Hua Hin, Thailand4 contributions
I was scheduled to have my seventh spine operation in June but a friend told me about Palapon Fitness Camp in Hua Hin Thailand where I live. I went to the camp in Koh Takiab where I met with the owner Klaus and we discussed my spine history, weight loss, Trauma recovery excercises, mobility and muscle strengthening classes, and their weight loss meal plans catered right to my doorstep! I joined and started a program designed by Klaus and a weight loss meal plan. To make a long story short within 5 days and a lot of pain getting my muscles back working properly and my ranges of mobility from head to toe I was at a driving range Friday morning, at a rooftop bar Friday night with friends enjoying life again and Sunday golfed for the first time in 5 years. I lost 3.5 lbs. , put my cane and walker away and was up at 6:30 every morning go to the camp excersise and then go home n swim for an hour and doing stretching excercises shower and remain active all day running around and staying active instead of getting up at 10:00 a.m. eating breakfast showering and laying back down in bed for the rest of the day ! RS that seem to want to join in. If anyone has Definitely had aches n pains but I fought through it. I have a long way to go but I will achieve my goals my mental state has improved dramatically I have a smile on my face continuously. My friends say I look great and amazed at my happiness and progress and cannot believe my progress in such a short time. I have an endless amount of gratitude and respect for Klaus his wife the staff and all the dogs and cats that greet me every morning and seem to want to loin us when we train. If anyone has debilitating problems like I had I strongly suggest a visit to Palapon Fitness Camp vS any kind of surgery . If you want your life back decrease your depression lose eight, learn Kung Fu or Muay Thai this is the go to place hands down.

Hi lamyai97 thank you for your review even when I not understand what you didn't like and wondering why you needed 5 weeks to figure this out. We didn't had for a very long time a guest who not benefit from his stay at Palapon, physically and mentally, same like you.It sounds more like a personal matter which I could have removed from Tripadvisor but maybe it's ok to have not only positive reviews. And thanks for your recommendation to come and check it out, I hope many will follow your advice to do so. Kind regards

This was my 3rd trip to Palapon in 4 years. Went after Christmas. The classes are great, they push you just hard enough to get you in shape. Klaus and Val were great hosts. The instructors were great as always. The meals were great and nutritous. I definitely recommend going to get into shape and to eat better. The setting is great and they added a pool. The rooms were clean and tidy. The other guests were friendly and supportive. Do not expect it to be a boutique resort, you have to put in the work but it is worth it.

We went to the Palapon camp over the xmas and new years period for nearly 4 weeks in order to get fit, relax and to spend some time and to also share an experience together. we stayed in the hotel just up from the camp which is very close. Klaus and Val were excellent by way of training and the meals were brilliant. The three trainers are very professional and have a lot of experience. They know how to push you that little bit more in a meaningful and non-aggressive manner. I would strongly recommend this camp and we will be returning.

Wow. I don't even know where to begin. I chose Camp Palapon based on reviews and conversations through email with the owner. I'm sure he got tired of my stupid questions but always politely answered. I spent the month of December 2019 at Palapon. I came as an out of shape whiny 49 year old who was an extremely picky eater. I left as a 50 year old with a broader variety of foods that I eat and a stronger body. I still have a lot of work to do but after my month there I know that I can do it. Klaus instilled me the need to push myself. I opted to stay in the bungalow and I am glad that I did. It was quite convenient between classes to relax. The bungalows are basic and you will have to walk 30 seconds to the community bathroom and shower room (if you choose not use the Thai shower in the bungalow) I did occasionally miss having an air conditioner. Yes there is a little bit of noise from the surrounding area but honestly I was so tired at the end of the day that it was never a problem. Valerie is a wonderful cook and the meals were fabulous. And it was nice and interesting getting to know people and their stories from all over the world. The workouts were great and they are scaled to your ability. I definitely wasn't doing the same thing as the super fit guy there. But Klaus doesn't make it easy for you. You will be pushed. My main take away from my time at Camp Palapon: Don't compare yourself to others. Each person is on their own journey. Already saving for my next trip.

Dear Melissa, thank you so much for your support and great review here on Tripadvisor. It was a pleasure to have you here and to see how you have changed from a person who doubts about yourself to a person who now believes in herself and knows that she can do it if she wants to. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND NEVER GIVE UP. Sincerely Klaus & Valerie and Team
