I stayed at the Serenity in the covid aftermath time. I think the room type does effect the stay - my review relates to the "Serenity room" type which is supposed to be an upgrade from the "palm" room. But it was probaby a downgrade. Hotel things: Mixture of residents and tourists, local resident cronies hanging around the pool etc. It's not really a beach. At lower tide you could get down to a sandy patch. Bit noisy at the pool - not that Serene. No evening food anywhere at the hotel, 6pm close. One of my pet hates, the menu prices excluded tax and service charge. Why can't they just put the actual price! Location, nothing around. You could walk up on the dual carriageway to a nearby coffee shop, or dice with death and cross it, to a nice Thai cafe opposite. Not many Grabs - taxi mafia controlling the gate. Rawai beach is cool but over 3km away. Mafia wanted 200 each way. The hotel took a deposit on check in with a card. Serenity Room specific things: The shower alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold. Would you like something in between? Never mind. The room was dark and dingy. Even with all the lights on and during the day I could hardly see how to make a cup of tea. The room was musty smelling. Generally quite old decor (inc lights, power, toilets etc). The double bed was (conspicuously) two beds pushed together No safe in the room! Good things: The wifi was pretty good. The view from the pool area was nice (but from the room was not). The pool was good. The gym was pretty good. The staff were nice. Would I stay there again? No, even with a better room, the location was not great. I couldn't wait to leave.…
We stayed at Serenity in a Seaview Suite the last 2 weeks in January. The suite was huge; ensuite bedroom with Super King bed, kitchen/dining area, lounge and large outside terrace. The location is stunning and we have fond memories of lazing in the swimming pool while looking out over Chalong Bay and the Islands beyond.
The staff have been friendly and the pool is great, the beach by the pool isn’t the nicest but there are some beaches around rawai that make up for it. The food is expensive compared to the rest of the places we have stayed/eaten and whilst our little room had everything we needed the bed has been very uncomfortable! We did let staff know and they put a couple of toppers on the mattress but didn’t do a great deal unfortunately.
Very good location overlooking Chalong Bay. Nice swimming pool with a view on the sea. Nice rooms and very helpful staff. Easy access to other locations in Phuket such as Nai Harn beach and shops too.
Quite hard to write an objective review in the context of the limited pandemic reopening . In line with most establishments in Thailand , many facilities like the restaurant weren't open , but thankfully the excellent pool was , which was well maintained and a good size . The room and the hotel / resort in general , was of a very high standard . I moved from one of the the Palm rooms to a deluxe one , and for the difference in price , this is the one I would recommend booking . The service was friendly , helpful , and very efficient .
I really like staying in the apartments at Serenity, or the seafront houses. I don't like staying in a hotel room for very much time, so serenity offers a good option to get a serviced apartment or villa. The staff were very organised and friendly especially with all the additional sandbox requirements which they were really helpful with.
I stayed at the Serenity Hotel in February of 2019 and it was everything I read about on TripAdvisor and more. After a week of scuba diving in the Mergui Archipelago, I was worn out and looking for a cheap place to stay near Chalong Bay. I wanted to sight see and do some more diving before going back to the U.S. The Serenity seemed perfect for my price range, less than $100/night. I didn't expect much, clean room and a close ride to the dive boat. However, on arriving I was treated to a level of service and professionalism that reminded me of stays at a Ritz Carlton or two in my time. "Pearl" in particular, was a very pretty and helpful concierge during my 4 days there. Everyone from the porters to the waiters and waitresses was smiling and helpful. I felt appreciated by the staff and they met all my needs. Arranging tours and cabs for me with a call and referring me to particular areas of interest for my photography desires. The food at the restaurant was impeccable. No need to go out in Chalong unless you just want to go out. The dinners were also fine dining quality. Superb plating and flavor. The waitresses were kind and always made sure I was ok. Again, I felt appreciated and my happiness was important. My room was very large, clean and modern. A minimalist style with flat screen TV and Egyptian linens. The walk in shower was like those you find in a custom home. Large enough to hold a convention in with black tile and chrome fixtures. Super Cool! Room service was available and the rooms were kept immaculately clean with fresh linens and towels every afternoon when I returned from a day out. The Serenity Resort is very central to most of the things I wanted to see. Not a busy place like Ranong, or, as wild and loud. It is good place to go to be relaxed and quiet. If you want to go hang out at Ranong's beach, its about a 20-30 minute cab ride across Phuket to the city. The staff at the Serenity will handle everything you need to feel safe and taken care of. Big Buddah is about 10 minutes away as was a Elephant sanctuary I visited. All my excursions were taken care of or recommended to my by the Serenity staff. All were excellent experiences. I enjoy scuba diving and underwater photography so I really liked the fact the Serenity was only 5 minutes from Chalong Bay and my dive boat. I spent a day diving in the Phi Phi Islands on four different dive sites. After a long day of diving, I had a easy ride back to my room, a shower, and a massage at the Serenity's spa. Very Ritz... So, if you enjoy being appreciated like a celebrity guest with a awesome room and fine dining on site, check out the Serenity Resort. It was exactly what I needed. Serenity.…
This was not my first stay at Serenity but I booked a suite overnight to surprise my husband on our wedding anniversary. The staff were FANTASTIC! They had a Whatsapp number set up and were quick to address any requests we had. The resort is quiet, and has a calming environment that is so welcome - especially during these crazy times of Covid-19! The room was really clean and the welcome message from the Management is a really nice personal touch. The mini-bar and facilities available are all you would need during your stay - with plenty of complimentary drinking water, as well as items to purchase (at reasonable prices). At breakfast they had staff inform us of the shuttle bus possibilities to get to the beach or to Patong (on certain days of the week). We were happy to simply relax and not go anywhere but this a good offering, when local taxis can be rather expensive on the Island. Overally, I would highly recommend Serenity Resort & Residences for anybody wanting to have a relaxing get-away. I only stayed one night (but this was only because we have our own house in Phuket to stay in!), but thank you Serenity. It was perfect and we will continue to recommend you to others, and I do hope Covid-19 does not damage your business too much during the difficult circumstances.…
We spent 2 weeks here over Christmas and we fell in love. The resort is full of wonderful staff very spacious and luxurious suites. The buffet is wonderful and the drinks are great. Plenty of lounges around the pools and plenty of helpful staff to assist with sight seeing. They also have a free bus that does different trips to drop off and pick up around phuket. We will be back in October 🙌🏻
This spot is one of our favourites in Rawai, particularly due to the wonderful pool, restaurant and bar area. The room we stayed in this time was a little dark inside and didn’t have a great view but was nicely appointed. Happy hour each evening with half price drinks and one of the best breakfast buffets we had on this trip. Great coffee included in the price not at an extra charge.
