My girlfriend and I visited the hotel in November.
On arrival we got the best reception and we were allowed to check in two hours early.
The hotel:
The most beautiful hotel we have both ever experienced. It cannot be described in words.
What about Location puts it as the hotel writes 5 minutes from Patong by car, this is perfect because you get the opportunity to get away from all Patong's crazyness but at the same time you are close by if you want to experience something.
The room:
Clinically clean, comfortably furnished and large. In addition to that, we were sent a questionnaire before arrival which they could adapt the room to our needs. Including what type of pillows we would like (5 different types and hardnesses), what scent our bedclothes should have and much, much more.
Restaurant/food:
My girlfriend and I had half board, before we left we thought we might have to settle for breakfast. But after eating at the hotel's restaurant vista, we have not regretted choosing half board. Because the food there was extremely good and we actually didn't want to eat anywhere else.
The staff:
Throughout our stay, there has been nothing negative to say, on the contrary, we have received sublime service. The waiters at the restaurant were sweet and nice, and the cleaning staff equally so. The cleaning staff even offered to come back later if we only wanted to have the room fixed later in the day.
Overall:
This hotel has helped give my boyfriend and I the best experience of our lives. It is certainly not the last time we choose to stay here.
In conclusion, it must be mentioned that I/we mean every word of this review. Because if not, we wouldn't have bothered to spend time writing such a long review.

My husband's 50th birthday celebration in Phuket at the Avista Hideaway was an unforgettable experience, shared with family and friends. From the initial planning stages, the hotel's exceptional service shone through. Jagdish Patel, the Manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group, ensuring we had an exclusive area to enjoy the festivities.
Upon arrival, check-in was seamless, with the reception staff graciously assisting with distributing party favors to our guests. We hosted a memorable sunset cocktail party at Sizzle, flawlessly organized by the F&B manager, Ashish, and Jagdish. Abhi's attentive service ensured our guests had a fantastic time, promptly catering to their every need.
The staff at Tambu and Vista restaurants, along with our poolside bartender, AOF, expertly handled the diverse needs and requests of our large group, including the children. The spacious, clean rooms provided a comfortable retreat, and the hotel's convenient location, just a short drive from Patong, made exploring the area effortless, with the staff readily assisting in arranging transportation.
Overall, our stay at the Avista Hideaway was truly exceptional, exceeding our expectations in every way. The hotel's dedication to providing personalized service and ensuring a memorable experience made my husband's milestone birthday celebration truly special.

This hotel is for those who want a quiet resort location but are worried about Baton Beach and the city. The location was great and we were able to relax surrounded by lush greenery and enjoy the nature. To be honest, I personally prefer breakfast at Holiday Inn or American resort hotels, but the location is good so I give it a thumbs up. The facilities are not very hygienic considering the price and the rooms were difficult to use. The pool is not a non-smoking area so it was disappointing that there were smokers by the pool. The food in the hotel was just okay, but the price is first class so this hotel is sufficient for up to two nights.

There are some things about Avista Hideaway that would definitely match up to its 5* billing. Those things are the staff, the restaurants and the overall service. However, there a number of negatives that detract from its quality.
Staff: Wonderful, attentive and respectful people who cannot do enough for you.
Restaurants: Both the Steak and Indian Restaurant, as well as the all day Vista restaurant, serve up top quality food. We loved eating in all of these venues and highly recommend them, although prices are a touch steep in my opinion.
Service. The Buggy service is brilliant. Wherever you are in the resort, a quick phone call and it's picking you up within 2 minutes.
The Negatives: The reason I've dropped my rating to 3* is because of the condition of the room / terrace we stayed in. We were in block 15 which is the private pool villa suites. I could imagine 10 years ago these suites were stunning, the decor now however is tired and needs refreshing.
The walled boundary at the private pool is built from plasterboard which has split and broken and just looks very very messy and unprofessional.
There are some basic jobs inside the room that could be carried out to freshen up, such as digging out the rotting silicone around the bathroom / shower and reapplying it fresh.
These things, for me, take away from the 5* rating because you would expect such things to not just be left to deteriorate to such an extent. I think the Hotel Management would do well to ensure that room maintenance is more of a priority.

We recently stayed at Avista Hideaway Patong for 2 nights in what was supposed to be the most luxurious Pool Villa, and unfortunately, we left wishing it had been a shorter stay.
Our disappointment began immediately upon arrival. We requested a late checkout due to our late flight, but were surprised to be charged an additional fee. While the amount wasn’t exorbitant, it certainly didn’t feel worth it given the overall experience.
The room we were initially assigned was a far cry from the luxurious retreat we were expecting. Despite its size, the room was in terrible condition—dirty, worn, and clearly in disrepair. The photos we had seen online were misleading; the reality was a musty, cigarette-smelling room with bugs, situated in a basement with no natural light. We promptly contacted the lobby to request a room change.
The second room we were moved to was only marginally better, which was disappointing considering this was supposed to be the resort’s top-tier option. The private pool was dirty, the curtains were ripped and worn, and the bed was uncomfortable. The entire room felt sticky, and the floors were filthy. We had brought our own showerheads with filters, and within just 5 minutes of use, the filter was completely clogged with debris, highlighting the poor water quality. The outdoor bathtub was so dirty that we didn’t even consider using it.
The resort itself is quite expansive, but getting around was exhausting. Thankfully, the buggy service was efficient and quickly transported us to and from our room, which was one of the few positives. We dined at both on-site restaurants, and while the food was decent, the prices—especially for drinks—were high.
Overall, we felt completely misled. Despite booking the most expensive room, what we received was far from luxurious. The condition of the room and the misleading photos left us feeling disappointed and deceived. While the location near Patong Beach is convenient, we wouldn’t stay here again. Avista Hideaway Patong needs significant improvements, particularly in cleanliness and maintenance, to justify its pricing and the luxury it claims to offer.

We also regret that you were disappointed by the additional charge for late checkout. While we strive to accommodate our guests’ requests, we understand how this might have affected your perception of value. Stayed here over the New Year Period in 2024/2025 with my wife and 2 daughters.
Firstly, full credit to Matt who is the concierge at this establishment. Extremely helpful and I'd hate to think what the place would be like if he didn't work here.
I tried really hard to like this place, but I simply couldn't. For all the people that have written awesome reviews, either you have never stayed anywhere else, or you are an AI generated bot. I can't imagine any other reason for the gushing reviews, they are simply not accurate.
How this place is rated this highly is beyond me. It's as if it's been designed by MC Escher himself, an absolute maze to find anything - would definitely recommend bringing some breadcrumbs so you can find your way back to your room.
In terms of facilities, it just seems run down and not all that clean. Locks don't work in some of the rooms, and it takes a few goes for your electronic card to open your door - just things like that all around the hotel.
I think that the idea for staying at this place is that you're not meant to set foot outside while you are here and just use the on-site facilities and restaurants. For that reason the whole place gives off weird White Lotus type vibes. I can definitely confirm it's not that good that you don't need to venture outside.
The whole place needs a freshen up, you can tell that it's now a bit dated, there are no USB chargers in the rooms for example. Lighting controls in each room are just weird, I'm sure there is a consultant in Thailand who made a lot of money out of this hotel. The pool areas are okay, just be aware that is perfectly fine to smoke there, so if you like a faceful of second hand smoke it's a nice place to relax.
Rooms have balconies that you can basically see the person next door, so once again if you like the scent of smoke, it's a great place to spend the afternoon relaxing.
Everyone seems to rave about the breakfast - it's probably about a 5 out of 10 on a good day. Because they have tried to appeal to everyone, nothing is particularly outstanding. They could definitely benefit from narrowing the selection and improving the quality. As for the rest of the eating places on site, the general restaurant (Vista) is basically a cafeteria, and the two other restaurants on site have convinced themselves they need to charge extortionate amounts for steak or curry and rice.
Language barrier is also tough, you can make arrangements with a person at the front desk, and then go back the next day to have the exact same conversation as if you'd never been there.
If I'd paid half the price for this place, I'd still feel unhappy, and it's hard to believe this is categorised as a luxury Accor brand. Would I recommend this place? No way. I actually checked out two days early.

Excellent hotel, large grounds and nice swimming pools. Large rooms and beds in the room, could be cleaned more thoroughly of course, but for the good attitude of the hotel staff it can be forgiven. There were difficulties with the language, but there is a girl working there who speaks Russian, thank her. Otherwise, everything was organized at a high level. Breakfast was delicious and varied, adding to the pleasant moments at the beginning of the day. If we get the chance, we'll be back here again!

We had an amazing experience at Avista Hideaway Resort in Phuket. From the moment we arrived, the resort exceeded all our expectations with its stunning location, luxurious amenities, and top-notch service.
A special mention must go to Emmy, who made our stay truly unforgettable. Her kindness and attentiveness stood out, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Emmy’s warm demeanor and thoughtful advice encouraged us to go for a room upgrade, and it was the best decision we made! The upgraded room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of the lush surroundings.
The resort itself is a serene oasis. The infinity pools are spectacular, perfect for relaxation while soaking in the panoramic views. The on-site dining was excellent – every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the spa, which provided a perfect balance of relaxation and luxury.
The location is ideal, offering tranquility away from the busy streets of Patong while still being conveniently close to the beach and local attractions. The staff across the property were always friendly and attentive, making us feel completely pampered throughout our stay.
Thank you, Avista Hideaway, for an incredible experience, and Emmy – thank you for going above and beyond. We can’t wait to return and will highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Phuket!

We had an amazing time at the Avista Hideaway, we arrived at 8.30am and checked into our room just before 12 which was earlier than expected. A short buggy ride to our room (which was always fun!), we were in one of the pool access rooms on the river pool. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are huge! Lots of mod cons including a master light switch board on one side of the bed, lovely balcony area and beds always available around the pool area. We loved being at the river pool, Kaew was excellent. Very attentive and friendly, always working hard to keep the pool area tidy for guests and made the best cocktails! We did hear another guest complain that there weren't any towels (when they arrived in the pool late in the day) and that the cocktails weren't strong enough - I can assure you they are and we never had any issues with getting a towel!! Our rooms were tidied every day, it was a little confusing which bed sheets were cleaned or not, but that's a very minor detail We had breakfast on a few days of our stay, great variety and very filling. We also ordered room service a few times from the vista resturant which was great and always a quick turnaround. We also had an aromatherapy massage and a couples massage which included a scrub and a massage - we came out feeling very relaxed. It's the best experience and a must do if visiting this hotel. Local to lots of exciting places, great views and the hotel was always very well maintained - we loved our stay here. Would recommend to everyone.

Miss Emmy in the first reception hall is super nice. She has delicious butterfly pea flower tea. The first sip feels amazing. Lemon is added to make it more flavorful and taste better. There is also delicious coconut peanut sugar. The important thing is that in the hot summer, there were cold towels for us to wipe down. It was very comfortable to cool down immediately. The guy who helped us with the luggage was very strong. He carried three large luggages by himself. I really felt professional. It is located on a mountain, so it is clean and quiet. , making people feel comfortable and relaxed. The hotel communicates completely in English 💯. There is nothing you don’t understand. The key point is to be happy while staying. I recommend others to stay here. It’s worth trying.
