Simply fantastic on all levels. Ala carte dining with exception of breakfast is simply amazing. Food quality and most importantly choices are in abundance! Choice of five restaurants plus every bar serves different freshly made to order dishes. Drinks yet again amazing and that also includes Starbucks as part of your all inclusive package. Clean and very well maintained hotel grounds and beach that have probably the only in house coral reef in Phuket. Biggest praise must goes to staff and that includes every member of Marriott team. They are simply fantastic and genuinely very friendly. Our first visit to Thailand but we will back very soon. Well done team Marriott!
This is the first time I stayed in this hotel. The swimming pool is very big, and the children like it very much. The hotel offers free diving and boating. There are many activities every day. Thank you koji for your help during your stay. She patiently explained the facilities of the hotel to us. Also helped us book a car to the airport.
Hands down 100% best experience. For couples families children adults and young kids. Catering to all ages ranging from adult activities kids activities kids club, the kids loved the foam fest in the family pool as did we. We absolutely indulged in the breakfast buffet each morning and the selection of buffet for dinner as well as the entertainment. The fire show and Muay Thai show was an absolute hit. Daily kayaking and paddle boarding on the reef as well as the snorkelling. The whole family enjoyed it very much. Lots to talk about. Service above expectation, from housekeeping wait staff reception staff and bartenders. Exec chef acknowledged us and was very friendly. Concierge Oat was very attentive even before his shift ended, Toey our housekeeper was super friendly and accomodating as were the hosts of kids club who kept our children super entertained. Thank you Phuket Marriott Bonvoy at Merlin Beach. Can’t wait for our return! …
Wow!!! Mo did my treatment and it was great! The place is really beautiful, great environment, various treatments available. Price it a bit on the higher scale but for my opinion it worths it. I really recommend, as I had a great time and came back for more.
We had a wonderful 10 day stay at the Phuket Marriott Spa & Resort on the all inclusive package. The room was great, very large with a free standing bath, balcony, large king sized bed, bathrobes and bottled water in the room which is topped up every day. The hotel provides beach towels which can be collected from a stand by the pool. We did not struggle to get a sunbed on any day and there were always plenty available around the 3 different pools (this includes us not getting to the pool until midday, at which point there were still beds available). The all inclusive package included unlimited access to the A La Carte restaurants in the evening as well as access to the a la carte menus in the daytime at the beach grill and merchant kitchen. Across the 10 days we only used the buffet twice as the food in the a la carte restaurants was so good. We tended to book a table in the evening for the a la carte restaurants however they were often relatively quiet so this is not essential, and we never struggled to get a table anywhere. The service was sometimes a bit slow at the restaurants but this wasn’t a problem for us as we weren’t in a rush. The hotel also included free access to snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding which was a great addition. The beach is very rocky so would recommend having water shoes if you want to maximise the use of the sea and water sports. The hotel is generally quite quiet for a resort of this size. We also booked multiple excursions which collect you from the hotel lobby. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to friends and family. …
Staying in this hotel gave us a true holiday experience. The facility is beautifully located and has its own private beach. They have options for everyone - beach, large adult pool, large family pool, quiet lagoon pool; the hotel was nearly fully booked and free sun beds were not an issue at all. The family pool has enough kid attractions to keep screaming children away from the adult pool (kids are allowed there). The staff are nice and helpful. There’s enough restaurants, coffee points, ice cream outlets, drink huts, etc. to accommodate every taste and not feel bored. Breakfast options are diverse and quality is good. Our son is allergic to quite many things and they managed it well - thanks to the chef and his staff! Restaurant prices were not excessive. They arranged live music, muay thai show, outdoor cinema evening… but also small unexpected activities for kids - henna painting, face painting, sweet treats, foam parties in the pool… things were popping up here and there to keep guests entertained. The property is big enough to keep all activities private- no one is forced to participate or listen to activities’ sounds if not feeling up to it. They have lots of adult activities (would be great if those could be better paired with kid’s activities time wise, so that parents can participate while kids enjoy their Kids Club classes) and provide kayaks, paddling boards, snorkeling masks and reef walk shoes (crocks type). The pool and beach atmosphere is relaxing (no music). We think everyone will find their way to spend good holiday at this place. Our son loved the Kids Club staff and was visiting a couple times everyday. Their classes included lots of arts and crafts, but also sports and learning tours inside the property (they even have a butterfly zoo!). Rada and Aupun are just wonderful. Thank you ladies! Hotel rooms are modern and clean, although not too large. We asked for a suit upgrade but there was no availability. Giving 5 stars notwithstanding given all other aspects. The hotel is a 10 min drive from Patong. Taxi costs 250 baht (often slightly more to get back unless you take enough time bargaining). The hotel spa is fine; with family packages it turned out nicely priced.…
There's no need to explain much here, staff is friendly especially Bella, polite, and informative. The atmosphere of this place is elegant, giving a vibes of peaceful and at the same time you can enjoy a lively beach bar as well. The room is clean as expected. Breakfast is great, but could have more variety of food. Definitely will be back again!
Done quite a few all inclusives over the years, I would probably say this is one of the best we have experienced. We tend to head west from the UK this time of year to the Caribbean. The mix of nationalities/people was much more diverse, which led to a much more peaceful time!! We arrived really early 10:30am, obviously didn't expect the room to be ready. Anyway they took all the required information, said pop back in a hour. By the time we had a few drinks, lunch and wandered back the key was waiting. Really impressed. Rooms very standard, very comfy, plenty of room. To be honest we didn't spend a great deal of time in it. Well equipped mini fridge, hair dryer, iron/board, etc. This isn't an 'all inclusive resort', there seemed mainly folks on B&B when we were there. They give you very clear guidance on what is included in the package, if in doubt the staff were very clued up. One thing, they do ask you to sign for every thing, which you don't do in an 'all inclusive resort'. Don't worry about it, we didn't get additional charges to the room. The Ice Cream and Coffee shops were all included, which I was surprised at. Not a huge number of restaurants, but all were excellent quality for every meal. The upside of not too many all inclusive folks, is getting in the restaurants was so easy. Always book, but we were getting in easily on the same day. There's a booking desk at the bottom of the stairs from Reception. Drinks package was very comprehensive. I think I am now an official fan of Tiger Beer. The cocktails are individually made, certainly don't come out of a slush puppy machine. We found the Rum Shack on the beach was our personal favourite. The staff across the resort are so wonderfully nice and kind. I did use Google translate a few times and found it useful. The pool during the day is great, but we did enjoy the beach more. Keep an eye on the tide schedule, which are displayed widely, the sea was so nice.…
Myself and my wife sit here in our final 5 hours before our transfer back to Phuket airport! From the moment we arrived on Wednesday evening (15/03/2023) there are no words to describe how incredible this place has been! We arrived late and the staff set about getting us booked in, all the reception staff knew it was our honeymoon (amazing!) we were offered beers or tea as we arrived and after 12 hours of flying who says no to an ice cold Chang! We were taken straight to our room, the baggage guy showed us all the little bits to our room, how to use the safe, the mini fridge what to do for room cleaning/room service, everything. Such a lovely guy and we saw him again throughout our stay and never forgot our names! As we began to unpack our door was knocked and the staff had sent us a beautiful slice of local chocolate cake decorated with happy honeymoon! Our room has been made up with fantastic swan towels and happy honeymoon printed on coloured card on our bed and the mirrors covers in a bridge and groom painting. These little things just started us off to an amazing 10 days! The staff have done everything they can for us, the restaurant staff could teach the British how to serve food, big shout out to the staff at the merchant restaurant for seeing us every morning and lunchtime! The resort has a brilliant selection of restaurants all serving a vast array of foods, from western to Far Eastern then cater for everything and the food seemed to get better and better as our days went by. They theme nights for you to go to, our favourite by far was friday fight night on the lanes by the beach, a fantastic Thai buffet served while watching three Thai boxing matches as the sun sets over the sea, couldn’t ask for more! The bbq Wednesday was pretty awesome too that was served at the beach grill restaurant which overlooks the beach. Best place for drinks of an evening is definitely the rum shack on the beach, brilliant selection of cocktails, bar snacks and hot/cold tapas if you want it, very reasonably priced if you aren’t all inclusive. One slight disappointment for us was that the hotel really isn’t in walking distance to Pa Tong like we had thought (more our fault than the hotel!) however the runs 6 shuttle busses a day starting at 10:30am and last bus at 7:30 which takes you to the amazing Bangla Road and back within 15 mins! A taxi/Tuk Tuk to or from Pa Tong will cost around 300 baht so hardly expensive! While we have been here we visited green park elephant sanctuary which is about 40 mins from the hotel, while the hotel doesn’t organise trips they can point you in the direction of people who can sort them out and all for a fair price! We also visited the Surin islands for the snorkelling tour which was outstanding and we went on the Phuket half a day city tour which included the big Buddha, wat Chalong temple, the cashew nut factory, the streets of old Phuket and the mother of pearl jewellery factory. All of which were amazing places to visit, when you visit the big Buddha make sure you take a blessing from one of the monks, very spiritual place and the monks are incredible people! On our last full day (yesterday 24/03/23) I managed to stupidly leave my wallet in a Tuk Tuk, I realised too late and went straight to the security team, straight away they jumped to helping me, they were making phone calls and using their radios to assist us, I spoke with reception who sorted me out with a spare room key (no charge) and took my number saying they would call if they heard! Accepting the fact that my wallet was long gone I carried on with returning to my room, within 15 mins my phone had rang, the combination of the security team, the hotel reception staff and other Tuk Tuk drivers had found our driver and he was returning to the hotel with my wallet! Lost and returned within 40 mins!! If this happened where I live in the UK, it wouldn’t have been returned! Incredible work by all to help me out of my own stupidity! One very small inconvenience maybe was that on our arrival we were asked to put down a 500 baht per night deposit, this was not advertised to us when booking however as we booked through TUI in the UK the fault for this I’m sure lays with them, this is not the problem of the staff or the hotel as on their website, after we had looked it clearly states this! Anyone saying this resort is less than amazing is a fool! The food, the drink, the surrounds, location and everything is just incredible but what makes everything that much better is the staff! They appear to work night and day to give guests the most amazing time possible, they are dealing hundreds of people a day, they deserve to be shown respect and applauded for what they do! To all of the restaurant staff, the bar staff, the lads working around the pool, the cooks, the recreation team and the guys who run the ice cream shop THANK YOU! You are all a credit to the resort and to the Marriott! Without all of the staff we wouldn’t have had such an incredible honeymoon and made such unbelievable memories! Myself and my wife look forward to coming back and seeing you again as soon as we can!…
Hotel very good we like to stay here longer.thank you to Ana and koji. They did very well during our stay. They assist with everything for us and give us clear information surely we will come back because of these 2 girls.
