We stayed at the hammamet Gardens Spa for 9 nights, we arrived to a very quiet resort just emerging from Covid lockdown. The global restrictions have impacted travel and this can be clearly seen in guest numbers. From arrival the tone was set, we were given a room with a pool view and we were not disappointed to wake and see the beauty around us! At first sight the grounds looked like they needed some attention and boy did they get it, the groundsmen and domestics worked tirelessly to prepare the grounds that were waking from a 3 month slumber. The staff.... what can I say! Bashir and Wassim are fantastic in the restaurant, on the first nights dinner my little boy wanted ice cream... the hotel was waiting for delivery so Bashir went to the local shop and bought my son an ice cream! I was humbled by his kindness. We didn't have to ask for anything, Wassim and Bashir were attentive to our every need! The chefs created beautiful food for us, they knew my son by name and took pleasure in feeding him, Tofiq in particular knew just what my son would eat and how he liked it cooked! Ali and Chadi that worked the bar were fabulous, they simply wanted to ensure that we were taken care of during the days by the pool and boy did they succeed, in baking 33 degree heat they would provide us with all the drinks we wanted, always with a smile and a chat, nothing was too much for them, and having read previous reviews it can be seen that this is how they are whether the hotel is full to capacity or just opening for the remainder of the season.. The animations team led by Sied were brilliant, Angela who worked with the children in Mini Club was fabulous, they made my son feel so special, nicknaming him 'The Boss', Angela even managed to get him up dancing! Sonya on reception was attentive, she is an asset to the hotel, always ready with some local knowledge or advice on where to visit! The hotel has a section of beach that you can get to by taking the FREE minibus from the rear of the complex, when we went, word got back to the hotel that we may have been charged for using the beach loungers, WE WERNT but the hotel staff were furious, the owner even asked us! They simply cannot do enough for you! The 9 nights that were there were the safest I have felt in any resort anywhere else in the world. We were welcomed wherever we went, even in the local supermarket, I have travelled to many countries but never have i experienced a welcome like it! Tunisian tourism has been hit hard by the Covid 19 pandemic but as a country they managed the pandemic perfectly, there are temperature checks when you enter the airport and masks are required while you travel. For a glorious but short time we were allowed to forget about Covid 19 and its affect on the world! Well done to all at The Hammamet Gardens and Spa resort, you made our holiday special and we WILL be back!.. PICTURES TO FOLLOW

Ok we was here back in January this year for only 1 week and loved everything about it, this time we are here for 15 days and we absolutely love it here the hotel is our place to relax and unwind, Sonia and the other reception staff are always on hand if you ever require anything, Chadi and the rest of the bar staff can never do enough for you, the restaurant staff from the 2 mangers, waiters and to all the chefs well done we have never had such great food in a all Inclusive hotel before. The pool areas are extremely nice to relax around and the grounds are always immaculately kept the gardeners are always doing something, the last time we was here I only rated as a 4 star as so.erhings required tweeking and updating well now I feel so happy to be able to rate it a 5 star as these are well on there way, alot of rooms have been or are being refurbished. When you are here please book some trips from Chorki and ask him to have Frouze do your tour I can not rate Frouze high enough he goes up and beyond for you! more people have got to see this country. Dont forget to pop outside the hotel and jump into a cab to Yasmin hammamet or Hammamet medina there great places to grab bargains, yes be prepared to be asked to look into there shops etc but this is a huge part of there culture we found it very intimidating our first trip but I love it now you have to haggle for everything and be prepared to walk away they generally will go to your last price never pay more than 1/3rd of what they are asking for the item. Also a small but very handy tip before you get out of the cab turn your wrist bands over so they can not see what hotel you are staying in as it will stop the "im a waiter / chef from your hotel" con trick to get you into their brothers shop. But definitely come and enjoy this great hotel its fantastic value.
