Have been going there for many yrs. Brand new dock & sitting area. Owners are friendly and the prices are good. We would and have recommended this place to anyone coming up there to check out. You can't go wrong
While walking to our room there were two guests smoking marijuana outside. The only smoking policy is that there is no smoking in rooms. Beyond that nothing is noted. My wife is asthmatic and asked that I inform the owners. I went to the front office and advised the male owner, his response was that he would not say anything and for me to confront the guests. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! As a business owner it’s his job, not mine, to speak with guests. His wife was not helpful either. They lose my business and get ZERO stars! Do not give them your business and go with a customer first motel.
This is a Wonderful place and Prime location. The inn is right on the water... new docks and a brand new waterside patio being completed for the summer season. A very clean and peaceful retreat. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The owners, Dennis & Debbie, are amazing people and they went out of their way to assist us when we had issues with our boat. Thank You!
His motel is a few blocks off the main drag down a suburban street. So, if you are looking for a quieter location, this motel will fit the bill. The owners are very nice and friendly. The motel is two levels and does not have an elevator, so I requested a 1st floor room. The proprietor told me that it was a handicapped room, I asked him what did that mean and he told me that it had handrails in the bathroom. That was true, however, it was a large step up into and out of the tub. The shower was good and plenty of towels were provided. To accommodate a wheelchair, the bathroom was quite spacious. The beds were not great, but I slept fine. The two chairs provided were down right painful to sit on. We were told no coffee service was provided due to Covid-19. If you are looking for a place that provides a breakfast, this isn't it. On the bright side, there was a round table in the room making it possible to share a meal with my son. Also, there were lot's of TV channels available. We stayed two nights. We left our room at 10:30 a.m. and left the "maid service" request on our door knob. When we returned to our room at 4:30 p.m., we were surprised that the room had not been cleaned. Check-out is at 11 a.m. A soda machine is on-site outside the office. The motel has a dock, so if you are traveling with a small boat, this may be the place for you. This is a non-smoking motel, but it didn't stop guests from smoking right outside their doors.…
The owners were very accommodating, and the room was exceptionally clean. The inn is centrally located and a short walk to the heart of Alexandria Bay. The grounds were very nice and we will definitely stay there again. Thank-you Marie G.
Nice place and you can sit by the water and relax. The boat docks are under construction so made minor adjustments to our plans but nothing major. Staff was very pleasant. It is hard for any business to follow all of the changes in covid.
Not bad to stay here, rooms are dated but service is good. Owner's are very nosy, constant supervision/presence is almost too much. They have a beautiful dock and you can see your boat from your room. Which is nice.
For the money it's a clean and comfortable spot. Friendly and informative staff. The rooms are right out of 1974 but I was pleased with the room. Bed was good, bathroom clean, room tidy. I would stay here again.
This was our second stay at this motel. This year something seemed to have changed. It was not as friendly as I remembered from last year. The room was okay, the bed very firm and uncomfortable. The owners are on site 24/7. The husband was friendly enough and seemed to try to make things work. The wife borders on sarcastic to rude. The location is convenient if you have a small fishing boat or inflatable as the motel is located on a canal leading to the river. There are no coffee makers in the room but you can get coffee in the office. If you're looking for comfort and conveniences this is probably not for you. There are other motels in the area, close to downtown with more amenities and affordable if that is what you are looking for.
The proprietors, Dennis and Debra, were so warm and welcoming. They provided us with local maps, suggestions and discount coupons. The motel is in easy walking distance to downtown A-bay, yet quiet and private. There is a boat launch next store and docking right there. The rooms were basic but very clean. You can sit outside your room or the small yard and patio. I would highly recommend this place if traveling to A-bay.
