Certificate of Excellence
Described by guests as 'rustic charm', 'like a dream' and 'the Thailand we have been looking for.' Sang Tong Huts, nestled on a hillside on the outer edge of Mae Hong Son Township, is only 10-15 minute walk to the town center. Sang Tong Huts is a well established Guest House where, since 1987, guests have relaxed and enjoyed our natural setting. Guests enjoy the influences of Thai, Australian and German culture, inspiration and passion. Sang Tong Huts, with its unique charm and character, appeals to our numerous international guests. Many guests arrive planning to stay a night or two but realize that Sang Tong Huts is the kind of place that is hard to leave. The garden setting displays an array of wonderful plants, flowers, trees and bamboo varieties, and a relaxing space by the swimming pool. Our nine individual huts, built with teak, bamboo and local leaf roofing tiles, all vary in size and design, ranging from basic to luxurious; and prices vary. All are well appointed with a balcony, great views, fan and private bathroom with warm to hot shower.

Just spent 2 nights at Sang Tong Huts and would highly recommend it. If you want tranquillity, sit and read a book, or just somewhere away from bustle of daily life, I don't think you will find better in Mae Hong Son. The manager is...More

Cannot give this place a high enough review! We set off from Chiang Mai to do the 600+km journey of the Mae Hong Song loop, taking a two day break at the Sang Tong Huts. The grounds were serene and secluded enough to really relax...More

Stayed 1 night. Hut was clean and good size. Louise and her staff were responsive and friendly. This is a great option, was also given some sightseeing spots on my way to Pai which were well worth it, including the view from Jabo.
