We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples for the nights of 27 and 28 November 2020. We could not leave Bangkok until 6pm and then many of the main roads through the city were blocked due to expected protest activity. It took us until after 10 pm to travel, nevertheless, the staff waited for our check in until we finally arrived. This is a small, family run, hotel. Hot water in the shower, refrigerator in the room, and instant coffee available in the common lounge area just outside. We enjoyed our very economical stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and we were welcomes with fresh coconuts, Chai tea and cake! Super friendly hosts, they make your room even though it’s a guest house. Really good prices as well (around 20$/night for a double room), the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and hot showers in the private bathroom. The location is great, close to the station, the railway museum and the just off the Main Street (which means a good nights rest!)

We stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, clean, had free tea and coffee, was well located and was generally a really decent place to stay. I liked the balcony but where you could sit out and enjoy a beer. The toilet was a little broken at times, but works. It just needs sorting out. All and all a really good stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our time in Kanchanaburi however, I’d probably say you can do this towns main attractions within two nights. The staff were friendly and the room was pretty clean along with two bottles of water in the fridge! Bathroom was a standard Thai bathroom not the best but I’ve had worse and for the price you really can’t complain. Free coffee too and super close to the bridge on there River Kwai and all the bars. You can hear the music from the bars but it doesn’t really ruin your sleep and they all close dead on 12 anyway! We arrived quite tired from traveling and initially had booked a twin room with a balcony but were offered a double downstairs due to having all our luggage so, being a couple we obviously took the double downstairs - big mistake if you end up having loud, pig ignorant neighbours like we did as you can hear absolutely everything. That said - it’s not really an issue with the guesthouse itself although they should really learn to say enoughs enough when it’s 2 in the morning and you’ve got grown adults sitting outside squealing like children that have just had a sip of alcohol for the first time - embarrassing to say the least! However, minus the above, I would recommend staying here if you are staying for a night or two!!
