good place to stay in patong
we people stayed here for six days.the rooms are clean and the balcony faces towards the main road.the market is near for general things.there is a restaurant at ground floor.the restaurant menu is good and you can have a dish in between 60 to 150 THB. do not get confuse that it is blue ocean resort.however it is operated by blue ocean resort team. over all above average.

    Ok accommodation
Cheap, air conditioned room. Can't fault anything provided in the room, we even got a balcony. For the money it was really good value. However, the wi-fi internet is almost non-existent and despite paying for bed and breakfast, some days the breakfast wasn't provided. All in all a reasonable experience though, and much better than staying in a hostel.

    Not a resort
Good large apartment. I really wanted a jug to boil a cup of tea, but there were none available. Otherwise staff were friendly, restaurant had good and well priced food. Room was always well cleaned. It is about 20 minutes walk from Bangla road, if you hire a bike to get around will save your legs. I enjoyed my stay there. No pool!

I booked this hotel by seeing its picture on website but guys please do not repeat the mistake what i did. Location :: very bad , Situated inside the narrow street. Lobby area : Very Small and once you enter it you find it dead end. Food : They do not have their own kitchen and if you need breakfast , they provide from streets corner restaurant ( on double rate ). Unregistered guest : Allowed but they will ask for 300 THB ( depends on staff ). Housekeeping : Good

The staff are lovely. One lady even offered me a lift on her scooter when I got lost! The rooms are spotlessly cleaned everyday, new towels left and bottled water in the fridge. The location is ok. Our room was right next to the main road so had traffic noise all night but the room had air conditioning so just put the fan up and you won't hear it. The ladies running the restaurant opposite are very pleasant. If I had anything to criticise at all, it would be that the breakfast is a little disappointing, but that's looking for something to moan about. Everything else was great.

There are plenty of budget guest houses in Patong which all seem to be the same..... we arrived with the intention of staying a week... The rooms are large and have free air conditioning, tv and free wifi in the rooms. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels every day. Anything you may require is available within a few steps, laundry and scooter hire opposite, restaurant next door and a 23 hr 7 eleven below. I was taken ill in the first week so did not move for a few days. The freebies came in pretty good for me as if I had to pay for them daily it would have cost a fortune. The staff were brilliant and really did look after us, would pop to the shop or restaurant to get me food etc, A big thanks to Sunita was a little blessing.

We booked to stay at blue ocean studio for a night, with the intention of staying 4, but on arrival were informed that they had overbooked. Instead they were going to take us to their sister company just down the road. Once in the taxi we were then taken out of the central patong area, up the hill to their resort. They offered us a room there instead, which was nice but really not what we wanted. We wanted to be close to the city and night life. They were going transfer us again in the morning back to the studio. The manager did her best to apologise and make up for it, but some of the staff were very rude to us. The food at the blue ocean beach resort was less than average, expensive and took ages to be served, because of the isolated location we didn't have any other option but to eat at the resort. Our stay at blue ocean beach resort ended up costing us more and was definitely not the kind of stay we had envisioned - we did not come to Thailand to sit by the pool in our resort all day. Probably nice for some, but not us. We transferred to another place called Same Same Guesthouse, which was really good. Cheap and very close to the central area in Patong.

The theme of this vacation was bait and switch. Our entire Thailand experience was nothing but wonderful. But unknown to us at the time of booking is that most hotels have more than one property in the Patong area. One must exercise great caution when booking your hotel and really pay attention to the details. My booking problems are my fault and I do not in anyway blame the hotel. That being said here are the details about this hotel; Location: The Blue Ocean Studio Rooms are on Phisit Karani Rd, that is the road that runs at the base of the hills on the east side of town. It's a good 20 minutes or better to walk to the beach. If you want to be out of the hustle that is Patong, this might be a good place for you. Dinning is cheaper, and it's not nearly as noisy as the hotels closer to the beach. You are not close to major shopping. I would suggest that you rent a Moto because it will cost you 300 baht (about $10.00) to go anywhere. Moto's can be rented for as little as $6.00 a day. But you will have to forfeit your passport. This is a requirement by the Thai Government. Not someone trying to hustle you. That is another story. The Hotel it's self. It's pretty run down. Our room was on the third floor with a street view, pretty noisy due to the street being busy. As far as the room itself, nothing to write home about. The big issue was the mold. Being a tropical climate this is a big issue. The room while in appearance was appealing, reeked of the smell of mold. The accommodations were pretty standard, Nice big bed (hard) large room, Shower in the bathroom. As I have some pretty severe mold allergies we could not stay in this room. I felt bad, because the staff was very accommodating. They even helped us book at the Blue Ocean Resort, which was what we thought we were staying at in the first place. Pros: Inexpensive, away from the craziness of Patong Beach and the staff. Cons: Far from everything, MOLD Issues, No Pool, not what was advertised.
