were too high for children to use. There was also rust on the floor of the bathroom and the bed sheets were stained. We were then moved to a second room which was slightly better but still not “4 stars.” Beds within the hotel we’re also hard as rock and has left me with an aching back. Also I don’t think there was even a point in providing maid services and they just made beds without changing the bedding once during our stay and gave clean towels. Staff Staff were mostly lovely although spoke very little English which made communicating the issues very difficult. Facilities The facilities within the hotel were just awful there were two pools one of which was green and due to this I didn’t even bother going in, Lifts were broke so used stairs every time to get to our room, Shower in our room was broke and leaked every time we used it, every sun bed was broke, reception never had money to exchange causing you to have to walk 10 minutes in scorching heat to the cash point, the list goes on and on. Location The hotel is located across the road from the beach which was nice however there is absolutely nothing else there other than a theme park that blasts music till 5 am. There is about 5 restraints outside the hotel nincluding bar 9/10 which as I have mentioned was a lovely bar with lovely food and staff. There are a few shops that sell typical holiday items and that’s about it. Awful hotel. Will not be returning pictures on the internet are extremely outdated and do NOT represent the actual hotel. Save yourself any disappointment and don’t stay here!!!

We've visited Tunisia in late August 2022, and we've had a seven night stay at this hotel, hence I'd like to review it, but not just the hotel, but the whole trip and experience as a whole. I'll start with the hotel because this is the point of interest on this platform. In terms of our room, the hotel was relatively clean. The cleaning staff dropped by daily and a few times even during our presence in the room. I found that a little strange because we had our cards inserted (there's a system where you insert the card attached to your room key and it activates the electricity and technically it should also announce that you're present there and don't need the cleaning staff to enter). There might be some flaws about it. The pool was also extremely clean and the food and buffet services were extremely well taken care of, cannot complain about that. The whole staff needs to be tipped off though to get the full package, that's worth mentioning. We noticed the difference once we started doing that. The one thing I completely hated was that we initially thought we were getting WiFi but instead only the reception had it. We changed rooms, paid extra, and got moved to another side of the hotel extremely close to a nearby nightclub. Unfortunately, the whole experience got negatively affected by the fact that we had extremely loud music playing from the nightclub literally every night until three in the morning. By the first night when we had learned this, I wanted to switch rooms again, but we decided to try other ways, and went to a nearby pharmacy and bought ear plugs which completely solved our issue. This was a big issue though, and a huge downside for the hotel, and several people in our group complained even though they were much further from the music than us. The hotel though cannot do anything since it's not part of their property. Nevertheless, a problem that shouldn't need to be solved by the customers. As for the food, you get served an enormous amount of food. We personally liked the food, although there were always too many people all at once so we had to pick very carefully our moment of joining the meal. I've heard various opinions about food, but I suppose this is subjective. We were very lucky with the watermelons because we ate that at literally every meal. People are extremely wasteful of food though, literally people left behind more food they didn't eat than what we took and ate. Basically, 60% of what people took, got left behind and thus wasted. This is ridiculous in a country that's so poor. Generally, people from that culture got this terrible habit of literally taking ten dishes of various things and creating a smaller buffet on their own table. Quite desperate to be honest and left us a bad taste of education and manners. In terms of behaviour, the staff was extremely kind and nice. Nonetheless everyone expects some sort of tipping, but considering the poor living standards, you kind of feel their need and tip them anyway. But even without that, everyone was kind and helpful. Huge plus on this side. Though people thorough Tunisia, outside the hotel, are all trying to get your money one way or another. Someone tried selling us painted rocks pretending they're diamonds of some sort. And people just throw things in your arms and expect you to pay them. Very careful with this. For instance, our worst experience was right at our arrival, when some guy took our luggage and then just raised his hand for us to pay him. That was annoying because we didn't yet know how things worked. As for the trips, they're extremely amazing and totally worth every penny. We took a run with the quadbikes, camels, jeeps throughout the desert in Sahara and so on. Take all they offer you in terms of trips, even if we were a little disappointed with our guide in the Tunis trip, since he just let us visit ourselves and waited for us at the bus. But we caught the sunrise in Sahara, we stayed in a quality place with great food, and everything was well organised there. Really loved the Sahara trip so definitely take it since you won't get another chance (since most people choose to never visit Tunisia again). As for the country itself, it's completely shambles. This was the biggest shock for us coming from Europe, especially the first day or two. Everyone is extremely poor, everyone tries hard to make ends meet and the living standard and society are dreadful. A lot of garbage everywhere, people selling chameleons on fishing rods in the middle of the day on the side of the highway, thirty year old cars, extremely chaotic traffic and so on. Most of the buildings were half finished, looked dreadful and it's basically a country that's extremely left behind. People were generally unemployed, extremely poor, and making ends meet with side businesses on the side of the road. So be prepared for a shock when arriving there. As an experience as a whole, we really liked it. We've seen a lot of amazing sights and the trips definitely were the turning point of this whole holiday. Don't visit if you don't plan to go on the Sahara trip or even the Tunis one. The price was decent for what was offered, but nonetheless it's not a place we're planning on visiting any time soon or ever again. It's the kind of bucketlist thing you want to check off and move on. Perhaps the country will develop more in the following years but right now it's still a huge shock from anyone coming for Europe, at least.
