This hotel is older but it's clean. Food mediocre. Same breakfast for a week straight and breakfast meats are not good. We paid $168 Canadian a night. The pool is really nice and the location is right in the center of the action. I notice the bars have shows outside but stop around 12pm. Still a little loud but hay, it's Paytong beach. My second visit to this hotel and I'll certainly stay there again.
We had booked a hotel room for 12 days, directly with the hotel on 27/9 2022 and the day before arrival we followed up that the room was ready on 24/2 2023. When we arrived they had rented out the room for 1 more day which meant that we then had to stay in another room until the next day before we could get the booked room, we wasted 12 hours of our holiday. After long conversations, we had to settle for a 6-hour later check out as compensation. The pool area is newly renovated, but the edges of the pool and stairs are sharp, should be sanded round, got a skin scrape on the stairs. There is a missing handrail on the stairs. Saturday afternoon 3-7 pm there are 4 hours with a DJ by the pool, where the rooms in the Royal wing cannot be used, due to the loud noise = Bangla Road and they will not turn it down so we can be in the room. There are many Russians and Asians, which is reflected in the breakfast, where there are many warm/hot dishes and soup. There is only a very small salad bar and only 1 type of cheese and something that should look like a sausage + jam and 4 types of eggs for the Europeans. The hotel is unable to set the clocks in the rooms (controlled centrally), so they show 35 minutes too much, which must be taken into account when setting the alarm clock in the control panel. The cleaning staff can speak better English than those employed at the reception. The furniture is as in the pictures, only that it has been 34 years since it was installed and therefore worn out. Bidet hose leaking they can't fix it, shower head was replaced as it didn't work. Wardrobe consists of 2 drawers, 10 hangers on a rod and a bookcase where 2 small trolleys can be placed. Therefore, it is not possible to unpack completely when you, like us, are going to stay here for 12 days (currently 7 days have passed) So we would only recommend using the hotel for short stays (however, it is reasonably central and relatively undisturbed)…
On arrival incorrect information given. Room nothing like pictures, room dirty and very dated. Balcony very small even for one person. Aircon not working. Spoke with front desk and no solutions offered. Very disappointed and disgusted
We had a room from the Royal side, the lower building wich has 7 floors, we were in the six. And i really have to warn everybody who wants to sleep in peace because in here its not gonna happen.. There is a full bar street just outside the building that is absolutely blasting the music whole night long… And im not easy to start complaining but the music is more louder than normal and even earplugs dont help it at all. The hotels soundproof from walls/doors is also very bad. Otherwise the room is okay, we had two 120cm beds that we pushed together. They clean everyday but for my north european style i would prefer even tidier, but its oksy, AC works, hot/cold shower also. Breakfast is nice, lots of foods amd fresh fruits. Pool is okay but could be cleaner, alot of sand and leaves in there and the pool area itself is kinda updated and cheapish.. and for the fitness people, the ”gym” aka ”fitness center” as they call it, is absolutely terrible.. I thought there would be even some kind of a good place to workout during the holiday but it was just two small rooms in the cellar and there was a terrible smell of mole. Few running mills and couple machines, but zero hand weights. The air was unbreathable, also the ”spa” is just some very suspicious room with a table, in the same cellar… you know. Staff is very friendly and helpful and overall i could go again but with lower expectitions and definetly a room from the Paradise wing and somewhere very up so if the music wouldnt be so loud in there.. …
The best way I can describe my stay is: ‘Disappointing’. I was really looking forward to staying at the Royal Paradise Hotel it was the most expensive hotel booked on my trip and by far the worst. My room was next to some staff storage with loud bangs at 2:30am. A shopping trolley outside my room. The TV had no signal. I missed breakfast by 5mins being 10 minutes walk the lobby counting the wait for the lift and a clock in the room being hours wrong. The place was a total waste of money being 4 times the price of my favourite hotel in Karon. The sky bar is again disappointing. Shabby with dangerous pipes and obstacles on the floor. Seats you wouldn’t sit on if your legs wanted to. A better way of describing my stay is ‘Very disappointing’
I recently stayed here. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone has a smile on their face. The neighbourhood is safe. Beach is a short walk away. Breakfast has a good selection of Asian and Western foods but it's popular so get there early. I'd recommend asking for a room with a higher # towards the back of the tower as the music from the clubs in the complex out front can be loud at times. Hope that helps! Enjoy
The best place to book if you are in Patong. From the hotel at 2 minutes walk, you have the entire Patong city. Close to every amenities that you would want to especially if you wan to enjoy the nite life. Breakfast wasn’t great but since it’s close to restaurants, we had a lot of option. The only issue I found, the Aircon was really cold.
Good location a bit off bangla road and abt 15 to 20 mins walk to the beach. Hotel is not right off the street, need to walk in a bit. Overall staff was friendly. Room size was decent. Comfortable bed, adequate water pressure and water well heated for showers. We had a corner room with a wraparound balcony..slight view of the sea in one corner. Air-conditioning was good too. Breakfast was on the 2nd floor coffeehouse and has no lift access at all (stairs only) so not wheelchair or elderly friendly. Aside from that it was nice that they had a certified halal corner when we had breakfast there and it had a few options. Bathroom was clean but throughout our 3 nights no toothbrush was provided with the toiletries. It wasn't a big deal for us though just a bit strange cos this is usually a given with toiletries. The tv in our room had a really lousy connection. Couldn't see much on screen but seemed liked all local channels. We didn't bother to complain though. Overall i would probably return.…
The hotel location is very nice and close to everything. The amount of people checking in & out out of the hotel already proves the reputation of the hotel. However, the breakfast selection is very limited. It barely has continental breakfast. It’s better to have breakfast outside the hotel for its price. Also if you were a solo or a couple I don’t advise to go for “Royal wing” because the rooms are outdated and does not have nice view. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel without a do!
It’s our 2nd time here and the room look better than last time like they was renovated the room, I like the view from the room, it quite scary in the elevator but the view was so stunning. All of the staff are very nice and always help us. Thank you for your service and hope to stay with you again next time.
