The Rock Ledge is a cute mom and pop motel. Our room was large, clean, well equipped and quiet. The location was well enough away from the main road and we had a great night's sleep. The grounds were well maintained and the overall environment was very pleasant along with the friendly and welcoming owners!
We visited the Thousand Islands for my wifes birthday weekend in September this year and chose Rock Ledge Motel for Fri/Sat/Sun nights. The owners were very kind and attentive to the facilities. The rooms were very clean, the place in excellent physical shape, and the beds were quite comfy. It is so close to Alexandria bay, barely a 2 minute drive. The shure-fine grocery and liquor store are about a mile away. The motel was full to capacity for the weekend and the nite time quiet was quite reasonable. So many places to see and things to do in Alex bay and Cape Vincent. The Boldt Castle tour is great, Uncle Sams boat tours of many durations. Best breakfast spot is Rileys by the River with a 3 egg omlette that can feed a small family. I am a chowhound and it fed me for two meals, Also supperb coffee and friendly staff that work hard. Many great shops to stroll through for browsing if you are into shopping. Up the road at Fishers Landing is a great restaurant "Foxy's" with a large menu, great river views, and overflowing customers during friday night dinners. Get there early!! We totally enjoyed our stay at the Rock Ledge Motel on this getaway weekend.…
We stayed in one of the cottages. It was very small. But, the room was clean, the staff was very friendly and the location was great. It was a great value for the money. I would definitely stay here again.
We loved this place! We had a beautiful view of the Waterway, Marina and the Boldt Castle! The location was perfect and we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. We loved our patio with chairs and table for our happy hour drinks and snacks. The furnishings were great and we had plenty of room. Would definitely recommend this place.
A very good independent hotel that is guest-focused, Very comfortable room & A/C. Only minutes from Alexandria Bay tours, restaurants. Room was well maintained. There was no evidence of deterioration as you might find in some independents. Host were "good people." I'd recommend a visit to nearby Clayton - not as busy or honky-tonk as AlexBay
