Wasn’t sure what to expect as know many hotels have struggled to keep going with the lack of tourism during Covid and although there were some obvious maintenance issues, they were minor and didn’t detract from our enjoyment of this grand hotel in a beautiful setting. The rooms were a little dated but comfortable and both our family rooms (there were 5 of us, 3 generations) had lovely views. Food and drink was plentiful, water and towels provided daily. The pool area was lovely and activies were arranged daily. The most impressive aspect for me was the staff. They all bent over backwards to help with anything, issue, request or advice. Probably never had a more accommodating staff anywhere. The spa, animation team, bar and restaurant staff and bedroom staff were excellent but Sonya on Reception was superb! She absolutely couldn’t do enough to help and enhance your stay. Had a really relaxing holiday.

Travelled as a family of 5, 3 generations. The price of the holiday was ridiculously low and I was so worried especially for my parents. Fabulous stay, however there are some things that the hotel can do to improve; * Selection of fruit is very limited - melon and watermelon. Yet markets are full of bananas, grapes etc. * As a vegan this diet wasn't much understood but I did anticipate this having travelled widely in Africa. Having said that there was ALWAYS lovely salads available, couscous, rice etc. * Yes the area outside the hotel is run down. Genuinely unsure what people expect; Tunisia is an extremely poor country, and it has been decimated by the loss of tourism through COVID. Work is going on to improve and it will improve but they need money coming in to complete these works. * The tours need to be better advertised, including in English and the operators less pushy. The pirate boat trip, Tunis Medina day trip and quad biking were all OUTSTANDING trips. Highly recommended. The hotel staff are OUTSTANDING. The waiters, the wonderful animation team ( Linco and Tef especially) and particularly Sonia on reception made our stay outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Any issues dealt with immediately. There was always something happening, table tennis, volleyball, aerobics. The evening entertainment has been a bit repetitive but towards the end improved massively as hotel numbers increased. Arabian/ Tunisian night or similar would be great. The pool area is just beautiful but may need a few more beds as hotel numbers again increase. We had rooms 206 and 213 both were beautiful, fresh sheets daily, air con, water everyday, and towels daily, cleaning staff were lovely. All in all, for an African resort we thought the holiday was brilliant. You can't come from a country like UK and expect the same standards of living to apply and if you do you need to address your ignorance levels and manage your expectations frankly, we all know a week in Cornwall would cost far more than what you're paying for a week in Hammamet. A beautiful hotel. Outstanding staff. Unbeatable price.

The hotel was very nice and most of the staff were great. I'd seen so many awful reviews about this place and was regretting booking the holiday but we were welcomed and looked after from the get go. The food was sometimes questionable, when asking what meat they were serving everything was always chicken (although I've never heard of purple chicken before), it was still edible and usually quite nice, the entertainment team were great, Elmi kept coming to see us throughout the day and see how things were going, Angela was very polite and friendly, I didn't get the names of the others but they were all fantastic. A few bad points though, the guys arranging the excursions could be pushy which was annoying getting stopped every morning going to breakfast or when we would be sat by the pool, the quad bike guy just wouldn't take no for an answer, he even dropped the price massively the day before the quads had been arranged for and after saying no several times he finally gave up, until the next morning when he started again while I was trying to get to breakfast, it was only after I raised my voice he gave up and luckily I didn't see him again. Talking of excursions though if you do any make sure you take water with you on the camel ride as none will be offered until the 3 hours is up, the massage was a very different experience to how I imagined my first one would be, I still can't decide whether I liked it or not. The pirate ship should be mandatory for all guests, it was such a great experience and one that won't be forgotten. Also there is no tobacco or cider over there, we literally never saw either so if you're a smoker take your own tobacco from home or buy it from duty free before going otherwise you'll have to stick to normal cigarettes, luckily they are very cheap over there so it's not the end of the world. The photographer was always around the pool with his camera, he was warned several times not to take pictures of one of the girls from behind while she was unaware as this kept happening, he sold some pictures to the same girl and sent them via WhatsApp, he then started sending inappropriate messages to her and continued after we got back home until his number was blocked and deleted. I wish I'd put a formal complaint in but I was so angry I would have ended up kicking off on someone who's fault it wasn't and it would have spoilt things for us. The showers were very substandard, one second they are pumping water out as you would expect but then they would go down to a mere trickle all while constantly going from hot to cold, the WiFi didn't work in our room but worked fine in the room next door. The beer was incredibly weak, if you want to feel like you've actually had a drink try the bottles instead. Also watch out for the mats on the floor as you walk outside to the pool area, there is no grip and I nearly went flying a few times. Back to the good points, when we complained our complaints were dealt with immediately, the waiters were friendly and there is an older gentleman that works in the poolside bar, he was always smiling and could not do enough for us, he deserves every tip he gets. Even the room cleaners got creative with how they decorated the towels and stuff in the room, and there was free bottles of water left in the room every day. Also being English we were lazy and didn't bother learning the language, most of the staff could speak at least some English while others were very fluent so that was extremely helpful, I wish I'd tried harder to learn the language just out of respect for the staff. Obviously the area outside of the resort can't be helped by the hotel but considering the hotel is quite nice the area outside the hotel is a dump, piles of gravel and trash lying around, half destroyed buildings etc, also the shop facing the hotel gates was charging double for cigarettes compared to the shop about 2 buildings to the right. There was also some very pushy people trying to sell flowers and tissues in the street, most would accept no but there was some that would not stop. Make sure if you buy suncream its from a chemist as we were told by a shopkeeper that the stuff he sold would not protect us as it was basically fake, the sellers at the markets were very pushy and be prepared to haggle on everything, if you name a price and they don't like it you should walk away, they will usually come down to your price if they think they are losing a sale. If you find a cash machine make sure you use it as cash payments are more prominent over there than here in the UK. Also flies, they are everywhere and extremely annoying, again obviously not the hotels fault but they constantly land on you and your food. There is also a nice restaurant if you turn right from the hotel and cross the road and head down the road for literally a couple of minutes if that, its got a big olive tree in the front seating area, we went there for a change one night and it was very nice food, big portions and very cheap, definitely worth a visit if you fancy a change from the hotel. All in all it is a nice place and worth a stay, you can tell some of the staff really want to make it a good holiday for the guests, so all I would say is show respect to the staff and tip well, I went there dreading staying there but I was extremely surprised at how nice it was and how they looked after us, I would definitely visit again.

The hotel was more than we were expecting when we booked a rather cheap package deal to Tunisia, as we were going in a group of 8 with varying budgets we needed something to accommodate all. The hotel is a big hotel with lots of space and activities (a little shabby in some places but to be expected after being shut for 2 years due to the pandemic). The staff are amazing the reception staff, dining staff, animation team, bar staff, cleaners and maintenance all welcome you smile all day and go out of their way to accommodate you. Honestly some of the most genuine staff around you don't feel like their just putting it on because its a job. The hotel may look like its in the middle of nowhere when you arrive but ask at reception about taxis to the marina or the old madina (both 10 mins away about 6-10 DNR in a taxi) these are bustling touristy areas with shops/restaurants/picturesque spots etc you will find plenty to do if you didn't want to lay by the pool or beach all day. In summary: *Great staff *Big hotel with lots going on thanks to the animation team (elmi, angela, sieaed etc) *Good location (when you get your bearings) *Drinks are good they even give you big bottles of water so you don't need to go to the shops and drag litres back with you (all inclusive only) *Food is alright there will always be something you can find to suit but its not the best (we ate out a lot and I think food in Tunisia in general wont suit fussy eaters so not sure if this varies much between hotels) *Rooms are nice if not a little dated, with good views for most of the rooms *Great hotel for the price you pay I would expect a lot less and was really really happy with the entire experience would definitely go back.

this hotel could be a good four-star with a bit of work good reception, pool. staff {except for one rude waiter in the dining room who was reprimanded by the manager} bad food very little choice and had to take back regularly as well undercooked entertainment although as not many in hotel maybe understandable gym nothing working and very dirty drinks were ok but glasses very small any shorter and we would be asking for beer shots lol rooms are clean but need a bit of updating showers and bath in shower water goes everywhere as curtain no good so floor as lot of water bath is very deep and narrow so you have to be very careful getting in and out to shower all in all could be easily turned around and be put right they have very good and helpful staff but that could be because the hotel very was empty so they werent under pressure

From the staff at the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff, our stay was as we wish to be. The location was convenient, not to far from the airport. Our room was really nice, clean and comfortable - I could have stayed for weeks! We also found some "surprises" during our stay (pic. above). The staff was very kind and helpful – always a smile and eager to help.  Sonia was sweet and always provided great service. They had a fantastic buffet in the restaurant with many choices and different foods every day. The pool and around the hotel is pleasant to spend time. If you travel to this part of the world, it is an absolutely amazing place to stay. Highly recommended.

Hammamet garden, well we had a rocky start with cold food but after complaining things improved 10 fold. We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sonia on reception addressed our problems and Elmi kept us entertained. Can't wait to come back.

Where to start , definitely not to visit in Ramadan as everywhere was closed . We booked this holiday as the hotel was rated 4 star ? and with all the flumes etc we didn't need to leave site so our Grandson would enjoy the break ( photo 1).On arrival we found this pool empty and not likely to be filled until mid May (other photos) at the earliest .We enquired about the mini golf, but they only had 2 clubs . Like the previous review ,my wife is gluton and dairy free and there were no simple foods available, despite being told no problem .Alot of the same dishes not very hot .Even our grandson resorted to eat bagattes to fill himself up. Early season so the evening entainment was very limited . Woke one morning to no water. The WIFI was something else as you had to check which one of the 3 to use. The constant harassing for trips daily .Luckily we only stayed 5 nights . The good points ,all the staff were a credit to the hotel and its management, always friendly and greeted us with a smile every day. From Sonia on reception to the cleaners and the bar restaurant staff and the animation team. Sorry we won't be back as sometimes the management need to understand the importance of treating 100 guests the same as 400 ,if you want people to return and to spend money before the season starts on basic tidying up areas .

I stayed here with my husband and 4 daughters, and our best friends, for 1 week from the 9th-16th April. The pool is lovely, as is the main seating area however, sadly, we were so disappointed with the food, and it actually affected the whole holiday. I would say the food was more of a 2 star standard. Very basic, only fruit available were oranges across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pretty much the same food was available at lunch and dinner. The only meat available that looked like steak was actually liver steak. There was fresh orange juice available at breakfast which was always enjoyed. Breakfast became our favourite meal, a tired fry-up was available however you could always choose omelette or pancake. We found hair in our food on 3 occasions, food was generally warm not hot. We had paid for all-inclusive however the choice of snacks between meals were painfully substandard. The choice was: ham sandwich (hard bread) in clingfilm, oranges, a couple of times mini cakes appeared. With regards to drinks, the only mixer available with the alcoholic drinks was squash. There was one 'cocktail' available (with squash) which was difficult to finish. Beer was in the all-inclusive. Overall we made the most of it however I wouldn't return.
