The lunar Patong is a mid-range hotel which I have stayed at previously but over the years it has fallen behind due to poor maintenance.

The hotel has a modern design and the rooms are a good size and feature a large bed, a sofa, a safe, slippers and bathrobes, tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water.

The rooms are getting a little bit tired and could do with the refurbishment and they have small old TVs on the wall with very poor reception and that need replacing.

The bathrooms are a reasonable sized but the water pressure is average at best in the shower.

The swimming pool is modern and narrow and more for just getting a dip to cool off not really suitable for swimming.

The hotel is ok for a short stay but could really do with refurbishment but I would have no problem in returning here for a few days

A little gem, not hidden, in the northern part of the Patong Township.
Five stars is not perfect but the best I believe the property can perform at given its infrastructure and management support. The property itself has some scars and wrinkles but it was a happy and friendly place to stay.
Thankful at the end of what seems like a never ending pack and repack, it has not been that long, to be rewarded with a spectacular upgrade.
that had me bouncing around like a 5 year old after Red fizzy drink and too many lollies. It actually bought a tear to my eye, and I was completely gobsmacked, and that is a rare event indeed. Spacious beyond belief, a suite configuration that was both beautiful and practical. Despite it taking about 30 hours to find a balcony light switch. The suite included some quirky inclusions like a galaxy ceiling projector.
The Lunar, like every property that I give five stars, had sensational staff that were constantly dealing with some difficult guests. Seriously, if you use the laundry, pay for it, and if you agree that you were smoking in your room, pay the fine. I was amazed each new guest was treated with respect and courtesy. Although high quality all round I would single out Joey and Gam for their outstanding customer service and friendly manner that was a joy to behold. The usual mould problems and wear and tear mean, to maintain a standard some significant investment in upgrading tired infrastructure will soon need to occur.
I thoroughly recommend The Lunar no matter which room/suite you are accommodated .

Excellent hotel, rated 4 stars. The rooms are clean, which is important, cleaned daily, the beds are excellent, the air conditioning works great. The service is good, the staff is very nice and very friendly, they try very hard to fulfill any wishes. The location is also very good, 10 minutes walk to the sea. Breakfasts, of course, cannot compare with Turkey, but no one was left hungry. Omelettes, scrambled eggs, soup and hot dishes are always presented for breakfast and change every day, fruits, vegetables, pastries. The packaged coffee is disgusting, but we drank it at the 7/11 across the street. The only thing I personally can't complain about is the pool. It is located in such a way that sunlight does not reach there, but this is not a problem for us. The hotel is very calm and quiet. I recommend it to everyone.

Truely saddened by the service received from the hotel regarding our complaints, they have made no attempt to try and assist in anyway, and their overall customer  service from all staff is very disappointing. We made a comment on check in regarding our complaints and was told no one available to speak to, the next day was told no manager ‪until tomorrow‬, so day 3 we attempted again to speak to a manager and told no not today again. We finally spoke to a lady who advised she was unable to help and suggested we contacted ‪booking.com‬ which then we made contact.
On the first morning we attended a poor breakfast option, where the bread has been stale daily, witnessed staff handle fresh fruit with their hands, no gloves and no tongs etc, there is also a small flying bugs surrounding all the fresh food with no covering. Our shower head and soap dish is broken, cigarette burns in furniture, was given 1/3 toilet roll on check in and when we asked for another it was an issue and was only given one. We asked for another as a spare (2 people, small rolls) so we didn’t run out, and was told no.
The hotel is advised as a deluxe hotel but is barely 3 star. There is 125 rooms and 8 sun beds in total. The pool gets no sun whatsoever at all in any area and is very cold, very unpleasant. We have been here for 4 days and there has been the same cigarette butts outside and in our pool since we checked in, we don’t smoke and the pool has obviously not been cleaned. The wifi drops out every time you exit a screen or app, and have to re log in.
The hotel advertised photos show a sunny pool, but all day no sun at all, leaving us to believe the photos are photoshopped and false advertising. Underneath our room there is leaking pool pipes, the overall hotel is poorly maintained and could do with maintenance, general upkeep needs to be addressed.
The hotel is also very loud every night we have been disturbed by noisy neighbours, banging on our door for 20 minutes had the wrong room, another room next door loud partying and there seems to be no security although all guests are made to sign a no party policy with policy against bringing additional guests.
We understand that the accomodation isn’t always like the photos, we travel often and are realistic about our expectations, these problems may seem small and insignificant to some but when you pay premium price for a product and have an expectation by the images and description then arrive to something totally different to the advertised pictures it is certainly disappointing to say the least. In this instance we certainly believe to have been mislead and are extremely disappointed, this hotel is misleading consumers by their advertising. We have checked out after 3 nights and found additional accomodation for the remaining 7,
Lunar Hotel refused any partial refund for nights not stayed.

We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of December (me, my husband and 13 year old daughter). I will start with the good points. Location is central, close to the beach, short stroll down to Bangla Road but set back so we didn’t hear street noise, myriad bars etc close by. Staff were friendly, the air con worked well and the WiFi was good. Room had a decent fridge and safe and the shower worked. Unfortunately that’s the end of the good stuff. I booked a room for the three of us which was described as having a double bed and a single bed, but what we got was a double bed and a fold out chair bed which was incredibly hard with a lump in the middle, not suitable at all for anyone apart from a very young child to sleep on. The room itself had a very basic feel and did not look much like the pictures. When we went to the pool we discovered that it was very dirty, the walls had a film of algae and the water didn’t look particularly clean, so we decided not to use it which was disappointing as the main reason we booked this hotel was because it had a pool. Breakfast was very very poor and not at all what you would expect from a 3/4 star hotel, we weren’t late getting there but there was hardly anything left, no fruit apart from a couple of bits of watermelon, no bread or croissants, even the teacups had all gone. This hotel has tiled corridors, so can be noisy when people are coming and going at night. Patong Beach is a lively area so you have to expect people to be coming in late, but on our first night we were woken up multiple times by a young man (British of course) ranting and raving in the corridor and banging on his door and shouting, I think he had had an argument with his partner and she had shut him out, this obviously is not the fault of the hotel but just added to our underwhelming experience here. I paid about £130 per night for our stay which I do not consider to be good value for money. I would not return to this hotel.

We vacationed with friends in November, choosing between several 4 in the center, we settled on this hotel
Of course, this is not 4ka, and the review itself has matured, so that your expectations coincide with reality
1. Despite the fact that the hotel itself is quite young, clearly no one took care of it during the pandemic: a lot of things in the rooms are rusty, right down to the trash can! (This is the first time I’ve seen this), very dirty balconies and glass on them, a shower with glass that feels like I’ve never been washed, strange and uncomfortable chairs on the balconies
2. The pool... to be honest, I’m just shocked, it’s not dirty! It’s rusty! It’s not pleasant to swim in it and you don’t want to, the bar hasn’t been open for a long time
3. I would like to highlight only the pool employee who tried at least somehow: he changed the towels himself, took out my keys that fell from the balcony into the pool
4. Room cleaning: just a “song”: it was always dirty, the floor was washed only after my persistent requests, the other room was never cleaned, the bed was never changed
5. Breakfast, it’s absolutely terrible, I’ve been to many places and in different hotels: these are the worst breakfasts, they don’t even correspond to 3*: very meager, repeat the finished croissants, fruits, eggs only after requests, although they arrived early ahead of schedule. And it’s just not cozy in the dining room(
In general, I don’t recommend it and won’t come again, it’s easier to pay more for a normal 4k or less for a 3k

We ate at the street food type restaurant they run in front of the hotel. The hawkers out front are also the wait staff. Soon as they get you in they forget you. I actually had to go ask for the bill. The food was actually good until this happened. There was only one other table. Waiting to flag down the server, I watched her deliver a plate of rice to the other table. Fifteen minutes later the people sent it back. The server gave it to the chef and when he thought no one was looking he poured it back it the rice pot. So gross. Shame on the chef. Shame on the server.

This is the first time I’m writing a review, only because this is the most disgusting hotel in my memory. This is not our first time in Phuket, 4 times in Patong, and how sad it is to stay in the most terrible hotel of all time
The lunar patong—everything is bad here! Let's start with our arrival, the staff at the reception are simply angry, to say that they are unpleasant is to say nothing. The rooms were dirty, they asked to change the room, and this was done after a few days. The rooms are cleaned at the most inopportune times. The sign to clean my room hung from the very morning until 16.00 in the afternoon, no one cared, but when we returned the cleaning was right there, we asked the cleaner to come in 15 minutes, and in the end they didn’t wait for him at all)
They also asked the reception to clean it earlier, and then everything was pointless.
They removed the dressing gowns from the room in one frill, apparently they thought that we had enough and would give it to others..
Breakfast... this is the biggest disappointment. There is no choice. no, we are not picky, but of course there is something to compare with, for such a price we vacationed in much more worthy places. In terms of food, it’s very difficult to get enough. If you come here with a man, be prepared that he will leave hungry.
They don't even know about bacon for breakfast. The fruit is either papaya-watermelon or watermelon-pineapple (that's all)
The watermelon is sour and weathered... The pineapple has run out, I asked if there will be a new one? They smiled at me and said yes, 10 minutes, apparently they thought I couldn’t wait and would leave, but it was a matter of principle. I waited, waited 10 minutes, 20, asked again - the girl came out and said, sorry, finish)
Those who didn't make it were late. New food is not served. I decided for myself that I would have sandwiches for breakfast... and imagine during the 10 days of our stay there was not even cheese, not once. Several times there was not even bread, that is, there was not even anything to put together my sandwich... this is trash))) The pool is waist-deep, and there is eternal shadow in it, one and a half meters wide and 15 meters long, but what’s the point if it’s waist-deep? ) I advise everyone to think 10 times before choosing this hotel, we came to it from another hotel, and how we regretted it...

Well, it’s sooo bad(((we lived in a room with three of us, they only gave us one key. When we checked in, they said that if anything happened, the staff would come up and open the room. In fact, it turned out that my friend slept in the room in which, in fact, there was a key, we left, upon returning at the reception they told us “come up, they will open it for you, don’t worry" and they called the room and woke up my friend! And so several times! On the balconies they don’t clean up the word at all, in the shower too every other time, and in the rooms sooooo bad! There are three of us, we were left alone with a robe for the second day, tea, coffee, soap, to be reported, we have to constantly ask! Breakfast is meager, and after 9 if you come (breakfast before 10), there is nothing to eat at all!

The hotel is beautiful on the outside, but inside it's really bad. The price does not match the quality at all. She gave 2 stars just for the friendly staff (but very lazy at the same time). I'll start with the number. First time I see such savings on guests, did not put even a set with toothbrush and paste (had to ask separately) also the first time I see no hair conditioner, there is only soap and shampoo, that's it. If you ask me not to clean the room, they haven't updated the water or anything for four days. Everything needs begging. Shower pressure is just some joke, it's like I was bathing in a stream. Also when I checked in the shower was dirty and in the soap from past guests. The extractor is terribly dusty as if it had never been washed. Cardboard walls, so the noise of the neighbors makes it impossible to sleep. The pool doesn't fit the picture and looks very shabby. Also out of fun, the elevator didn't work for 24 hours, and I lived on the 6th floor) After the elevator closed and the pool) The only joy was this breakfast, I come, and all the fruit and vegetables in the midges, there was a whole flock of them. I couldn't take it anymore, I'm telling the employees to do something about it because I want to eat, they just got up and started chasing them away with their hands. My last nerve cell broke on that and I said softly to replace that horror and bring fresh. I ate. Packed my bags and checked into another hotel. I hated to be categorical and write such a bad review, but I'd hate people like me to fall for the picture and ruin their holidays. Staff wish to correct their mistakes.

It is over, no worries! I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with my lovely friends. My room was perfect with the direct access to the swimming pool and wonderful view of the surrounded mountain from the balcony. The hotel itself is beautiful and located not too far from the beach and only walking distance to the most famous walking street in Phuket. The staffs were welcoming and friendly, so I must say if you're planing to visit Phuket for leisure, business. This hotel will definitely fulfill your need. Irented a car from the orange car Phuket for 4 days. The people who work there are friendly. Car was like newI will surely go back to stay at this beautiful hotel again.
