I stayed here for two sessions of four weeks in January and February 2018. This is a huge hotel and was fairly empty when I was there. All in all very good indeed, with very friendly Tunisian staff, but a few things were a little bit slow. Breakfast was okay, and meals we mostly yet in the external restaurants. I would echo the comments about the taxis outside the front door. Rude, aggressive and three or four times the price of the official rate. The hotel really should do something about this. Walk 200 m up to the main road and flag down a normal taxi (they are the same taxis with the same type of meter) and insist that the driver uses the meter. Due to the time of year the pool was too cold to use, but I had brought a wet suit and wet swimming in the sea, which is also cold but just about bearable. Really nice to be able to go out for a run in the morning on the beach. Next door to the hotel there is a swimming pool and leisure (indoor) which was excellent to be able to have an indoor swim. My only significant complaint is that the security staff are briefed not only to check for security issues but if you arrive with any food or drink in your bag they will try to confiscate it to make you buy things in their restaurants and bars instead. You can get round the back if you know where you're going and avoid the security, which really doesn't help convince that the security is of any great value. It is a while since I stayed but I do recall that the Internet was generally okay in the room.…
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel especially felt previous reviews didn't do it justice. It is excellent value for money! The decor is tunisien and has that homely North African ambience. The indoor heated pool was a nice treat in this winter month and the hotel spa offered reasonably priced treatments of high quality standard. The breakfast had a wide range and tasted really delicious. I can't fault anything in this hotel and would highly recommend it. This amazing hotel sealed the great time we had in Tunis!
Had my wedding here on the 1st of November and stayed in the hotel with my family and guests for a couple of days. An absolute beautiful location, excellent food and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and calm and everyone enjoyed the hotel the fullest. Truly the hotel was like a dream. I recommend this place immensely to every European planning to visit. Two small negative points: in some rooms the drinking and the fridges were not filled + the taxis waiting outside the hotel. The taxi driver waiting outside are rude and agressive people who charge every 4 times more expensive than it should. The hotel should do something about this as has a negatife reflect on the hotel. I suggest everyone to ignore these drivers and go on the road and stop a driving taxi driver there.
I ended up staying a week on a business trip. The good things: Food in the restaurants was very good. I had the buffet one night and that was excellent. Food in the other restaurant was good. The staff were generally helpful. The hotel was clean throughout. The internet worked well enough for me. The bed was comfortable and the room quite large. And the bad: The air conditioning did not work. I was told it was turned off for the winter season. But the weather was hot and so was the room. The taxis outside are dishonest. Best to walk up the street and get a metered taxi for a third of the price the ones outside the hotel entrance ask. When I left, I had to have a taxi called. It was one of the dishonest drivers who asked 40 Dinars for a ride to the airport. I negotiated down to 25 Dinars, but that is still 3x what a metered taxi would charge.…
Expected much more from my 9 day stay at this Hotel resort. Hotel Staff were not friendly at all and waiters around the pool were rude and looked for any reason not to return your change. Beds were rock hard and the WiFi was average and did not reach all areas of the hotel . The hotel works with taxi drivers outside looking to rip off any foreigner , they refuse to on the taxi meter saying it’s broken or only for locals
