One week is not enough at Mangosteen. I could stay there forever. The resort is gorgeous with enough space to give you the privacy that you need. The villas are spacious and spotless and have everything I needed. The food and beverage offering is fantastic and everyday I looked forward to the next meal. The Ayurvedic programme was excellent and the doctor took time everyday to answer all my questions. I am very much looking forward to going back.

Thank you so much for trying our AyurYoga Retreat Program and for the wonderful review. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed it and had a good experience with our team. It is true that one week is the minimum recommended and normally, many of our overseas guests are staying longer. But we absolutely appreciate you spent one week at the resort and hopefully, we will see you again.

Me and my friend live in Bangkok and went on a 8-day Ayurvedic panchakarma detox. To flush all toxins and build up ama in our body. We had a fully guided and customized program for me and my friend who each have a different Dosha. The program we had was in combination of 2x a day a relaxing ying, hatha, vinyasa or kundalini yoga, we tried them all. The staff was so helpful, friendly and always ready to serve us with a smile! During an Ayurvedic detox the food is customized for what our body needed and was a healthy mix of different dishes each day.. of course vegetarian! But the kitchen serves more than Ayurvedic choices, if for example you come with a partner that doesn’t do the detox he/she can choose out of many Thai and International dishes. I came with a purpose; I had pain in my bones and hands, and although it’s not completely gone, since Ayurveda is not a magic pill but an improvement of your symptoms, I am definitely feeling 80% better. Less stiff, less bloated, less pain. I will continue with the doctors recommendations for the coming weeks to follow up at home, and I am convinced that in the end I will be pain free! If you have any health issues, I can wholeheartedly recommend Mangosteen resort and the residing dr. Subhash to help you find a plan to ease some of your issues.

Thank you very much Mireille! We had not many guests since March 2020, therefore also few reviews came in, none to be precise. It is therefore worth a lot for us to read yours and to know that even with reduced staffing levels and no guests apart from you, we were still able to deliver a full Ayurveda Panchakarma retreat. Glad you liked it. Concerning your health, please never hesitate to contact us again, especially Dr. Subhash, who stays in contact with all our guests, who have done the Panchakarma program. Any questions, you're always welcome to ask. Wishing you all the best, stay healthy, and for your new venture in Marrakech where we might come to visit from Munich, when it is possible again. We are now turning the Mangosteen into a full Wellness Resort and just became members of Healing Hotels of the World, an invitation to everyone here in Thailand to try it.

This resort offers wonderful food, service and relaxing surroundings for the more refined traveler. From the moment you arrive there is no limit to satisfying your every need. The bungalows are luxurious and stylish creating a very relaxing atmosphere with high ceilings and outdoor showers. The super king size bed and lounge area add great comfort. Each bungalow is surrounded by tropical gardens and have well lit paths to the pool and restaurant area. The restaurant is superbly situated above the pool and resort grounds giving views of the local islands and bays. The menu is overseen by long time executive chef “rod” and is of the highest quality of local and internationally sourced products. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner you will not find any reason to leave the resort, but if you need the urge to explore, the reception area has a great selection of excursions and attractions to experience. Phuket town, Patong, and most major attractions are within a 20 minute drive from the resort. The beach front shopping and dining district of Rawai is only 1.5 kilometres away where you can choose and have your food cooked for you, doesn’t come any fresher than that. The resort has its own wellness and spa centre catering for yoga, massage and dietary plans, it also has a fully equipped gym. The pool covers a large area snaking around the restaurant, pool bar and island all connected by bridges and paths. The pool area offers a great view of the bays and islands wether in the water or relaxing on one of the sun beds or lounges. In summing up this resort caters for those who wish to do as little or as much as you wish. The management team, house, restaurant and reception staff offer the finest of service and are more than happy to help you have the most wonderful and memorable experience possible. I have stayed here in 2018, 2020 and will be many more years to come. I personally rate this resort 10/10 Regards Martin McFarlane

Thank you very much Martin! Thanks for your visit and for the time you invested to write the nice review. It was nice meeting you and Leisa here at the resort, which is closed in the meantime. We are also very happy to know that you will be back and to see you again. Right now is a difficult time for everybody, Phuket is locked down as many other parts of the world are. We are using the time to work on so many things, hard to do when the resort is busy and we will of course be back again. Thanks again and we wish you all the best, stay healthy and see you again soon. Rose & Hajo.

We planned to stay here for three nights and extended to six, and we would have stayed longer (if not for COVID 19) The resort is an excellent mix of yoga retreat and relaxing hotel, you are able to choose how much of a retreat you go on as an individual, your party doesn’t all need to be the same which we thought worked really well. We were part of the wellness package with yoga twice a day and our food included. The yoga instructors were very good and catered for all levels, Kong was brilliant and we looked forward to her classes the most. The food was exceptional and their soups excellent. A full vegan buffet was lunch and dinner with the option of a meat/vegetarian menu which was always delicious, breakfast was one of the best I have ever had, ever. The pool area was lovely with an exceptional view enjoyed from the comfy floating bean bags, the only thing that occasionally let it down as the guy who worked there selling some kind of time shares to Australians or anyone else who would listen, his voice cut through the calm. Rose and her husband as well as all their staff were lovely and I would definitely return to enjoy a relaxing break again and recommend to anyone.

Thank you so much for the review, the 5 points and the recommendation. It is nice to hear that you liked our concept, the yoga, the pool, the meals, especially breakfast! What a pity you had to leave do to the Covid-19 situation, unfortunately everybody left at this time and we are now completely alone here. We will use the time to renovate and to complete some projects, already started before. There is life after Corona, and we will reopen soon. When the time comes, we hope to see you again, healthy and fit, enjoying your next healthy retreat! We, Rose & Hajo will be there as usual to make sure everything is fine.

Lovely place - so many helpful staff that are ever so friendly and polite. Just great to relax by the pool with a book or light cocktail. Or getting a massage by professional hands. Yoga instructor made sure everyone had what was needed before class started. Even when we returned from an outing the staff at reception checked if we were okay and offered water (sometimes flavoured) and if we needed anything.

Lovely guests! Thank you so much for taking the time to review Mangosteen with 5 points. It's nice to hear you enjoyed our service and the kindness of the team. We are going through difficult times, everyone is. It is now we can really experience the loyalty of the team and how we all stick together. It is a great pleasure working with such an amazing team and it hurts to see them suffering and to see few guests at the resort. The positive spirit however prevails and so, we will use the time until things get back to normal, working on many improvements. When traveling resumes, we will be ready and even better. Thailand's number 1 Ayurveda Resort is adding more Ayurveda facilities and a new menu with many new treatments. Thanks to all our guests for their loyalty, for coming back so many times and if you had to cancel your next visit, we know you are coming back.
