We had an amazing experience. The property is beautiful, very well maintained. Tried food at the Thai and Italian restaurants. The Thai restaurant had very good service couple with the best thai curries and a killer mango sticky rice dessert. The Italian restaurant had Chef Paulo whipping up a beautiful parma ham pizza which was loved by my partner. Overall, everything was perfect.
We brought our daughter(4yr old) and stayed at this hotel for 6 days. The staff are so nice and friendly! Polla, Corilina, Flim, Rda, Tan, Da and Wuji. Kids club got lots of activities! Lovely team! Highly recommended! The location is convenient with sea view.
Phuket Marriot Merlin Beach is a wonderful hotel at good location near patong without losing much serenity. K’Natalie in particular as the loyalty manager really made us feel welcomed with her great hospitality. The hotel has enough facilities and activities to keep you occupied when u not in the mood of going out. Only downside I would say is the soundproof of the rooms especially through the door. Otherwise, a Marriott resort definitely worth staying and I will plan to come back in the near future
The entire marriot merlin team has been amazing during our entire trip of 5days. From housekeeping, F&B, reception service, concierge, kids club, everyone is really trying their best to offer their best service to us, and most importantly it's from their heart. I would like to express my top gratitude to everyone in Marriott for making our trip so memorable and we will surely be back again very soon. Special thanks to Summer at front desk for making the check in and out process a breeze for us. Highly recommend Marriott Merlin to families (especially with todds) due to their half board and full board packages, less travelling outside of hotel and more time to have fun within the resort! Tips: do check out the external vendor massage services at the cliff right to the most left of the beach. Hearing waves crashing on the beach during the massage session is a heavenly bliss. The room looked like it's been recently renovated and in brand new looking condition (direct pool access room on the ground level). The food in all the restaurants are really top notch and I would specially recommend the seafood platter at beach grill restaurant for sharing between 2-3pax. Kudos Marriot team!!…
Me and my family had a great time, specially my kids at the kids club, all the staff was amazing, specially Carolina and Ann, thank you for the excellent experience, we will come back next year. Rooms were so comfortable and the massages in the spa were incredible. Thank you Marriot!
Really disappointing in this hotel and how Marriott is branding it as a family resort and spa. It was more of a overcrowded party hotel. The front desk was noisy and stressful and so was the rest of the hotel and pool area. The pool area had loud party music and the it was penetrating loudly into our room even with closed doors so we checked out from the hotel after 5 minutes. The worst thing is that Marriott didn't live up to the level of service that you would expect from their brand and 5 star status event though I expressed our bad experience. I even showed them my new booking at another Marriott hotel in Phuket but they refused to refund us for our 5 minutes stay. I've sent email to the hotel but no answer.
Excellent service, very friendly staff, especially Nok, Aey, Marina & Yok!!! We hope to come back soon. The atmosphere has been second to none and we have been made to feel very welcomed. Don’t hesitate to come here, it is worth every cent. We don’t have enough words to describe how beautiful the Thai people are. Thank you Marriott Merlin Beach.
Ma and fan were angels sent from the heaven's to relax us. No more needs to be said. Come here and ask for them. My wife is pregnant and they took such great care of her. At one point even the baby started snoring it was so relaxing.
Sadly, Marriott Merlin beach has been turned into a trashy TUI all-inclusive hotel. Binge drinking lager louts (boys and girls) plunge into the pool and swim up to the bar as soon as it opens at 11am. They spend the rest of the day drinking excessively, getting ever louder and more obnoxious as the day wears on. Fighting amongst themselves, fighting with other guests, and using obscene language in front of young children is the order of the day. The stewed drunks continuing their loutish behavior late into the evening at the beach bar The hotel was operating at high occupancy during our stay, with many package tour guests flying in from Europe for the Easter break. The staff to guest ratio was not sufficient to cope with the numbers, this was especially evident in the restaurants. It was not unusual to have to wait over 90 minutes to be served an evening meal. One evening, we waited over an hour only to be told the food we had ordered was not available. Junior and inexperienced serving staff are abandoned, left to bear the brunt of many angry customers, senior management seemingly disappearing into the night. I’ve stayed at Marriot Merlin beach before and had a wonderful family holiday. Would I stay again? Based on this experience, and with a plethora of well-managed, family orientated Phuket hotels to choose, probably not.…
