Lovely quietly situated hotel within walking distance of the river Kwai< although road busy along which it is necessary to walk. The pool is lovely and big enough to actually swim - some of the loungers could do with repair or replacement but the garden is lovely

This was our second stay at Thai Garden Inn and we loved it! I’d definitely call this place “rustic” but I find that to be part of the charm. It’s not right in the centre of town but you can walk there in around 5 minutes. If you don’t want to walk though, the staff are happy to book you a taxi. Speaking of the staff, they were always so helpful and I liked the fact that they remembered us from our trip two years ago! They clearly care about the customers! They also really helpfully arranged our transfer back to Bangkok for a good price. The pool is also a great addition and was really clean and had plenty of comfy chairs to relax in after your swim. The rooms are slightly dated but the bed was one of the comfiest I slept in in my entire trip. The place is excellent value for money plus they have a couple of really friendly dogs who hang out in the grounds which for me is always a bonus as I love dogs! Absolutely recommend this place for someone looking for a peaceful break in Kanchanaburi!

We spent 3 nights at the Thai Garden Inn and it really is a lovely little retreat. Location is perfect. You feel like you’re secluded it’s so quiet and peaceful but actually you can walk to the Main Street with restaurants and bars and shops within 5-10 minutes. The lodge was clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. The fridge was fantastic, it kept our water super cold and the air conditioning worked really well. The staff are so lovely at this resort. They respect your privacy but also will help you out with anything that you need and arrange transport and trips for you. We didn’t eat here but we did see the breakfast. It’s buffet style mainly consisting of Thai stir fried dishes along with a toast station and a station where a member of staff will cook you eggs the way you like them. The pool area is lovely and a nice place to sit around, however I wouldn’t advise swimming as, being in the Thai countryside, it wasn’t the cleanest. It may be good to note that, like a lot of places in Thailand, there are dogs that live at this resort which for some this may be an issue. However, I myself am not good with dogs and they were really lovely and tame and didn’t bother us at all. Therefore this shouldn’t be an issue for anyone. Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you for choosing us as your choice of hotel during your stay in Kanchanaburi. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed the amenities that we have placed in our bungalows. It is always encouraging for us to learn that our guests are satisfied with our services as it is what we strive for daily. It is a pity you did not have time to sample our breakfast as we provide a full buffet consisting both Thai and Western fair. In fact, many of our items are homemade for example our yoghurts, breads, crumpets, spam and even our bacon is home cured. We apologize that the pool was not as clean as we would have liked it to be. With all the recent cane burning around us, the debris kept dropping and sinking to the bottom of pool despite our efforts of trying to clean every other day. I am glad to hear that you have no problems with our dogs, Mandy and Sammy. In fact, Mandy is the love of most of our guests. Thank you once again for staying with us and for sharing your comments and we look forward to welcoming you again in future.
