Stayed for 1 night while doing a motorcycle tour of Mae Hong Son and was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, quietness and quality of this little gem. The resort is a little out of the way, best to have your own transport. But what it lacks in location is made up by the serenity of the premises. Notable details are... More

Really sweet little place. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed being removed from the city (it's only an 8 minute drive to the heart of town, really not bad). Our room was very comfortable, they provided robes for us, the bathtub and shower room is spacious and we appreciated the separate room for toilet (you don't see this often... More

Stayed here for only one night while doing the loops. I love the style of this place where you have your own villa. the place itself is quiet, the staff is friendly , the internet wasn't working but I can get away with my phone cellular data. it is not a walking distance to the town but if you have... Stayed here a night while doing the Mae Hong Son Loop on motorcycle. It's located about 2 km from the main walking street, but if you have a vehicle, that's nothing. It's far away from the bustle of the city, and yet close enough so that getting to food was not any issue at all! The rooms are large, well... More

Yes, this place is far from the city center, but just know that going in before booking. The service is impeccable - the owner and staff are SO kind. They picked us up from the bus stop and then dropped us off and waited for us to eat at a restaurant before going to the resort. I highly suggest getting... More

We really like this resort for staying in Mae Hong Son. The bungalows are solid, spacious, functional and very clean, and have baths. Being in the rice paddies makes for a very pleasant environment. Some maintenance problems are beginning to show up on the decks and external fabric of the bungalows. They are still a great value place to stay,... More

Recommended. We picked this place based on the high rankings it enjoys here on Trip Advisor. There's a lot to like about this place. But to decide if it is for you, you'll need to know the negatives up front with the positives. Take a plat of land in the countryside, construct a perimeter of concrete or bamboo, build 1-bedroom... Finally, a place I’d longed for in beautiful northern Thailand. My wife and I arrived in Mae Hong Son by river after white water rafting from Pai. As usual, we hadn't booked anything, and at firsat were shown town centre hotels lacking in ambience. You need to go out of town to find the tranquility you crave. Gim’s Resort is... More

Gims Resort - Due to the low season during super HOT summer, the resort's restaurant is closed and they only provide homemade biscuits/ coffee/ tea for light breakfast so if you need more food then you need to go to town or else buy from 7-11.... and our resorts to town is not walking distance and the whole Mae Hong... Its peaceful, quiet setting, located at a housing area take 10-15 min to Mae Hong Son town .The resort provides spacious rooms with huge bathrooms and a nice garden for a very reasonable price. The separate bathroom , toilet and basin area is very convenient for us . They do not serve breakfast so bringing along some goodies to prepare... More
