Over-priced and taking away from the local community. Walk all the way down the beach to where the fishing boats are and hang a right. A whole vibrant community is yours to discover! There are plenty of bungalows, restaurants, and resort-free Thai hospitality waiting just a few metres up the jungle path!

We stayed here to be 2 minutes from the climbing on Tonsai Beach. We have stayed on Tonsai through its many phases over the years, but were keen to have AC, wifi, and daily services which were pretty unavailable to Tonsai previously. It was great. Quiet, sealed rooms, hot showers, complimentary waters and room cleaning daily, new beds, and a... More

email Communication from Tonsai Bay Resort Hotel was swift and helpful during the booking process. We amended our group booking about 4 times, requesting extra days either side of the original dates, as we planned our trip as we went along. We received a lovely welcome from Oom who it seemed really had our best interests at heart. We knew... More

This was a little bit more then our budget, but heavily discounted due to it bring low season so we couldn't resist and decided to book. Great little bungalows, spacious, air con works well. They said no electricity during the day (so no air con) but ours worked the whole time we were there. Very close to the beach, and... More

The staff was super helpful during our whole stay and helped us make the most of our short time in Krabi town. We went rock climbing, which I highly suggest for those up for it, and they told us all we needed to know about it. Also, the food there is well priced and great tasting.

There's no power from 9am to 5pm (but the wifi is working 24h). Except that, everything is perfect : very good service, bungalows very clean and cosy. The breakfast is very good too. Behind the resort, in the jungle, there are many bars and "restaurants". Its very lively and you can practice slacklining. On the beach, you can do some... More

Located on Tonsai beach, which is traditionally where all the backpackers and budget travelers stay, this higher end resort is for the midrange customer who wants to avoid the business of Railay. Tonsai, I found, was much more scenic than Railay, witch massive cliffs hanging out and slightly over some areas of the resort. I definitely recommend it. Rooms AC... More

If you've never been to Tonsai, you should know that you're going to a very small and isolated beach community. And I used the word community on purpose - it's very small and very friendly with a distinct personality from even neighboring Railay. It's place where you could probably leave your purse or bag out in the open all day... More

Lets start at the arrival, with a long-tail boat from Ao nang, not knowing (because the hotel is not very clear about that) you should not be coming in when low tide.. Why? They drop you of in the mud!!!! And because the shore is filled with sharp shells and old coral you will cut open your feet... That being... More

All the beaches in the area are gorgeous, but this one is the least crowded, making it the best. The resort has a fantastic location in between the beach and the jungle. There are many very fun, laid back, bars and restaurants nearby. There are other places to stay on this beach but the other places are all very rustic,... More
