Travelers' Choice
Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa is located on the hillside of North Patong. Only few minutes away from the Patong downtown where you can enjoy night life and shopping. We have a plenty of great choice of restaurants and bars within the hotel grounds, really impressive and well designed pool areas over looking the sparkling blue sea of Andaman. All rooms type are fabulous including our Pool Villas, all well appointed and furnished in gorgeous typically Modern-Thai furnishings.

Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Diamond Cliff Resort and Spa enjoys acclaim for its cleanliness and well-maintained pools and rooms. Despite the varied opinions on room quality, with some offering spaciousness and stunning views, issues like dampness and the need for updates are noted. The amenities, including luxurious villas, pools, spa services, and convenient shuttles, are generally celebrated. Guests appreciate the resort's location near beaches and Patong, though the challenging terrain is a drawback for some. Service is often commended, although experiences with inconsistency exist. Lastly, the resort's value receives mixed reviews, with some concerns regarding cost transparency.

This hotel is an oasis of calm in amongst the madness & noise of Patong Beach. Its grounds, pools etc are modern and lovely to spend time in. There were usually sun loungers free throughout the day but tended to be those with little shade. Despite the pool notices there were a few people reserving the shadier loungers with towels & not showing up until hours later which is annoying at any hotel but thankfully not too many of these people. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially those in the Ocean View restaurant. They all try so hard to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping the room stocked & clean. We stayed in a diamond suite which was a paid upgrade & huge in terms of size but if staying again I’d definitely opt for a more modern cheaper room even if it had less space. Our room was a bit tired, needed some attention & smelt damp but not sure if it was the air conditioning that was causing the smell. Also needs more power points beside the bed for plugging phones into. There are a lot of stairs in this resort but I don’t feel unless you have mobility issues, this is a problem. We only used the shuttle when we had luggage otherwise we just walked without issue. We loved the location of Diamond Cliff, wouldn’t have liked to have been any closer to Patong as it’s very loud. Our package was via luxury escapes & excellent value for what it included.

The pictures do not do this place justice - it is gorgeous! We were welcomed with a coconut drink and a refreshing towel and got a free upgrade to a sea view room. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were approachable and very helpful throughout the stay. Both of the pools were fabulous with the waterfall pool having a bit more shade, a swim up bar and QR codes on the umbrellas so you can order to your sun lounger (I highly recommend the lemon and lime frozen Daquiri). The restaurants are lovely too - more expensive that some of the places in town but they do a few deals and its still cheap compared to Irish standards. There is a sunset bar above the ocean view restaurant which is lovely and not advertised much. The location is great for getting into town and to the beach its just a short 5 min walk down the hill. Nearby, I would recommend the Sea salt restaurant (also owned by the hotel) - great views and delicious food, the Massaman Curry is the best! If I had any criticism of the resort it would be that you can't get the welcome drink anywhere in the hotel, I would have bought this from any of the bars and on checking in you have to pay a deposit of 7000baht which i felt was a bit steep.

We stay in Thailand every year, and the Diamond cliff resort & spa was the complete 5-star package. Beautiful friendly staff and service, excellent comfortable room with amazing views of the ocean & beach right across the road. We loved the 2 pool areas, the water was perfect for a dip in the hot weather, and there was always an available sun bed to relax in and enjoy a book. Breakfast was also 5-star with plenty of fresh choices to choose from. A special mention to the Areerath (Rita) FO Manager, who looked after us and ensured we where comfortable & enjoyed our stay. It was our 10 year anniversary and she arranged for our bed to be decorated and a complimentary bowl of Thai fresh fruits. Such a nice surprise. We will definately be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing 5-star resort in the middle of Patong.

Diamond Cliff was an amazing start to our trip! A grand resort with beautiful views of the hills and ocean. Open air walking areas with beautiful pools and gardens! I loved the breakfast and the shuttle up the hill was everything! Great experience!

Approximately 45 minutes from Phuket Airport. As the name suggests, set on a steep cliff. Nice resort, set along Patong Beach. Stayed in the Diamond Suites. Smooth check in, clean resort with nice pools. Good breakfast, nothing extraordinary and everything fresh. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and 20-minute walk to popular (overrated) Banglor Rd. There is a small mall here too. Cost of meals have risen but you can still pick up local Thai food such as a Pad Thai for around 180-200THB (£4-£5). Exchange rates currently around 43 THB - lots of money exchange places on the strip. Taxi rank across the road from hotel. We hired a taxi for 1500 THB and visited the Big Budda (free entry), Chalong Temple (free entry) and Phuket Weekend market. Fake clothing are of poor quality! Stayed here 6 nights, lots of rain. Patong beach is across a busy road and had rough sea - been to better beaches tbh. Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have mobility issues as lots of steps and when it's wet even more difficult. Saw many people with bandages on knees and/or arm which was a concern. Moving onto Khao Lak next 🙂

This resort is set in a stunning location about 5-10 min tuk tuk to Bangla road which cost around B200 at night. Breakfast was excellent and the shuttle service is very good. However, room was slightly disappoint bathroom slightly dirty, shower curtain dirty and mold on bath mat along with dirty shower head! Not good enough for 5 star. Aircon also was an issue

We stayed in diamond suite rooms which were really spacious and comfortable. Service from the team everywhere was really good - polite and friendly. The resort is located about a 15 min walk to the Patong shopping / dining / bar areas, or a short tuk tuk ride. The property is on a hillside, so access to rooms is up a steep incline. This didn't bother us as we are quite active...they do however have golf cart shuttles that circulate for most of the day. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.

We had an enjoyable stay at this Resort in June 23 the staff were so accommodating and helpful, they just could not do enough to ensure we had the best experience possible. We were given a beautiful spacious room with a spa, however, it was located at the top of the steep property and as I am 80 Years old and have some mobility issues it was difficult negotiating all of the stairs. A short chat with Ticky (I think was her name) and we were relocated down to a lower level and much easier for me to negotiate. They call Thailand the "Land of Smiles" and I can vouch for that. All of the staff went beyond the call of duty, I would highly recommend this place to others and we will definitely return.

A lovely resort with spectacular views. Lovely pools with a wonderful spa. Daily breakfast was large and extensive. We stayed at New Years and could see all the fireworks across the many beaches and bays at midnight. Close walk to Patong Beach and walking street.

Last time I went to the Dimond Cliff Resort & Spa the service was ok and the room was ok with a not working tv so it was hard to see the shows. The pool was very very good with a waterslide, waterfall connected to the pool,2 little pools at the top of a staircase with a water fall in both of them and an ice cream place with these things that you hold on to and they have a little propeller that makes you swim faster. The breakfast is also ok with a a small pool next to it and the breakfast has lots of things such as Nutella, toast, bacon(if you can eat it),cereal. Across the road they have a very nice beach but, the waves of the beach can go up to 3+ metres! But it is very clean
