Although I only stayed 1 night in this hotel I must say I was sorry I had not stayed here for the week in Phuket. I had another hotel booked for 6 days and when I got an email during my stay telling me my return flight was cancelled I needed at least 1 more night. I managed to get a flight booked the following day. I went online to see how much another night in my hotel would be and it was too expensive soo I decided to move for the extra night. I picked the Palmyra from many options. I emailed Palmyra the morning I was moving to see if they could give me an early check in. I had a reply withing minuted saying I could check in immediately. When I got to the hotel I was immediately impressed with the place. The pool was sparkling and the bar and restaurant was inviting. My room was large with a huge bed. The barhroom was modern and very clean, the balcony was spacious. I was really sorry that I had not spent the week there. The buffet breakfast was good wich many choices. I hope I will be back again soon. The staff were excellent ans seemed happy ar work.

My overall takeaway from my entire 5-day stay with my family is how unprofessional and unhelpful the staff was. Perhaps the only plus was the friendly and helpful daily-tour assistant who could be found near the pool. They offered taxi service at the reception but once asked would be extremely reluctant to hail a taxi for us, then told us to get tuk tuk. They also forgot to replace complimentary free water bottles until we reminded them. Facility is horrible: toilet seat and light broke down, soundproofing is terrible. Saw that this place was offering major discounts and we didnt have much time before our trip to decide so I guess you get what you paid for. Would never go for major discount again nor revisit!

Hi LisaV9119, Thank you for your recent stay with us. We are grateful for your time spent on this review, at the same time saddened to hear of your comments about your complaints. In response to your complaint about calling a taxi for you, let us clarify that we do provide taxi services for airport transfers and this arrangement is on contractual basis which means prices are all agreed upon and fixed between our panel transport company and our resort. Most of the time guests will get their tuk tuk near the entrance of the resort as it is much easier than getting a taxi which normally involves some bargaining when you hail one and depends on where you want to go. Because of this reason, we can't really call in a taxi for guests as chances are guests will find them very expensive. We understand your disappointment but we believe it was due to some misunderstanding. We apologized for the complimentary water bottles was not being replaced, and other comments brought up in your reviews. We will take your reviews constructively and do our best to make the necessary improvements. Thank you.

Stayed for 3nights. Welcomed by the receptionist. Provided room before check-in time without any extra charges. Staff is good and humorous people. Room was clean. Good view from the balcony. Tourist Help Table, you can book the iternary from there. Near to market- walkable distance to Patong beach and Bangla road. Great stay. Recommended.

It started at entrance. Great smiles and professional behavior by staff at reception fresh welcome drinks, and we also got free upgrade and voucher for bar and dinner. Rooms large, clean and with balcony and view. The actual worked good with not to much sound. Gym ok for entry level. Needs some more weights and chin up bar. Pool great. I booked this hotel and stayed in the poolside room 1103 and my kids in 1104. 1103 has urine smell and 1104 has musty smell. The furniture in the rooms are so dated and old. The television has miserable channels and at times lost connection. There were lizards, houseflies and mosquitoes in our rooms. The pool is so small that there is no privacy when you want to rest at the balcony as you can see what the other guests were eating for breakfast. The difference between the balcony and the breakfast area is less than 3 m. The breakfast is bad with tasteless rice and bad service from the "chef" who works at the egg station. He cannot even tell the difference between sunny side up and fried eggs. My husband wanted sunny side up and told the "chef" but the chef kept pointing at the fried eggs telling my husband to take it. The receptionists are rude too and they only gave 1 room key instead of 2. There are also numerous signs in the hotel and room informing us of various fines, such as bringing durians in the rooms and will fine us 2000 baht, hanging wet clothes in the room will fine us 1000baht, losing of the room key will fine us 100 baht. All these policies are constantly reminding us of the do's and dont's and make us feel that the hotel is all out to catch us doing wrong. This is not the right way to treat hotel guests. I do not understand why hanging wet clothes in the room will cause us to be fined. It is not that they have posh furniture to begin with. If you want to stay in the 1980s concept, this will be the hotel for you because like I said the furniture is really old. There was a power failure on 3 Dec and housekeeping was late. The other room next to our room had their room done up. When called and asked, the receptionist was rude and said that the housekeepers had to tidy up other rooms who were needed to check in. The pool is poorly managed with broken floor tiles at the bottom of the pool and you may suffer cuts if you are not careful. There was a lot of chloride in the pool that it was not bearable to swim. The distance between the hotel and beach and the shopping mall is far. It is about 15 min walk to Juncelylong and 10 min walk to the beach. It is not as near as what the other reviewers said. Please do not be fooled by all the other reviewers. This hotel is bad, real bad. It is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in Phuket.

Hi Vanessa N, Thank you for your recent stay with us and your time to detail out your many comments about us. We viewed your reviews with great concern and we have spent a great deal of time to thoroughly understand how much weight it carries in each of your complaint about our resort and us. We spent a couple times a day going back and forth to room 1103 and 1104 (even all the Pool Access rooms) to detect the smell you mentioned since the day you checked out from our resort, but so far it seems the rooms are all fine. We will continue to detect if we could eventually find the problem. Besides, both rooms you stayed are recently renovated. Room 1103 was renovated on 13–18 October 2019 whereas Room 1104 was renovated 10-15 Nov 2019. Regarding TV channels, we admit that it happens sometimes (not often) because of the unforeseeable problem on the side of the service provider and we will continue to speak to them. You mentioned about lizards, houseflies and mosquitoes in our rooms. Well, this is Thailand and you can't really kill them all in the tropics. We do have our regular pest control team to come in to keep as much insects away as possible but we don't really use strong chemicals as we prefer to have safer environment. Pool Access rooms tend to have privacy issue and this is not uncommon with common pool. Most guests who are booking into this room type usually have no issues about this as they are fully aware of it. You complained that our fried rice is tasteless and our chef can't tell the difference between sunny side up and fried eggs. This is what we found out - There are different displayed photos of cooked eggs at the egg station and the guest can point out which amongst these photos they wanted their egg to be cooked. Your husband pointed the sunny side up as his preferred choice and at the same time, he mentioned that the egg needed to be flipped to be cooked. Our chef cooked the egg as per his request and somehow it became an issue now. Our hotel policy regarding key card. We normally give 01 key card to the guest and if the guest wanted to have more, they can inform the receptionist and we will give additional key. This is not a problem at all. We put up a few signs to remind our guests so they know what they are not allowed to do (such as no durians and hanging wet clothes in the room) and this policy is never ever meant to annoy anyone. Policies as such and charges are normal in a hotel for precautions since there are some guests who abuse their rights as a guest and do whatever they wanted to do and causing problems to other guests. There was a power failure on December 2019 - Yes, there was a power failure in Patong area that lasted only for around 05 minutes. We are afraid this is something we can't control. You also said our receptionist was rude and the housekeepers had to tidy up other rooms who were needed to check in. We will thank you to understand that our receptionist talked politely to you and informed you about the process of cleaning. Just because we could not attend to your request immediately when you asked should not be the reason for you to say she was rude. There is no broken tiles as claimed. We did some repair to the pool before as part of our ongoing maintenance work, but there is no trace of broken tiles at the bottom of the pool as claimed and chlorine level is normal. The distance between our resort to Jungceylon and beach is within walking distance and majority of our guests are very happy with the location. Lastly, we appreciate your feedback and will do our best to continue to improve our resort. Thank you.
