After visiting Phuket numerous times we chose the Baan Yin Dee after Recommendations and as soon as we arrived we where blown away by the amazing resort. We were greeted welcomingly by Boom and his team and our luggage was taken to our room as we checked in, this was simple and hassle free, we where given room 301 WOW this had pool access and was perfect for us, large and very modern. The room had a beautiful view of the sea and the cascading pools, we where celebrating our anniversary and everyday the maids made the room even more beautiful with flowers, towel art and decorations . The beds where large and the room had a walk in shower plus a huge bath and separate toilet area, plenty of plug sockets for charging your phone along with a kettle , hairdryer, robes and slippers. The pool was so inviting, we spent many hours relaxing in the peaceful surroundings, the bar was well stocked and reasonable too, there was a shop 5 minutes away immediately left from reception which had everything you could need, really cheap too. We had breakfast included which again was very good, not a buffet, it was a set menu with lots of choices, certainly a great start to the day. The hotel is situated up the hill and the end Patong beach, the hotel will run you down to Bangla road I few times a day and bring you back at certain times, we walked it often but getting back up the hill takes some doing in the heat! Tuck Tuks are no more that 200 baht in any case so this was never a problem, we think the hotel is perfectly placed away from the vibrant walking road but close enough to when we wanted to go. Unfortunately we where there as the Covid 19 virus worsened world wide but we always felt assured and informed by the team at Baan yin Dee who kept us up to date with the ongoing situation. We will return to Patong when this situation has passed and would not hesitate in returning to this hotel as it’s by far the best we have stayed in for so many reasons, I would recommend it to anyone visiting if you can book it, it’s not huge a it’s popularity will grow as it’s so good. Thank you to all of the team for looking after us, we will never forget your support and look forward to returning in better times.

I review BYD as excellent which it really is as long as you understand exactly what you have booked. too many people read the good bits and gloss over aspects that might effect themselves. BYD is a boutique hotel ( boutique = small and uniquely styled ) therefore a 5 dot rating here on TA does not mean a 5 Star hotel it simply means that I found BYD to be excellent in its price bracket and we received what we expected from our booking. We were greeted with a smile at kerbside and assisted with our bags ( this may not happen to all guests it depends on the free staff at the time, small hotel means less staff ) Check in was easy and friendly and we like others were offered a room upgrade which we accepted with thanks. We had Room 102 which is near the reception and opened up onto a private terrace with direct pool access, yes into the water. Most of the Pool Access rooms are actually not, in most rooms Pool Access means at Pool level, and access is from a terrace to the Pool surround area, whereas only 2 rooms are directly into the pool. Now don’t get me wrong the other rooms only have to step 2-3meters to get wet, but understand what you have booked. Our room was styled like many you see in the photos with dark wood therefore at certain times can be dark, which helps to keep the room cool. Lighting is also dim and could be improved in the bathroom area. Our bed was King Size but had a very firm mattress which was fine for us as we party late and crash out more than just sleeping. The Pool areas are beautiful and your friends will be jealous of you holiday photos, stepped up from the main pool through various levels with many photo opportunities, although there are limited sun lounger some of which are near the road. Whist the road is not over busy traffic is going uphill at this point and at times can be distracting. Breakfast offered excellent choices, the presentation was good, and food hot. Staff are friendly helpful and willing to help, we loved BYD and would return as long as we could get a decent rate, do not expect a 5 Star hotel , mange your expectations and enjoy this Boutique Hotel option which is a few minutes out of the mayhem of Patong Beach. Oh and whilst it may only be a 10 minute walk to the beach that is on the way down, it is a steep hill and it would take a younger fitter person than me to walk back up.

Travelled as 2 couples and arrived Boxing Day. We were met by Tak who was quick getting us checked in which is just what you want after a 15 hour flight. We had previously requested rooms next to each other if that was possible and we had booked standard sea view room. On check in tak got us rooms next door but also upgraded us to a pool suite right at the front with direct access to the pool. Rooms are beautiful, spacious everything you need. We chose this hotel as we wanted something with traditional decor and it’s certainly delivers. The place is fab with stunning views. The location is perfect far enough away from the noise and busy streets but close enough to walk down or jump in tuk tuk. Hotel run a free shuttle bus down to the beach and back but also have their own driver who will take you anywhere you want to go. They put a NYE gala on for the guests with food at no extra cost and the food was lovely. The pools are stunning. I would 100% recommend this hotel and we’re looking at returning to Thailand next Xmas and NY and If were staying in Patong then we will book to stay at Baan Yin Dee. One last note all the staff are very friendly and are fantastic and will do literally anything you ask for. Absolutely loved everything second of our holiday in Thailand

Wow, wow, wow! This amazing boutique resort keeps blowing me away with it’s beautiful surrounds and staff. First of all I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could! The location is just a short distance up the hill away from the hustle and bustle of Patong centre and the resort is very beautiful. We chose a deluxe pool room and was not disappointed, our room was beautifully presented upon arrival and during our stay. It was very private and had everything which suited our needs. Breakfast was included and we had plenty to choose from to keep us going all day. We hired a scooter to get around, however the resort offers a shuttle service throughout the day with the drop off at the beach end of Bangla Road. Booking this resort has been a delightful surprise and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The small resort is not 5 star but any shortfall is made up for by the quality of its staff.
Like me, Baan Yin Dee is older than it once was but it’s still good quality and fabulous value for money.
You can always tell when a property has a great team of staff by the passion they have for looking after it. And at Bann Yin Dee there is never a leaf out of place.
The location on the hill is a benefit to those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Patong beach strip and many rooms at Baan Yin Dee have a view across the bay.
That said, the hill is a tough walk home so unless you want a good leg workout, catch a tuk tuk home.
A special shout out to Kong, Layla and Haan who were great hosts. Thanks for making out holiday a good one.
I read a recent review saying there was no shops nearby. There is a family mart about 200m away and a nice pizza and salad restaurant called Shine about 350 m away. But you will have to go to Patong for shopping and bar hopping.
Baan Yin Dee is probably the best value for money accommodation in Phuket.

Paul was a great guy, he upgraded us for our honeymoon stay. That was lovely. Also he was very kind. The room was spacious with a great big bathroom and with a good view over patong. We liked the big refrigerator. The pool is the highlight of the hotel with several levels.
Unfortunately the hotel is located in a dead area such that you are dependent on taxi or motorbike. The hotel's shuttle service to and from patong had very weird times (only once per day down to patong at 1pm and once back at 3pm). This should be improved. Who stays only 2h down in patong? The room was made mostly from dark wood which made the whole room very dark and there was not enough lamps/light to fully light up the room in the evening. Some find that cozy other find that depressing. The AC was old, loud and leaked multiple times. There were no mosquito nets installed at the windows. In general you can see the age of the hotel. The restaurant was a disappointment as this is highly advertised on the website with chef Max. It looked like Max was not there anymore (which is OK in times of covid) but then the website should be updated. Subsequently the quality of the food / Portion size did not fit to the price, i.e. overpriced. Quite annoying as there is no other restaurant in close range. As the pool is directly located next to the street, it is not the best to relax. During the night there are frequently loud animals in the area which can be very annoying given the old hotel is not soundproof. The view is good but not amazing given there are electricity cables blocking parts of the view.
Overall, compared to two other hotels we had in patong, we cannot recommend and it felt overpriced.

Next about your comment to improve, hotel area is a peaceful area and take time about 10 minutes to busy area (Entertainment area /Banla area ) hotel provide only one round trip transfer to the beach down area , we can add it more for the next future. Second the room lighting is not to bright enough according to our resort has a GREEN HOTEL Concept to preserve World energy in this case when customer need more bright lighting, our team can provide lamps to set up in room , however your comment is important, we will review and think more how to improve on this concerned. Air-condition had installed a spilt typed and loud, may be the level of air fan is high level, can adjust to low level , in case of leaking it could happened when guest opened the balcony door and turn on air con. Mosquito net set up, it is a hotel interior concept, by the way hotel room has electric mosquito repellents all rooms to supply. Thanks for your advice chef max on website, we will consider on it. Restaurant price, hotel also used a good ingredient meat and vegetables with hygienist with a big portion and offer a 20% discounted if compare with a local restaurant can be a bit price range different. Pool area we have front side and back side also, understand the front side close to the road but not often car pass by all the times, however you can spend to the back side far from the road Animal voice it came from natural effected especially rainy day , our hotel locate among the tropical back of mountain front of sea view, it could be happened. When our guest has a big trouble on this, hotel offer ears plug on requested. The electric wire blocked a good view , we understand and in the future Thailand government may develop it to underground, we also expect it to be happening also. Hotel comparison between hotel in town and hotel resort surrounding the natural wide and mountain, of course is different, we are regret that we did not reach your expectation that We are the hotel resort located on the hill and surrounding with the natural green and mountain and in front of a Patong Seaview. Really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is just stunning! Tak (and other staff I didn’t see name of) was very friendly in welcoming us and was happy to let us check in early and so helpful with the bus timetables when we needed an early start, they even let us pre order a breakfast box to take away. The pool access room (101) was perfect for access to restaurant and bar, not to mention jumping straight into the pool from our porch! The only down side of the room was noise from traffic when sat out front, but with the doors closed it was quiet. Breakfast was varied everyday, only complaint it was too filling! Would definitely stay here again ✅

Nestled in the hills above Patong Beach, the Baan Yin Dee is the perfect oasis from the hectic bustle of the town below. From the pool deck, the view of Patong almost looks tranquil (it’s not). The beach is a quick, 15 minute walk down the hill and it’s the cleanest I’ve seen it after two decades of traveling to Phuket. Be sure to check out the small open-air fish market in the early mornings at the bottom of the hill. You’ll see an eclectic catch of fish from the night before.
The accommodations are classic, rustic Thai. The dark, hardwood floors have a soft, satisfying creak when walking on them. The furnishings vibe antique and understated.
The restaurant is beautifully set, open Thai style and in the mornings I’d recommend the fried rice set. Service is super smiley and efficient.

Leaving 1 star as zero isn't an option! Please please avoid this dump at all costs. Myself and my partner are only home from staying there and tne hotel almost ruined what otherwise was an amazing holiday. As soon as we arrived my partner was bullied into immediately leaving a review, they said if it was done we could check in eatly ( we arrived at 10am). Our initial room, 304, was dirty with peeling paintwork. There was also a massive drip from outside the bathroom window that had rotted window frames. In fairness , after i complained, they did switch rooms for us to 301. This room was slightly better, very dated worn furniture, an uncomfortable bed and a very basic bathroom, with only a curtain to provide privacy for the toilet. On our 4tn day reception informed us that there was a coffee stain on the duvet cover caused by ourselves, they wanted to charge us £60 for this, we took it and paid to have it cleaned privately in patong. We were also told that if we didn't leave our empty glass water bottles in the room we would be charged. They actually went through our rubbish bins looking for said bottles. By this stage we were very on edge, we tried to get alternative accommodation but patong is extremely busy at this time of year. Reception staff aren't helpful or pleasant at all. The hotel is also full of cockroaches. We had a dead one in our room that cleaning staff failed to see for 3 days. Breakfast is extremely limited and not nice, although the female breakfast server's were the only pleasant staff we met. Overall a very rundown badly managed hotel, a real pity as the actual building and pool is beautiful. Good experienced management really need to be brought in to give this place a massive makeover! There are nicer hotels for the same cost in the area so my advice is give this place a very wide bearth!

Highly recommend. Amazing facilities and staff and very clean. The room is amazing and the air con in room is really good- had no trouble with bugs as seen in other reviews. The breakfast was so good and definitely worth the money ( can even have a floating breakfast for 300 baht extra). Location is a little bit far out of Patong town but they run a free shuttle bus in the day.

Airport shuttle is 800 baht, picked up in a nice comfortable SUV. Cheaper than Grab and much cheaper than the taxi companies at the airport asking for 1500 baht.
Hotel also provides free shuttle from hotel to Patong Beach and back daily. Costs 250-300 baht if you make your own way by taxi or tuk tuk.
