What can I say.....great from beginning to end! The whole on line booking process was straightforward. Contact with the venue via email was consistent. Pomm the GM was friendly and really helpful with any questions I had prior to arriving. On arrival the whole team were super friendly, the food served here is good 😊 I chose to have a fishing guide as I was new to this type of angling and my guide NU was awesome! He helped set my equipment up, helped with tactics, advice, landing the fish and also taking photos. Overall a great venue run by really nice people. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back 👍🏻

There are a lot of things I experienced at greenfield valley fishing and will address them all separately PRICING: The ticket pricing for each lake is incredibly cheap compared to competitors who asks THB15000-25000 for a similar fishing experience. The food is well made and reasonably priced. THE LOOK AND FEEL: Greenfield is wonderfully well kept, leaves raked, grass cut, no rubbish anywhere, and the atmosphere is very welcoming FISHING: So we all know that the fishing is the real reason you want to go to greenfield and I will break down my experience separately from the 2 lakes I fished at. CARP LAKE: Do not for 1 moment think because the carp lake is the cheaper ticket that the fishing isn't great. expect to pull a 10+ kg carp every 10 minutes out of the lake. I brought my own rod as i wasn't sure how fishing would go and rented a rod as well, but the fishing is so fast and violent that I never even set up my own rod, I caught 18 carp from 9:00am -6:00pm with 10 of them being over 10KG. so if you want to fish on a budget but still go home with back-pain, a hand full of blisters and an experience you will never forget, then definitely try the carp lake, There are monsters living in there. SPECIMEN LAKE. So we all want to catch an arapaima, and let me tell you when you first hook into one it feels like your line is tied to a car. There is nothing you can do but hang on. Arapaima fishing can be quite slow and i was lucky enough to catch 2 on my visit, but waiting 10 hours for an arapaima can get boring, so what I suggest is getting the 2 predator rod package, use 1 rod for arapaima and the other one for red tail catfish. My biggest arapaima was 180+ lbs but when i hooked into a 35 lbs red tail, it shamed the arapaima. they are incredibly strong and durable fighters, unlike the arapaima who mostly relies on it's weight to get away. Redtail catfish are also ferocious eaters and you can expect to catch one every 10 minutes with your deadbait just 1 m deep in the water. so keep the action going with the red tail and wait for that arapaima to hit you. THE STAFF: if there is one thing that i could highlight about my trip, it would not be the fishing, that goes to the staff and guides. the hospitality and welcome you receive at Greenfield is unlike anyplace i have visited before. My guide NOOK, is full of wisdom, has great humor and is a real stand-up guy, he along with his son always made sure that my lines were baited, the helped me set the hook (which I strongly recommend if you are not familiar with circle hooks and hook onto your first arapaima) and always made sure i had the best chances to catch some monsters. THOY the lady at the front desk is very friendly and welcoming and will provide you with anything you need, with a smile, she helped me rent a bike, exchange money and gave me a taxi ride into town. The owner JOHN, a man who has fished all over the world, who runs greenfield valley out of pure passion and love for fishing is also one of the friendliest and most helpful persons you will ever meet. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Greenfield is a wonderful place, a fisherman's Utopia if you will. Monsters living in those lakes just waiting for you to drop a piece of corn or a some dead bait in front of them. The only negative thing i have to say is, all other future fishing events will pale in comparison to the experiences I gained at GREENFIELD VALLEY FISHING RESORT.

The staff were amazing. They went over and above to put me onto the fish I wanted to catch. I first saw this fish being caught in the Amazon on the program "River Monster" in my home Australia. Being a keen angler I have wanted to catch one myself. I became aware that you could chase this fish in fishing parks in Thailand, which led me to tracking down this place. Fantastic experience and a dream come true!
