This really is the best value for money hotel in central Rayong!

I opted for the corner suite which was absolutely stunning and actually a lot nicer and definitely a lot cheaper than most of the 5 start hotels I have stayed at over the years.

The staff here (reception, bell boys and executive lounge assistants) were all amazing, super helpful and really friendly. I was genuinely surprised how they all went out of their way to interact with and accommodate my youngest son. He felt like a rock star!

The roof top infinity pool offers a spectacular 180 degree view of Rayong and offers a nice place to relax in peace.

Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is my third stay at this hotel. Overall it is very high quality, the staff are courteous and friendly and the rooms are large and spotlessly clean and look new. Breakfast has a good range and is what is to be expected from a hotel.

I stayed in a suite which had a large lounge room as well as a separate bedroom, it was a truly excellent room and I highly encourage an upgrade if you are staying for more than a couple of days.

The location is next to a shopping center but otherwise there is nothing else worthwhile within walking distance other than a small night market. While Rayong isn’t exactly a tourist destination the lack of things to do close by after work means that without transport you will be at a bit of a loss. The shopping centre should provide everything you need though.

The upper level restaurant on site is very average, I would recommend eating elsewhere.

Other than that recommend this hotel for the excellent staff and cleanliness. I will definitely be returning.

The Lunar New Year dinner was amazing and felt so elegant. Ammy and Best are very attentive in the evening meal service, and chef Chaim made sure all the made-to-order meals were perfect. Other staff members are also very kind and kept tables clear regularly, special mention to Pat and Tukta!
Weekend and Holiday meals are definitely a must do. I also received a discounted rate for dinner because I reserved my table ahead of time!

THE POSITIVE = Super clean room, very central location, truly superb Indian food and breakfast.

TWO BIG NEGATIVES: One .... I made the reservation department's management (=Khun Mai) aware of a super critical Zoom meeting at 7PM and the need for robust speeds (in my Bangkok condo, I get 80/50). Holiday Inn Rayong said they were 10/10 which is a management decision to save money. In a 288-room hotel, if even 50% full, you're in trouble if their guests are all on broadband heavy Netflix, YouTube -- any video site.

The GM, Damian de Costa, wrote to me assuring me things "would work." He was right if you used their Internet Service Provider's (=ISP) Thailand website! Speedtest by Ookla seems to be a universally reliable website and it was well below 10/10.

Their I.T. team did increase my speeds for my meeting but that was a one-hour, in-room exercise which was avoidable had this hotel's location, and its management, had robust speeds for such a large hotel.

Two ... Sometimes, one can get a better rate than the hotel booking sites by calling the hotel directly especially in Thailand's low season. I did from 175 km away in Bangkok where I live.

The first reservation agent, Khun Pam, didn't have the English to handle my telephone call.

Her boss, Khun Mai, did have the English but after 39 minutes, I was frustrated. Surely, an internationally branded (and large @ 288 rooms) hotel like this one could have booked a room in five minutes, not 39 minutes.

They also required me to read my entire credit card to them on the telephone which (not sure!) is something one shouldn't do.

In business, we're all "selling our time." Between the Internet speed issue and the botched reservations department, I walked away frustrated and angry. I won't stay there again but some sort of gesture to acknowledge poor management would have been in order.

Both for in-room Internet and the initial reservation, I spent ~ two hours of my time. Shame on them as this is THEIR job, not mine.

We are committed to delivering high-quality service, and I would like to address the concerns you raised regarding both the Internet experience and the reservations process. Regarding the Internet speed, I understand the importance of a stable connection, particularly for critical meetings. Our standard speed of 10 Mbps for both download and upload is generally sufficient for streaming and Zoom calls. However, the hotel operates on a dedicated leased line with significantly higher bandwidth to ensure reliable service for all guests. After learning about your specific requirements, I personally arranged for your connection to be upgraded to 25 Mbps, and our IT team further upgraded your speed to 30 Mbps, all at no additional charge. Additionally, upon discovering that your laptop did not have a LAN port, we took the extra step of placing a USB-C to LAN adapter in your room to ensure a direct wired connection and avoid any potential Wi-Fi interference. However, this solution was declined. Despite the steps we took, the slower speed you experienced was due to the VPN you were using, which limited the speed to around 17 Mbps. Even so, we upgraded your speed to 50 Mbps, again at no additional charge and the speed tests without the VPN consistently exceeded 50 Mbps. Unfortunately, we have no control over the performance impact of third-party VPNs. Regarding the reservations process, I acknowledge the time it took to finalize your booking. The delay was not due to any language barrier but rather the complexity of the discussion. We are continuously working to streamline our procedures to enhance the guest experience. We regret that your stay left you feeling frustrated and appreciate your feedback. I spent the weekend at this hotel. The room was clean, the staff courteous, the hotel bar & restaurants were very expensive for the area, the location was poor, parkng a nghtmare, and the swimmng pool was exceptionally small with a distinct smell from factories in the area. On one of my nights, the fire alarm in my room went off and woke me up, the front desk indicated they would send a technician and when none had arrived after 10 minutes, the front desk indicates all clear without inspecting the room or offering an apology. Very disappointing. This happened again but this time in another room.

My wife and myself were staying for one week in March 2023 in a King-size Bedroom Suite with Seaview.
The room was large and very clean and well kept. We were up in floor 23, reasonably silent, definitely much so inside the hotel. We slept ok, the mattresses is a possibility to improve. Parking is indoors and never had a problem with it, is free of charge. The up ramp is a bit tight though for larger vehicles.
Furthermore, specially but not only for business, I would have wished an easy connection between phone or computer to TV (either wireless or HDMI) as it helps for watching movies off my computer or enlarge when working.
The inside blinds of the bathroom (glass front to bedroom) lacks proper thought: the only way to lower and raise it is on the side of the bath tub, not the door. Also, why would it also cover the entire door between the bathroom to the bedroom.. this portion could have been spared to keep access.

Breakfast is ok, the selection of cheese or cold-cut however is almost non existent. However, the remaining selection does cover a lot. Bacon though was missing. Coffee is good.

I think the by far biggest flaw that upset us one night is the absolutely unprofessional service, specially in the Brasserie restaurant. They were friendly, but that really was the only mistake they did not make: food came in wrong order (mains first, then starter despite advising otherwise), we had a family dinner and the delivery of the individual orders had a long time in between. Even with my own food (Indian), the rice came when my chicken was almost cold, and only after an additional reminder. Staff was not attentive at all, never saw anyone looking after us. Drinks empty, needed to go and get someone to help me. Mind you, we were the only ones in the restaurant. So busy was not an excuse. Language was neither, we had Thai people calling the order.
The Elementi service is better, but in an Italian themed restaurant I would expect the staff to know what an espresso macchiato is..and not say not available while I could even see espresso machine. Also, the filet steak is significantly overpriced, not acceptable what is charged for this rather small piece of meat!
Overall food quality is ok, nothing too exciting, but average.

Dear management, you really urgently need to fix this by training the staff, this is not an acceptable situation. And during our family dinner, we really were upset about the entire quality of service that night.

I would still recommend the Holiday Inn as a nice place to stay because apart from the restaurant and specially the service there it is pretty much the best place to stay in the area. With the view in the higher floors, the Elementi and bar in 30st floor and pool in 29th, (typically very quiet) as well as a gym it also offers relaxation. Just for the time being think twice about whether you would dine there.

This was an outstanding hotel and one of the best stays by far.
My husband and I stayed here for a month in Rayong city and the hotel was amazing.
The membership status gave us a room upgrade which was a suite overlooking the city and the sea. The room was lovely in design and very comfortable including the bed which was huge and the pillows so comfy. Excellent shower and other facilities. Regularly cleaned to perfection.
The gym which my husband used every day almost at 5 am was to his standards excellent.
The breakfast was a highlight. Every morning there was a change and so much variety of choice from Indian, Chinese, Thai, European, pastries, fruit, dishes of the day and so on. The staff here were also exceptional, so friendly and welcoming eager to speak English. Smiley faces in the morning is all you need to brighten your day.
The rooftop pool was also exceptional and one which we had mostly to ourselves the whole month, as it seemed quite a business oriented hotel with many travellers only staying one or two days. We loved it, swimming lengths up and down and reading looking out over the city. The staff here too were attentive and welcoming always saying hello.
The staff at reception were pleasant and especially the doormen who were always keen to know if we were well and where were we going, offering help if needed.
We didn’t use the restaurant or bar upstairs but I’m sure it would have been just as good.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough and would love to come back one day if we return.

i stayed at this hotel for 14 nights and highly recommend this place. The hotel has a great location and is connected to a big shopping mall with many eating, shopping, movies, kids play options and big department/grocery store. The staff at this hotel goes out of their way to make sure you feel at home. The hotel has the best restaurant at the rooftop with beautiful sea views and is open till late night. After work I loved the fresh air and the beer at this rooftop restaurant which has both open air and inside seating options. Food and breakfast was great. Housekeeping staff was always seen smiling and ensured my room was always spotless and fresh. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend as the best place to stay in this city.

I think you may need to call or send email to hotel to check. I think staff be contacted via call which is normal way for Thai people. Email is ok too.

I was there for a business meeting and my transportation was handled by the company. I'm not sure if Uber or Grab is available. You can check with the hotel about taxis. I wished I had time to go to the lounge, but I was caught up with long meetings. There's a huge shopping mall that's next to the hotel and you can get drinks there. Cheers.

Hi Cathy, You can hire a public taxi from the Bus Terminal to the hotel. As you disembark at the terminal, you will see the taxis lined up and you can take any one of them to get to the hotel.
