Over all a very enjoyable experience. Excellent breakfast buffet. My biggest problem was distance from downtown. Also it appeared to not be very handicapped friendly. I have friends coming from States that I could not see enjoying due to amount of stairs.

Hotel's Favorite
General We were not expecting a lot when coming to that resort in Hua Hin – mostly because the town of Hua Hin didn’t look interesting to us. Indeed, Hua Hin is very touristy and many big concrete buildings directly at the beach were built as hotels during the 90s and early 2000s. However, this hotel is a green, tropical oasis and gave us exactly what we were looking for: Relaxation and Anantara-style luxury in a tropical paradise. Location It is one of the first Anantara hotels in the world – maybe even the first? However, the grounds are simply breathtankingly beautiful. Nice thai-like buildings in an old, tropical garden. Beautiful pools and a nice pool bar. I highly recommend going for the Lagoon Room category (their “executive level” standard). The name-giving Lagoon, the lagoon pool and the whole lagoon area are simply the most atmospheric part of the hotel with a view over the large, old pond full of sea roses and abundancy of life. On the other hand, I would not recommend this hotel, for a beach vacation. The resort is seafront, but the sea doesn’t have a beach (depending on the tide). There are other areas in Thailand which will cater much better for a beach holiday. Facilities Nice tropical restaurant directly at the shore with beautiful views over the sea. Highly recommended. Also, the breakfast restaurant is a perfect spot with outdoor seating in the tropical garden or directly at the main pool. I would recommend to do a cooking class there. They have a outdoor pavilion directly at one of their ponds with a professional equipment and almost 1:1 support from their chefs from the restaurant. The Anantara Spa, is – as typical for Anantara Hotels – one of the key assets of the resort. This Spa area is worth a visit – not only because of the nice service there, but also to see these impressive facilities, which reminded me on an ancient temple in the jungle. How atmospheric is all of this, when the employees turn on the torches spread all over the grounds every evening!? We loved that! New Years Eve Well, we spend our New Years Eve 2021 at this resort. They made quite good advertisement for their “Tropical NYE celebration”. The anticipation was high – and exceeded by far. This was one of the best public NYE parties we had so far. It was a starry, tropical night, the hotel put so much effort in turning the central lane into a party and dining area. A big stage was erected between palmtrees, the food was simply perfect. Really nothing to complain about – tasty oysters, warm and cold food, specialties, thai, international, everything of highest quality. To be honest, we were not expecting this, as we had Christmas dinner buffet before in another popular 5-star hotel in Thailand which was only good – but by far not perfect. 2021 – the second “corona year”… it felt so good to have finally such a nice evening with live music, food and people. Additionally, good to see that also the hotel management was celebrating together with us the ending of that crazy year and a start into a new one, dancing with the guests and taking very good care that everybody on that party was happy. Service Absolutely perfect service. We know, that there has been a lot of disruption due to corona, hotel was closed for a period, and it turned out to be a general problem in the travel industry to get the good, and experienced people back. However, the service in that hotel was great, and they made sure that newbies were always paired with experienced staff. In particular, we keep Khun Ning and Khun Brook from the F&B department in best memory. Last but not least, I would like to thank Khun Tak from Front Office for … just being her 😊 one of the brightest persons we met so far, making our stay unique and memorable.

Me and my family spent two weeks at this hotel. The rooms are nice and clean as is the resort. The breakfast is nice but repetitive. The restaurant food is very good. The beach is disappointing, but you do get a lovely breeze if you use the sun bed on the seafront . The only drawback to this hotel is that there is nothing but a 7,11 nearby. You need a taxi to go anywhere. The night market, bars and restaurants are all 10 minutes away in a taxi or a 2 hour walk away the hotel does run a shuttle bus every evening to the night market and the market village shopping mall. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel you will need to book the shuttle bus at reception as it is only a mini bus it fills up quickly It is a fantastic hotel with lovely staff and I would recommend it as a quiet oasis in a big city.

It was paradise. We stayed in a Junior Lagoon View Suite* which offered extras privileges (*highly recommended). The suite was immaculate, specious, high ceiling, teak floor, beautiful décor, with a large private balcony perched over the Lagoon which was full of sea roses. Special treat every evening before you rest your head, NOK and the housekeeping staff would turn down the bed and place a large leaf with gold handwritten goodnight message of sweet dreams. One of the privileges* permitted us access to the Lagoon Pool at sunset for Canapes + drinks as well as during the day free soft drinks, mocktails, water and use of sunscreen. The hotel boasts two story Thai like Buildings, which are well spread out within the breath-taking immaculate grounds. Simply beautiful with exotic shrubbery. The Hotel is well designed with choice of pools. There are several restaurants to choose from, all great, food excellent with great choices. Highly recommend the Sai Thong with beautiful views over the Oceanfront. In Room dining is lovely too. The Hotel offers a courtesy shuttle bus into town. Everything about the Anantara is amazing. Nothing to complain about. Every member of staff was welcoming, warm and treated you very well. The wiliness of the all the staff was excellent. Special thank you to Alex (nothing was too much for him), James, Ray, Kussi, Tak, KK, not forgetting Nok, the housekeeping staff and Catarina, Resort Manager, what a great team you have.

Property and grounds are beautiful. I took a Deluxe Garden view room which was spacious. On check-in I was offered a lagoon view as the occupancy is low. The additional cost was about 80% more so I declined. I was happy with my choice. I had a nice balcony looking through trees to the pool. Breakfast is amazing and the staff are all great. I didn't get all the names but Noey at breakfast was lovely as was the guy manning the egg station. As other reviews have said, the adjoining part of the beach is a bit average, but I did swim. The beach is nicer closer to the Hilton. I had dinner one night at the restaurant which was nice, but I really recommend the night market about a 10 minute drive away. The food there was amazing. I used the free bikes each day and rode around the local area. Found some great cafes. Cons: The gym is in a separate building at the front of the resort and was nothing special. There are no toilets or change rooms there. Location was okay but not close to the town. However it was an easy Grab to the night market. They do have a shuttle but they charge (!) about the same as a Grab and is not as convenient. I went to use the lagoon pool which looked nice and there was nobody there. However, I was told that pool is only for lagoon room guests. This was a bit embarrassing and there is no signage saying it's exclusive for those guests. Overall it was a really nice stay and decent value.

We were able to order rides into town easily and use their shuttle service! Two pools made it easy to relax any way we wanted. We will be back!

Hands down one of the best resorts I"ve stayed in Huahin. From the super friendly & helpful front office staff like Mr. Khushi to the 5* food & service at every restaurant in the property, i couldn't really find any obvious flaws. The only thing i might have preferred would be a room with a better view. Mine came with trees right in front of the balcony but it was still a nice experience to be surrounded by all that greenery and be shielded from the heat. Would definitely come back again, already planning my next trip. Kudos to the team at Anantara Huahin!

Very lovely, luxurious resort with very friendly and servile crew. Beautiful rooms with the most beautiful views at the tropical garden or the Gulf of Siam. Everybody was very friendly but most helpful were Noëy (Khushi, breakfast, we miss her already) and - of course- Alex ( knows a lot about Thailand, possibilities for trips, is a real entertainer and a very pretty person). Compliments for them. We are looking forward to our next visit to this addicitve resort!! Mirjam, Annabel, Rogier and Théo ( with small kiss to Rrrrocky :))
