First time in Thailand by Phuket Sandbox and I really loved it. I stayed here for 10 days and it was such an amazing experience, my room was huge and clean, breakfast had a lot of choices. The facilities in the resort were well maintained. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Rita (Front Office Manager) was very helpful and kind. Hopefully Covid will over soon and i will be back with my family.

We had the pleasure to stay here for four weeks starting Sept. 7, Originally we booked for two weeks and another hotel for two weeks. After about one week of stay here we canceled the other hotel and extended our stay here to four weeks in total. Two main reasons. 1. The restaurant staff has excellent customer service attitude and willing to assist in all manners possible. We are vegetarians. Once the staff learned about it, everyday they will ask us what we wanted and prepare a vegetarian hot dish for us. There was plenty of other foods we could eat, but this special touch was unexpected even in a five star hotel. We like very hot coffee; we got it without asking. The German chef was wonderful too; so was the egg station personnel and all the service staff. 2. Diamond Spa. We were fortunate to get two wonderful masseuses, named Kae Thanaporn and Mo Patchara , working under the supervision of Ann. These two provided excellent services to us during our stay. We must have had about 18-19 massages each!! Wonderful experiences. There are many five star hotels in Phuket; it is the people working there that makes the difference Ask for them by name!!

I could have given this resort a 4 or 5, but sadly I can’t because of service and management that pretty much ruined my one day stay in their luxury villa. The aggravating problems started from the minute I arrived until I checked out the next day . Under the promotion I used, a 2 hour early check in was offered and a 2 hour late check out. I have 3 emails to hotel reservations to confirm this before I came . When I arrived one hour before normal check in the reception said no - wait one hour until normal check in time, . I explained the promotion and offered the emails, They would not relent saying it did not matter what their Reservation's department wrote - and they were not polite staff. After several minutes of back and forth, and my demand to speak to management, they finally relented ( keep in mind the hotel was hardly occupied.).. The the Air Con did not work in the main room of this luxury villa. After many calls and an hour wait the engineer arrived and said it was ok - wait 10 minutes. Two hours later it still did not work. More calls and more waiting until they finally repaired it, As a luxury villa it had a private pool and sauna I could not get to work. Staff at reception said just push the jacuzzi button - I did. it never got hot. Engineer later after the lengthy wait said the jacuzzi does not get hot - a cold jacuzzi. Two different times trying to get sauna to work - no success. Front office staff could not get it to work. So it took waiting for the engineer again. There were no instructions in the villa saying anything about the sauna or jacuzzi , and reception could offer no correct information. Other calls to reception about the mini-bar and promised call backs that did not come. After many unsuccessful attempts to contact management during this stay, they finally answered after dozens of emails just as I was packing to leave. They offered a free massage and hotel credits , but told them I was leaving and my mood was destroyed that I did not want to stay . I asked for a voucher and they agreed but only valid until the end of the next month. I plead for longer saying I could not use it in this time frame, and over and over they said NO! NO NO. THIS IS ALL NOT WHATI I WOULD EXPECT OR ACCEPT FROM A 5 STAR RESORT. My attempt to enjoy a relaxing stay turned into a nightmare that continued even after I left, My rating has sunk to a big zero,

Dear Khun Gerryhertzberg, Thank you for having chosen to stay at Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa and apologies if this stay did not went as smooth as your expectations. Our team is always focused to deliver above the guests expectations and we are very disappointed, we have not been able to make a memorable stay for you. Please allow me to clarify on the following points which you have addressed. Since your booking promotion was booked with a special condition of early checked-in 2 hours before check in time; this was a miscommunication between our front office and reservation team. It’s our fault, once our receptionist was aware of this information, she then consulted with Manager of Duty and your villa has been upgraded to 2-bedroom Villa which was ready to check in and taken about 10 minutes arrangement. The faulty of air-condition in living room was happened due to breaker tip. The problem was resolved by engineer team within 5 minutes and no further problem thereafter as confirmed by Front Office Manager and Chief Engineer. I am disappointed on the delay of service team and the problem of sauna which should not be happened in 5-star hotel. My apologies for inconvenience caused, I have addressed with concerned department, and ensure that this kind of incident will not happen again, also thank you for addressing this issue to our attention. As said, our Front Office Manager has been in contact to you via several e-mails with offering compensation and she tried to present herself of meeting up with you in a person but this has never happened due to your privacy. As a gesture of apology, management has offered a compensation voucher for you to utilize services at any time you feel comfortable and available. Of course, the voucher should have a validity period of using it, we allow maximum 60 days, meaning up to 30 November 2021 as we learnt that you are currently living in Phuket. May I clarify once again of services are included, see below: 1) Resort credit THB 1500 net, apply or food and beverages or spa in the hotel 2) Complimentary one hours Thai or Oil massage for 2 persons 3) Late check out until 18.00hrs, but you refused and chose to check out at 2PM Once again our apologies, and thank you for your feedback and we all look forward to have you with us again.
