Food always lukewarm not hot. Plenty of choice except breakfast, no catering for UK so it was ham cheese on stale bread with a cold boiled egg, yoghurt. Plenty of Waiters not enough servers so big queues for some dishes and usually ran out of clean plates. Also sparrows would fly into restaurant, nothing was done about it. I didn't see any with little nappies on so I can imagine where their poo went. Hotel not gear'd up for Brits. The rooms like the whole hotel looks tired more like 3* than 5* bathrooms really dated beds ok. No private beach anyone can walk on but beach looked more like a dump with piles of building waste, littler, and dog mess on it. The water is beautiful and clear. The section of beach next door shows it can be made nice if they wanted it to be.
The location of hotel is on the edge of Hammamet a good 30min walk to the harbour. Be careful because you get harassed as soon as you leave the hotel by people wanting you to buy stuff or say they work in the hotel to try convince you to trust them about doing a tour or go to their shop.
Most people are nice but only do official tours either by hotel or cheaper to call tour company 'didon tours' is the one we used either via trip advisor or book with them directly over phone via WhatsApp.
Speaking of which no roaming over here for me so kept phone in flight mode and used WIFI and WhatsApp. WiFi at hotel was OK but hit and miss when hotel full over weekend.
First time to Tunisia if I came back I'd look for hotel that caters more for European people than local. It does feel more like a business hotel than holiday hotel. Maybe more central too.
We came here February so maybe they tidy the place up for summer I'm not too sure.
Finally if you like a drink take advantage of duty free at airport and bring to hotel to boost your drinks you'll drown before drunk otherwise. Local alcohol is nice but weak.

We were booked into this hotel as part of a package. All in all it is a lovely old resort. Our room was shabby and bare with a wheezing AC that struggled to keep up with the July heat. (An admittedly poor choice of time to visit Tunisia. )
However the grounds are lovely and well kept. There is a huge, well appointed lobby and bar. The main pool is surrounded by umbrellas and chaise lounges and there is an outside bar. If you search toward the back and the side of the property there is a quiet covered pool surrounded with olive and palm trees.
The buffet dining was uninspiring but with many selections. There are some à la carte restaurants with better food. Plentiful snacks and drinks
The staff is attentive and accommodating. Day and half day tours can be arranged.
If we were to come back it would not be in the summer and I would try for an upgraded room.

A lovely hotel to stay at with a great pool. Food choice was excellent which varied each meal time. Yes, as some have stated, the hotel is a little dated but it is clean with the rooms serviced daily. A short walk to the beach (beautiful white sand) where there is a bar but only soft drinks available if all inclusive. You have to pay for alcohol or food here. Back by the pool we didn't have an issue finding a sunbed and here you can get alcoholic drinks from the pool bar. I think we were the only English staying here but the staff spoke English. A short taxi ride takes you to the local shops and marina but have to say we were not impressed, the locals can be rude and the stench from all the horses was not great. Overall if you want a good value relaxing holiday with lovely weather and with a flight time of less than 3 hours then come here.

It was our worst stay. The beds were torn and dirty, dust and dirt everywhere. There was mold in the bathroom. The toilet leaked, our air conditioner also leaked. The amateur repairman repaired it by turning it off, which was really great at 35 degrees. The behavior of the staff didn't help. They already wrote in the arrival forms that we are of Russian nationality, we are Czechs. We discovered this by accident while exchanging money at the reception. After the warning, there was zero apology, rather they were having fun with it, and on top of that, the annoying team of would-be animators shouted provocatively at us in Russian. Food disgusting. Small selection, no taste even if you have all-in, so drinks for breakfast are 2 chemical juices, 1 watermelon juice, 1 tap water. For lunch and dinner you have to ask for it, and the staff walks between you and pours when you want a second glass, they are annoying. 2dcl glasses and cups are ready for all drinks. The sea is beautiful, but the beach is not maintained and dirty. After finding the glass in the sand and alerting the staff, we were told "it was a tsunami". In the beach bar, you pay extra for everything except basic drinks. The pools were also not maintained. Avoid this hotel, it's a waste of money.

Facilities was very good as was the amazing buffet breakfast and dinner which I had.

Yet there were a lot of cons.

1) There are no wifi in the rooms and if you have bought local sim card with internet theres no good signal.

2) Almost nobody speaks English .

3) 0 Information at the check in or in general, you gotta go around find everything on your own. Where the pool is, the beach, what time is the breakfast or the dinner, where is the restaurant? And also you gotta search for your room they don't tell you where it is.

And the worst one THE AIR-CONDITION,was so noisy that you couldn't sleep! I informed the reception every day since i checked in they simply didn't care. They were saying that they are gonna check but they were just lying they did nothing about it.

5 Star for being a beautiful hotel.
2 star at customer service and staff in General.

This hotel is definitely not a 5* but more like a 3* one. The lobby is very good, staff is polite, food (especially dinner) very good as there is something for everyone. However, it is being advertised as having a private beach (it does not), looks like a labyrinth (it takes ages to get to your room), there are many pigeon-like birds so you get that certain place at places (especially the rooms not looking at the court side), the state of the room is awful (there is a big bed but very poor quality of linen and towels) the bathtub is too tall so it’s difficult to get in (I assume old people will have accidents) unless you are over 1.75cm tall. In general the hotel is outdated and definitely not a 5*one.

Alhambra Thalasso is really nice place to stay if you decide to go to Tunesia. It has a great location. The beach is only a few meters away and it has several pools if you're more of a sweet water person. The food itself is quite good, but for me as a vegan it was a little difficult. But I wouldn't look at it like something bad. I guess vegan cuisine is just not that common here. What I like most about the hotel though is it's staff. Everyone is just so kind and helpful. Always nice to chat with them. All in all, I can really recommend this spot for a vacation.

Hello. In response to Your question, I want to say, that this hotel is very loyal to the clothing of guests. Tunisia- is a Muslim country, so there are a lot of tourists in burkini. However, I did not visit the indoor pool, which belong to the spa-complex, so I can not say anything about it, but I think, that there should be no problems.
