We came with two families of 5 and booked 4 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms immaculate. We enjoyed the pool and kayaking in the river (free from the hotel) and dining in the hotel restaurant. We sampled lots of different kinds of food. Staff was responsive anytime we needed anything.
This recently-built beautiful hotel is set in lovely gardens beside the river Kwai. Rooms are very spacious and well furnished. Huge comfortable beds ensure a good night's sleep. Had dinner and breakfast in the on-site restaurant - both meals were delicious, with a good selection of food. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Simply superb, traveled with kids 3 & 7 years old, staff extremely friendly and courteous.. food was good and just they were ready to help you in any needs. Also provided bike and kayak free of cost. I will go again to such a lovely hotel
Visited with family for a quick overnight. Was pleasantly surprised by how modern and we'll appointed the entire property was. Friendly and accommodating staff, food in the restaurant was excellent. Our stay included breakfast - we also received in room Thai massages, dips in the infinity pool were so refreshing. Looking to visit again soon.
This has been our third stay at the Princess Kwai and we live it every time. A quiet serene hideaway tucked away on the River Kwai. If you want a quick qet away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok or want to appreciate the true meaning of ‘Sabai’ I would recommend this oasis. Accomendations are great with private small villas for each guest(s). The restaurant has a varied menu, the food is always delicious and the patio vista of the river is worth the stay. Highly recommend the Princess Kwai!!!! Welcomed with a smile Always leave with a bigger Smile krub 🙏
Stayed there for 4 nights including New Years Eve. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view over the river. Good food - especially the steamed seabass on lime/garlic sauce and the deepfryed seabass with mangosauce. Thai-dishes as PanangCurry and fish&chips also delicious. Good wines (bin 9). Breakfast with lot of thaifood but only little european choice. Would be nice with better bread, warm eggs, bacon and youghurt. Rooms very cosy and good view.
Set in a quiet area on a bend of the Rivee Kwai, the hotel is a little piece of heaven! The rooms are beautiful; the grounds a wonderland of flowers, plants and model animals; the food a gourmet chefs delight and the staff friendly, efficient and helpful! I can’t speak too highly of this wonderful hotel!
An older style hotel situated just outside Kanchanaburi. Room was very clean with solid fixtures and fittings. The hotel gardens were a highlight - beautifully landscaped and maintained. The river terrace and infinity pool were lovely. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; for example, on rainy days they met us in the car park with umbrellas :) We stayed for 2D/1N but wished that we had planned to stay longer just so that we could have spent more time at the hotel.
A lovely hotel just outside of Kanchanaburi (recommend you have own transport) on the river. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The infinity pool overlooking the river was a great place to have happy hour each afternoon and to meet other guests. The breakfast was very good. The only thing was they didn't understand hot eggs, but once explained the cook was more than happy to cook us hot eggs each morning. The gardens are lovely which is well maintain as is the whole hotel) with statues etc,, making an interesting walk to your room. Would differently stay here again on our next visit.
Lovely peaceful hotel in quiet location right on the river 15km from Kanchanaburi railway station and 10km from River Kwai Bridge. Taxis easy to get from reception with max 20 minute wait and 200 baht standard fare. We also borrowed the free bikes which are very good quality and cycled to the bridge. Roads are good with wats to visit en route. Our deluxe river view room was lovely with a view across the pool and river. Mostly very tranquil although people tend to return from trips out and hit the pool just before sundown. Our room 2106 was right by the pool and restaurant at ground level so mostly had to keep nets and curtains closed and balcony had no privacy. First and second floor rooms preferable for this reason. Staff and service good also restaurant for dinner. Freshly cooked and plentiful food at good prices. We got 10% off which was good. I agree with others' comments about breakfast. The a la carte days are better as buffet is a bit of a scrum with items that should be hot ie. eggs, rice etc being cold and nicely presented salad items being a bit warm and limp. Overall great value. We enjoyed our very relaxing stay.…
