Rooms: we stayed in a ocean view room on the second level, great size room, large bathroom with separate bath and shower, two air conditioners, large balcony, limited views to the ocean, but still really enjoyed our room. We had the best housekeeper she was lovely and really took care of us. Thank you Lek.
Only real issues for us is the mattress being very hard and not supportive. Also as the room is on level 2 it sits above the stage for the live music so it can be quiet loud at night.
Other guest that stayed with us stayed on the trip had a pool view room, they didn’t have any issues either.
The pool access room balcony looks very small.
The pool bar staff were great and prices where hotel pricing, beers about 145 and cocktails about 300 for memory.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant except breakfast but went down and had some drinks there and listen to the band who were excellent. Thank you Suraj he gave us the best service at the front bar, fast and efficient.
Breakfast was okay, buffet with great views of the beach and good food options, egg station. No avocado or Vegemite for the Aussies reading this.
Thanks your Alex, great customer service.
They have a tour desk, but we used minerva irendar who has helped us for 7 years with all tours and cheaper transfers, you just need to contact her via socials. She will look after you.
Thank you Mac at reception for looking after us keeping our room longer before check out, great service.
If you need anything see Jay, he is awesome, always floating around reception, happy to have a chat and make sure your okay. Thanks Jay.
No guest allowed, unless you want to pay 1000 baht per person, we had a trip of 11 and we had no issues visiting there hotels for free.

The hotel is big and spacious. Pool area is so relaxing. Staff in breakfast area are good but mani was outstanding. He went out of his way to help my husband's requests. I was observing him and he is diligent with taking used plates and asking everyone including us if everything was okay. So far he was the best server in your breakfast area. Thank you mani and all the best!

***Let me preface this review by saying that the staff and service at the pool, spa, and restaurants don’t apply to this review —they were all great and had really friendly staff! These three elements were the highlight of the stay.
The hotel itself is not as nice as it seems for the price. Rooms need updating. We got two rooms here and one of the rooms had constant maintenance issues: water wasn’t hot, electricity was being turned off, drains didn’t drain, and water was shut off abruptly one day. Understand that the hotel has to take care of the rooms, but they did it in an unfriendly manner. The staff at the front desk and concierge weren’t that nice. I can imagine they deal with many unhappy customers ...but that’s not our fault! Lastly, they made it a point to let us know as soon as we checked in that if we lose the key card or damage anything we will incur charges. What luxury hotel does this? Seems petty and a given.
I’ll sum up the experience with this: my mom was in the gift shop attached to the hotel and the lady said to her, “are you just going to look and not buy?” Rude, obnoxious, and unnecessary.
We booked Lamai because we wanted to stay somewhere different to support a local hotel and not a hotel chain.
Lesson learned: stay at a brand hotel that prides itself in the customer service.

We stayed at Baan Laimai Beach Resort for 7 nights in December 2019. We were initially given a room that is dated and dirty. There were ants crawling near the sink and the shower had black mould which I had to rinse off before I stepped into the shower. This room was nowhere near the standard I would expect of a 4 star hotel.
After we spoke with reception, we were moved to a renovated room 3 nights later once a better room became available. This room was much better and was more in line with a 4 star hotel. However, this room was much closer to where the live music band played every night, so it was pretty noisy.
Some of the staff at reception were warm and helpful. We also came across some who were rude and were not customer friendly.
The breakfast was pretty average. It was fine but there are definitely better options. The hotel also has a decent cafe (called Hern) and it was lovely. The spa (called Moontree spa) was quite nice.
The location of the hotel is great. It’s right opposite Patong Beach and made NYE celebrations really convenient for us. It is also walkable to Bangla Road and Jungceylon and Central Patong shopping malls. Note, however, the road outside the hotel gets really congested every day, so you will need to factor in plenty of time to get around.
If you had to book at this hotel, try to book a room with a view to the pool. See if you could ask for the ground floor as the balcony is just poolside.

I have been visited thailand (both Bangkok and Phuket) for quite a few times.
And to be honest, this was my 1st time had such unpleasant experience with a 4/5 star hotel (Baan Laimai)
As me and my cousin were experiencing below issues / incidents during the stay in Baan Laimai:
1. Old and spoiled bathroom’s window blind is not functioning properly. (Could not open / close and lift up/down),which caused no privacy to the guest whom is having shower in the bathroom. Therefore, contacted technician to fix the issue and made the blind remain as “closed”, but miscommunication between front desk receptionist and housekeeper , the on duty housekeeper came next day, go in the bathroom and open the window blind again which was unable to fix it back to “close” mode again.
(I have to call receptionist again to get another technician come up to fix the issue , my cousin and I have to stay inside the room and wait until the technician arrived at our room and monitor until the issue was fixed before we could head out for our activities and this had jeopardised our pre-planned schedule on the 2nd day of our arrival at baan laimai)
2. As i am using color shampoo during this trip, that caused the stain left on the hotel towel while i towel dry my hair. The hotel staff immediately come up to our room after we return back from outside and show us a receipt written with 500 baht. She requests us to pay without clarify with us whether the stain on the towel is it washable or not?
At that point of time, i felt like extorted , and really disappointed with the behaviour of the staff.eventually, after explained to the staff, and she tried to bring it back and wash. The stain is gone!
3. Apart from above issues, they are few nitty gritty issues that we didn’t feedback to the front counter ,such as the toilet flush which is not functioning well . The water keep flowing inside the toilet bowl non stop . Air conditioner louver ,produce noise when it set as “swing” mode
4. The sliding door lock towards balcony, is not functioning well. Needs to try few times in order to lock it properly.
5. Lastly, to save ourselves from hassle , we decided to book a taxi from hotel to airport at the front counter instead of using Grab .The driver engaged by the hotel was a reckless driver who speeding and over take the car in front dangerously without consider the safety of the passengers in the car at all.

Hotel is located in Patong central area and the beach is just a few meters away. the location cannot be any better but unfortunately during this covid-19 pandemic, all the shops, restaurants, bars and clubs are closed. Even the infamous, Bangla Walking Street, which is a walking distance away from the hotel, is so quiet that only a few are open for business.
Hotel room is spacious and the only setback I have is the water pressure in the bathroom is very low. Cannot really enjoy a good shower.
Staff are very helpful and accommodating. They even prepare my breakfast at 7am even though it is open at 8am.
The restaurant serve very good food.

During my holidays in Phuket, we had stayed at Baan Laimai Beach Resort in Patong for 4 nights. We had booked pool view room located on the 5th floor through makemytrip. The Resort is located bang opposite Patong Beach and many India restaurants are located close by. The Resort is very spacious with host of amenities including spa. The room was very spacious with King size bed and attached bathroom had both shower cubicle and bathtub. Complimentary breakfast was very good too.

The personal care shown by the staff far exceeded my expectations.
They were so attentive to any requests or constructive comments. In particular I made a comment about the bar stools being inappropriate for seating at the bar.
To my complete surprise, the following day, 2 stools were replaced specifically with more appropriate stools showing a level of care which I rarely see.
In particular I must thank Mr. Kanisorn and Mr.Sompong for being so attentive.
Their foresight echoes the general staff attitude at the Baan Laimai and it made for a great stay there where it was so apparent that they care so much about your experience.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending the Baan Laimai based on the fact that the staff and the property maintain a very high standard of care.and presentation.

US style is not available. But you can easy to find the plug adaptor in the supermarket around there. I bought one only cost about 70THB.
I am not sure they have but they have large rooms
Yes to hair dryer. The usb was on the bedhead. There was shampoo, toothpaste toothpaste, razer, 4 bottles of water every day. I was in a deluxe room. Don't know about other types but all rooms have been refurbished due to covid.
We didn't stay at this hotel BUT we had dinner there every night (10 nights)
Food is wonderful. Good options Thai and western. They have happy hours for drinks and the meals are beautifully served. The staff are very attentive and professional most speak English. I looked at the accommodation and it looked nice. Remember a place like this you will never be in your room as there is sooo much to do. The location is central and will definitely stay here next time.
