Chiang Mai, Thailand

I had stayed there before in 2013 and it was an average but comfortable resort with many wonderful grounds. But the rooms now are in much neglect for needed repairs and attention for comforts to the occupants.

Not recommended. This place is 2 notches above dismal, 3 notches above horrible. So why did we stay here? We arrived in town late. The hotel was recommended to us by friends. We didn't stop to check Trip Advisor — our mistake. This hotel has seen better, if not "glorious" days, many decades ago. A stop here is akin to...

The hotel has friendly and good English speaking staff and offered me to look at the room before checking in The room is quite depressing with no wifi and only a few Thai channels on the ancient tv The large garden is well kept and has a good sized pool Location is good with a ten minute walk to towncentre...

Entering the hotel, the lobby, courtyard and pool areas are lovely and well-decorated. We had a deluxe room by the pool - very convenient. Both the room and the bathroom are big, spacious and very clean. Facilities (towels, toiletries, fridge, tv) were adequate. Bed was big and soft. The floor in the room was very slippery for some reason. Service...

After driving from one hotel to the other for an hour or so looking for a decent place to stay, we ended up here because it looked much nicer than the rest at first glance. Our hearts sank a little when we turned the lights on in the room finding it quite dirty and it felt like the whole place...

I only spent one night and am glad it was only one. Room was dirty, bathroom was disgusting looked like they had not cleaned the mirror ever. Air conditioning leaks right next to your bed and you can hear water dripping all night. Rooms have far too much light coming in of a night and makes it even harder to...

This hotel was originally built in 1989 as a set and headquarters for Hollywood movies “Air America” and “ The Quest”. The reception area/gardens/pool/outdoor seating areas are beautiful, quite spectacular in places, however urgent maintenance is required! The same could be said of the rooms. They are a good size (we had 2 double rooms, one for us and one...

Hotel looks nice from the street - but looks aren't everything! Our room was shabby, bathroom door did not close properly, curtains in the room could not be closed so we had no privacy at all from buildings out back, shower was just a curtain that dragged across a corner of the bathroom so water would run everywhere. No working...

Stayed for one night as part of a three days tour. I can not compare with other hotels in Mae Hong Son but there must be cleaner and less dated facilities available in the same price range. It is a shame really because it could be such a beauty with a bit more TLC and friendlier staff.

We stayed on this place for only one night and below are the highlights: -- property looks nice but old -- restaurant, we ordered some food from the menu in the restaurant but they brought us something completely different because they said they did not have some of the ingredients, odd (it didn't taste good). We also ordered coca cola,...
