Two beautiful teakwood rooms on the first floor of a hybrid modern-traditinal Thai village house where you can experience life away from the tourist areas.
Relax and take your meals in the waterfall house, go for walks in the fields, visit the temples and other sights in the area. Enjoy massages given by the experienced therapist, learn how to cook Thai food and much more .....
An authentic experience of Thai village life.
In general we liked the homestay and it got better the longer we stayed. It was nice to observe the village life and go to rural markets and meet the community people. It's good to think in advance what you want to do and also explore the place yourself or let your plans be known. It's definitely a place where you can relax. The provided food was very good, and we also liked the massage and temple visits. A cosy place to stay and we liked meeting her son and the little dogs too.
Manida's homestay was a wonderful experience! I stayed for the first half of Songkran (Thai New Year) which was a wonderful time. I got to have an intimate cultural experience in Manida's village. I got to know many people in the village & make friends during the time I was there. Manida took great care of me & showed me a lovely time introducing me to her community and bringing me to the temple for religious and cultural festivities. Manida also cooked (and let me help) cook dinners while I was there- traditional Isaan food! The rooms were great to stay in- good WiFi & Air Con- very comfortable. Coming to Manida's was one of the highlights of my entire time in Thailand (one month) because it was a true experience- a great way to get off the tourist track!
We had two nice nights at Manidas, and she did everything to make our stay comfortable. Especially her cooking is worth a visit, both dinner and breakfast. The house is very authentic and is placed in the middle of the small village. The village is nice and I can highly recommend to sleep on the balcony and study the village live en early morning.
Nice stay at Manida's homestay. We cooked together a very nice meal. Very friendly. Nice village to go around. We came cycling from Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Sing Buri, Nakon Sawan, Pitsanalok over the Green route to Khon Kaen. Great trip. Thanks a lot, Manida
I spent 4 weeks in Thailand and this was by far the most relaxing place I stayed. Manida is a wonderful host, an excellent cook serving traditional Thai dishes as well as western based meals to your desired taste, as hot or mild as you like. The village is quite small so don't expect air conditioned shopping malls or 5 star hotels, but you will find water buffalo being walked past the front gate, friendly people dropping in for a chat, a neighbour across the road who will drive you to the bus station in his sangtauw and go to the counter with you to make sure you get the right bus. Unlike one other reviewer "overcharged" I believe I was undercharged for the time I spent with this fantastic family and I will certainly return.
