We spent two nights in a small brand new bungalow with all you need. The family owning the business is nice and friendly, as most of Thai people are. In the morning they serve you a simple breakfast on the small table of your balcony. You are close to the beautiful lake and temples where a night market takes place daily.
I stayed in one of the bungalows for four nights in mid-February 2020, and I would happily stay again if I am ever back in Mae Hong Son. To begin with, the family that runs Sarm Mork Guest House are incredibly kind, and the man in charge makes you feel very welcome (if you need anything, just ask!). Not only did they help me get a tuk tuk to the bus station upon departure, but they also took care of my laundry for a very good price. The location of the guest house is great, as it is just around the corner from the lake and nearby restaurants but is incredibly quiet and local. The bungalow itself was comfortable, had decent air conditioning, and was easy to fall asleep in. Overall, I was very happy with my stay at Sarm Mork Guest House and would recommend it to anyone.
We stayed here for 1 night on our Mae Hong Son loop and had a realy good experience. The private 2 person room was big, wel painted(you would be suprised at some hostels) with a comfy bed and a decent enough shower. The price was also reasonable and a good price for what you get! The personel was also very friendly and helpfull. Plus it was quiet ar night, wich is a rarety in Thailand to say the least.
Nice little guesthouse right by the lake in Mae Hong Son. I had one of the individual bungalows, which are very clean and have everything you might need. The owners are friendly and eager to help with any questions. No breakfast option is offered, however the Mae Hong Son morning market is an excellent place to sample some of the local food options (try any of the noodle bowls at the north side of the market). My only minor complaint was that the AC unit seemed to be too weak for the room, making it a challenge to cool down the room during the day (I wanted to rest for an hour or so in the afternoon, as the heat in Mae Hong Son was intense). Not a big issue during the cooler season, but might be a bit difficult in the hot season. Overall, a great option for the price though.
we stayed for 2 nights in one of these little cabins. Was able to park our scooter outside our cabin. The cabins were very good and very clean. It had Air- con, Refrigerator, Hot shower and free WiFi. Although there are photos of a small eatery on the premises where they make breakfast, (reason why we booked there) it seemed that it was no longer open, so we had to go looking for a place to eat. That wasn't a problem. But was just a surprise. Still, the place is very good and will be back for sure, just around the corner is a group that sell bread to feed the fish in the massive lake. A great way spend a bit of time relaxing.
