We stayed here for 8 nights on our first visit in Patong. The hotel is really big with amazing outdoor space. The swimming pool is gorgeous, it is going around the hotel with huge palm trees and a pool bar inside!!! There is also a massage spot in the pool area where we had great treatment (and not expensive!). The rooms were a little dated but really spacious (we had a pool view). The cleaning service was very good! The breakfast had many choices and there was also an egg station with a chef who was preparing your eggs as you wanted! The location is really great!!!
Staff at this hotel were very helpful but the hotel itself was old and tired. Most of the guests were from Russia or Eastern Europe and were unfriendly and rude. On our last day we had a late flight but the hotel were unable to even provide a hot shower and a place to change before heading to the airport. This really is a basic necessity after a day spent by the pool or at the beach. The Hard Rock Cafe is across the street, so be ready for loud music till the early hours of the morning
We had a superior room which was disgusting, it was like a prison cell with a small window which overlooked a wall. I immediately complained and was offered an upgrade to a deluxe room with a balcony which overlooked the pool but was charged 175 pounds for 7 nights! Reception ladies very rude. On our fifth night I was in the bathroom and our sink collapsed luckily I was on my way out of it but still sustained a laceration to my ankle as a result of debris. We were immediately moved to another room along the corridor and offered apologies and a meal. We went and had a meal but were charged for it and when my husband told them we were offered it free they denied all knowledge of a free meal even the lady who told us it was free just sat there and ignored us! I tried to book a taxi at reception and was told they didn’t have any available but other people got them. We were treated badly and ignored by reception staff but other staff were lovely and friendly and all because we complained. Never again would I stay here and I’m seeking legal advice over collapsed sink causing me injury, AVOID!…
My husband and I stayed at the Baumanburi Hotel for 9 nights in total and I have mixed feelings about this Hotel. Check in was ok, staff were professional and due to us arriving 1 hr before check in had us in within 30mins. On first impressions the foyer of the hotel was clean with a nice looking pool. We were taken to our room which was on the 5th floor over which was easily accessible via a lift. The key for the room was on a very large tag which was inserted inside to turn the power on, which I have not seen for many years. The room was dated with wood furniture, large bed with a day bed as well. There was a small balcony which overlooked the pool. The bathroom was very dated with the shower screen being broken and paint flaking off the screen. To the rear of the Hotel was the OTOP bars and markets. The music on most night was very loud and did not finish until early hours of the morning with quests returning and could be heard through the thin walls of the room. This did not worry us but if you are looking for a quiet location this is definitely not the Hotel for you. Breakfast was very basic and really catered for non western quests. I never noticed a change on the days we ate there. We choose to eat breakfast outside of the Hotel due to this. Pool area was good but hard to get sun beds as people would leave towels on them in the morning and return later in the day. Of one concern I had to make an urgent phone call home and I was told by the hotel that they did not have to facilities for me to do so. I was not impressed with this and was offered no other alternative. Most of the staff where very friendly especially the pool bar staff who were amazing. Overall it was an ok stay with the Hotel needing an update. I have stayed at many Hotels in Thailand that are more updated and less expensive. Location is good but for me that was it.…
Just returned from my third visit to the hotel, most likely will be my last. I still think the hotel is in a great location, however, it is loud at night if you go to bed before 2am. But the hotel is getting really tired, they need to put some work into it. both common areas and in the rooms. Room: My bed was so hard I'd wake up in the morning sore. The shower door was nearly impossible to open and close. The whole regular key thing is getting pretty old too. It's attached to about a 4 inch hard plastic piece that's used to activate the power in the room. On that; I'm gone all day and the room has no power and no A/C. The housekeeper opens the blinds everyday and when you get back it's hotter in the room than outside. The staff are all really nice, so no problem there. For the cost I'd now pick something else.…
